[Q] gprs disconnect in motorola defy

hey guys pls help me on this prob,i have a moto defy and d prob is i install cm9 ics 4.0.4 stable os.when my screen sleep, my gprs or internet is always disconnect pls help me out os this issue........

What build are you on?

i always click d setting and enable-disable of d data connectivity.and again it works for some time.some time i feel when my screen off suddenly my data connectivity is log out.

can someone solve the screen lock on 2g bug?

every custom rom i try from cm12.1 to MM has this bug and its irritating,
on 2g screen locks happen and i use 2g a lot and it drains battery and is frustating
can anyone know reason why this bug happens and how to solve it?

It' s a unlocking bootloader bug as screen freeze. You can't do nothing.
I have this bug too, if I find a fix, I will write it here

Wakelock after updating to Oreo beta

I'm looking for suggestions for figuring out the cause.
I'm not rooted.
I tried clearing cache in recovery.
The wakelock exists even in airplane mode.
The wakelock goes away after a reboot, but reemerges at some point.
Any ideas on what to try or where to go from here?

I had to use a Magisk module to make BBS a system app to get it to work in Oreo. Even with root priveledges it wasn't collecting any data.

I'm not either, but with an ADB command you can grant permission for battery stats anyway.
It's a kernel wakelock. I'm not sure where to go from here. What's the best place to reach out to OnePlus, to have this fixed?

Me neither.

Some people in the Oreo Beta thread seem to think that its a Bluetooth wake lock and that if you turn off Bluetooth and then reboot your phone it goes away.
I had a wake lock problem before I figured out how to get BBS to work but it went away after a couple days. I'm not using the stock kernel though--I'm using Lightning Kernel which blocks some wakelocks automatically and allows you to block others using the ElementalEx kernel control app.

This could be a valid point. I use Bluetooth quite often. Do you use Bluetooth a lot?

OP here. I have Bluetooth on all the time. But as I said, even in airplane mode the wakelock won't stop.

Theres ppl claiming you need to actually boot with bluetooth disabled. Not just switching to airplane.mode but actually starting your phone without bluetooth. Have you tried this?

I use Bluetooth a lot and I'm not having that wakelock problem but the kernel I'm using might be blocking it. Several people have said if you turn of Bluetooth and then reboot your phone the wakelock goes away. It's definitely worth trying.

I ended up going back to nougat. This wakelock was killing my battery life. Going to report the bug now.

Hey, so lately I've been experiencing incredibly fast battery drain, I am confused of why this is happening, I rooted my phone and tried doing some things to improve it, but that didn't help. When I first got my phone the battery was extremely good. I've just recently flashed stock firmware but it's still terrible, does anyone know any tips or tricks, maybe the root of my problem? may be you have done this already. on stock it helped me when i force stopped the quickmemo+ every time i reboot. Give it a shot if you haven't.

Try running "diagnose" under Smart Doctor and see if it comes up with a misbehaving app.

You should try update system apps from dedicated menu.

This does not look THAT bad. Really.
Snapchat... Facebook Messenger... Facebook dedicated app.
Also that battery monitor crap. Anything else similar to that installed?
These are true battery suckers, also try dealing with QuickMemo+ app, as previously mentioned.

You've got a point, will remove one of the battery monitors. I seem to be some improvement after the QuickMemo+ trick.
Although I really don't know any good Facebook & Facebook Messenger replacements. Those I tried were just not giving me full performance and they're not looking good.

Isn't there a way to disable Quickmemo+ without root ?

How? I'm also on European H870 without Carrier , and I can't

I'm experiencing the similar starting this month, and seems like the battery drain comes with heating surrounding the power button, are you seeing the same symptom?

Did you try LG hidden menu trick? To do that, you need to type *#546368#*870# in dialer and you'll see a hidden menu. Then, tap on SVC Menu > LDB > Untick "enable" (both options needs to be unticked) close the menu and restart it. Most of the users says that this method is also useable, you can give it a try.

Hey,i have been experiencing the same thing.For me is like android system and android os and phone idle eat battery as the same time as the screen.So that means i am using the phone and three things at the same time are eating the battery.I went down from 5 hrs sot to 3 and a half.I have done a lot of things like the hidden menu,the quicknote,conserve memory thing.I don't know why it does that and the phone is really heating up.I have not experience this level of heat ever on my g6.I use the h870 europe with january security patch.

You all call this bad backup?? Plz get your phone tested. See my phones's backup.. this backup with no in between charge

sounds like a rogue app, install better battery stats from play store and check results (it will ID apps chowing battery).

[Q]How to permanently Disable Scanning Always Available

HI everybody,
Is there a way to permanently disable scanning always avaliable in the wifi settings?
I know that when on it consume a lot of battery and therefore I want it to always be off but for some reason, everytime that I restart my device, it turn itself back on.
Is there a mode or an app that can take care of that?

You mean the location scanning in location settings? What rom do you have?

It's disabled all the time even after several reboots, xXx 10.9 any tweaks or apps you're using? Clean flashed the rom to test it?

I'm sure it's not a rom problem since it's been off when I was using 10.8 and prior versions and even on 10.9 it's off.
