Hi Guys,
I have a question about the update to version 4.1.2.
When I go to Settings > About > System update, I see that the update to 4.1.2 is found but it says that it is waiting to download but it stays like that forever and nothing happens.
Has anyone else seen such behavior? Do you know why it is happening and if it is normal?
Thanks!
Maybe a stupid question but... are you connected to WiFi when you see the message?

Make sure you have a good WiFi connection. The WiFi in my dorm shows a good connection (String signal) but the internet can sometimes timeout easily. Make sure your connection to the internet is superb.

My connection is very good. For just in case, I put the Nexus besides the wifi router and still nothing happens.

Yes, I know what the arrows mean but my question is why this is happening? Is there a way for me to force the download? Or maybe I just have to wait more (it's been like this since yesterday)?
Try powering off the Nexus and then starting it up again. If that doesn't work, try using the technique to trick it into updating mentioned in this thread (yes, it's for a different situation but still worth a shot)

Hey, thanks for the suggestions. I tried powering off and on and it didn't work.
Then I tried the method to force stop the Google Services Framework and when I went to the System updates screen, I had the option to check for updates. I checked and I am back to where I was before - the update shows but is only "waiting to download"

Well, I bought the N7 recently and I want to see how it feels without rooting and custom roms. But later on, I will most probably unlock it.
Hi everyone. I have the same problem with the download. Mine N7 is also stock. Tried the method with the framework multiple times, tried to restart, tried another internet, still no luck in downloading. Any further suggestions?

Same issue here! I see the update, but it's waiting to download forever. Could this be connected to the location? Same as the the other guy I'm located in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Yeah, I'm starting to think the same, as I am in Sofia too.
Anyway, I could not find a solution, so I rooted and installed CM10, so no issue for me anymore.
Another one from Sofia. Waiting to download and after some time... unable to download.....

Random reboots in Hyperion 8
Overall the Hyperion 8 ROM is a nice-good-looking one. However, I've found 2 major bugs(?):
It reboots randomly at least once a day.
The "Restart" option doesn't work. The phone shuts down but never comes on.
In both cases, when booting, it gets stuck in the Samsung logo. To boot up, I have to remove the battery.
Also, it takes ages to reboot, about 6 min.
Does anyone is experiencing the same issues? Any possible solutions?
Cheers.

I would say try re-flashing it following the install instructions from the Hyperion 7 thread exactly.
I have had the same thing as you when I first installed hype 8 but no random reboots and restart works fine on my current install
One problem I have with Hype 8 is that the stock browser included with the ROM will not connect via wi-fi, at all - although all other apps like Play store do, the browser only works on 3G. I usually use One Browser but that doesn't work either. I am currently using Opera Mini as that will work but I have no idea why this is...and yes I have pruned the hosts file and checked the Droidwall is not on (even if it was I have configured all apps to have access). Annoying, like the way the data toggle sometimes doesn't turn off - but hardly a game-breaker when Hype is so excellent on battery life and memory usage :good:
Cheers,
Stokey

Thanks for your reply Stokey. In my case, I've got no problems at all with the stock browser; it is able to connect via either wifi or 3G. I wonder if such differences may be due to the build we're using. I downloaded Hyperion 8 build 2 with the default Savie kernel. Are you using the same build?
Theroretically build 2 would be more stable, isn't it? Should I revert back to build 1?
Cheers,

No, I only had build 1 because every download of build 2 was interrupted I am trying again now as I really would prefer not to use Build 1 for obvious reasons! I only installed it because of a weird wifi issue I was having on Hype 7 - I did all the tweaks to fix wifi but even though it was on all the time, if I didn't use it for a short while sometimes the signal icon would go grey and stay grey - forever! Although connected and showing an IP address in the advanced wifi settings, nothing at all could connect through wifi and I only had 3G - this has happened 3 times with Hype 7 and necessitated a reinstall via stock each time, hence me wanting to try 8 as I needed the wifi connection and a battery that lasted a full work day for the last 2 days.

I would say stick with Build 2 for a couple of reasons: the launcher is not a paid-app; I think build 2 uses his Hype 7 launcher which I actually prefer (sometimes less functionality suits better); if there were any fixes from Build 1 they will be included although I don't think there were any that were mentioned...
Same kernel on both builds (thank you Savie! :good but as others are saying, you can use at least one other kernel - I have never changed just the kernel but maybe that would help fix my Hype 7 issues...anyhow, I am off to try Build 2 - good luck with yours - let us know how you get on.
Cheers,
Stokey
EDIT: Can anyone help me to get the AudioFX widget to actually do something other than be almost invisible whatever settings I use? Or suggest an alternative that works with Hype 8?

Open AudioFX in drawer app then adjust the transparency settings. Make it 20% then 40% then 60% then back to opaque. It will show up.

Agreed! Or use BeatsWidget included in other roms like USSrv9 and ota of JellyBlast. Its beats themed and looks cooler than the default one.

This is the first time I've tried aokp and I have to say firstly thank you for trying to port it for the s3 mini gang
I like the options, it's very customizable!
Unfortunately I have to make a few pointers about stuff that annoys me
- the graphic tearing/glitching is really bad..
- where's the file manager??
- no performance settings..
- some aokp rom settings are glitchy.. Such as navbar wouldn't disable after I enabled it. Center click was invisible. Meh.
- quick settings button in status bar does nothing, neither does pulling down the right side of the status bar (basically no quick settings tiles)
- I suck at posts like this. Meh.
Ok ok I'm sorry for complaining. I'm very happy with the progress of Cm10.1 which is what I'm using now. Thank you for all your hard work.

Smooth and stable ROM, still has the 1000mhz bug when rebooting with wifi ON and gps OFF. Just need to have gps activated all the time. Camera flash options still inverted.
Lots of customizations available. Confirmed that bluetooth doesn't work well. Tried to transfer an image file via bluetooth- even when paired, always fails.
(Temp fix) I copied the files from CM 10.1 (/system/etc/bluetooth) to that of AOKP, after setting permissions and reboot, was able to have successful bluetooth transfer.
Over all great ROM.

I have a Moto G5 plus with android 8.1 and my wi-fi seems to turn off automatically at between 12-01 AM this started with me since 13 Aug 2020.
I have taken bug reports to try to understand the cause behind it but I don't understand them.
Sorry if I have not provided all the details as I am unaware what details could help to resolve this issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
