UV on AndroPlus Kernel is currently broken.. That's why u can undervolt that much: u don't.

It does NOT work. Even though the values are set in sysfs path, the values don't control anything.
Check my screenshot attached, all frequencies and all cores running rock solid at 700mV.. Impossible

Hi dear!
I try to install Mdeejay's Froyo Sense v.3.1 but people said this version will be
much faster and smooth with hastarin's 7.6 kernel.
However, I don't know how to install only the kernal apart from android rom.
Can anybody help or explain me how to install it ?
and.. can anybody give me the link to download hastarin's 7.6 kernel?
Thank you.
Wow, ok...since you're new:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=787588
But try search next time. See hastarin's readme.txt included in the folder when you download it. It'll walk you through the process.
Thanks man.
Yeah I'm new.. haha
Which one do u prefer to use, overclocking or not?

Not really. Besides, you can always make a profile in setcpu to lower the clock speed if it becomes too hot, if you're worried about it.

Can't say. I've personally not compared them. I just prefer to have to option to overclock or not, but I always do.
Great Job Linuxsociety. Would like to know how to perform GPU overclocking - thanks

Probably via a script. BTW, he's released some more testing kernels with GPU tweaks if you're interested.
As far as running scripts from init.d, you may want his advice on this, as he knows his kernel.

i have a nexus 4 running liquid smooth 2.2 and franco kernel milestone 2
here's the question, in liquid smooth controls there is performance control which is like the app for franco's kernel but with less functions
i was just wondering will the franco kernel frequencies be followed if i have different frequencies in the performance control?
IM SORRY IM A NOOB

I would only use the Franco Kernel Updater app for the franco kernel or you might get conflicts and issues between the two control apps. In the FKU you control frequencies, color and gamma, UV and more.

so i should just ignore the performance control?.. its built-in with the rom and cannot be deactivated

Hey guys..
I am a kind of guy who likes to test all kernels myself to decide which one is best for my usage..
I notice a lot of people using "Hell's Core" kernel on their nexus..
I googled and did not find a english forum for hell's core..
I generally go through the last 3-4 pages of a kernel thread to get to know the issues in that kernel.. but as I cannot do so for hell's core kernel.. I request hell's core kernel users to please mention your issues and expereances of using that kernel..
This can be a good english reference for people wanting to know more about hell's core..
and yeah google translate sucks..

Thank you so much for your effort towards helping.. But I think you are a bit confused. I am talking about "Hell's Core" and not ultimate hell's core... For your information if you do not already know, its mentioned in the UHC thread
This Kernel is a rework of Hells-Core !

Also for you and anybody else the German thread is here -> http://www.android-hilfe.de/custom-...ss15j-jwr66v-hells-core-b38-19-09-2013-a.html
I've been using it for about 4 days now. I have noticed improved battery life. With regular usage, and not a lot of gaming, it extends the time I need to connect to a charger by about 1.5 - 2 hours (vs stock kernel).
As far as speed goes I haven't noticed any improvement but the nexus 4 is already quite fast. Also the kernel doesn't allow overclocking so you should expect about the same performance as the stock kernel.
I'm using intellidemand cpu governor at 192Mhz min value.

I would like to try this kernel as well (on NEO 013 now) Is there not a English thread for it? I am running latest PA rom and want to give it a shot, where can I find it?

I am on pa 3.99-rc2 running hells core b38.
everything works fine, very smooth - battery drain is ok - better than stock.
here is the link

PA is jwr so use anykernel.zip for jss based roms use AOSP.zip
If you choose wrong kernel, you won't brake anything, but you'll have screen tearing.
I'm using hellscore for a while, great balance on baterry live and performance.
My recommendations for hellscore.
did you say hells kernel?

oh k i see.
Hey there guys. I don't know why but if I try to flash something above 4.4.4 my device is getting laggy on gaming. (for example when i play games at paranoid android 4.45.(which is based on KTU84P) the speed approximately 55 60 fps, But in lollipop, marshmallow or nougat based roms it drops to 25 and 10) I tried lots of kernels. Overclocking. Hotplug and voltage tweakings. But result is always same. I searched all around web and nexus 4 related xda forums but couldn't find any solution. If you have any special tweaks or any custom kernel please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Can you give us an example on which game are you having issues? I'll try to help
I'm on chroma 6.0.1 with quanta kernel, that's what i got.

Do you have any special tweaks on quanta ?
Did you trim down the resolution ?
I'm using Nitrogen OS (7.1.1) and get 57

Maybe because the cover in the back i couldn't feel it that high, but it doesn't make any issues or random shutdown or restart.

Nexus 4 GPU is meant to run at 400 MHz, so it won't hurt. It gets warm but it's manageable.

It is CM kernel BTW. No idea about faux sound, I do not listen to music

By the way this is the first time i have installed nitrogenos. I've tried cyanogenmod, slimroms, omnirom, chroma and paranoid but i think all of them like cm. They were annoyingly slow. I heard about nitrogen but this is the first time. Honestly.
