Hello, I have recently rooted my phone and flashed CM 12.1 on my Galaxy S4. On this ROM, I encountered few problems. Maybe some of them are recognized by You and can be fixed.
a) Twitch app 80% of the time crashes at starting watching stream. After 3-5 start, stream finally opens and can be watched smoothly.
b) Bluetooth sharing most of the time crashes when I try to send a file to someone. I have to reboot a phone to be able to send a file (first time after reboot 100% works).
c) Sound everywhere is slightly delayed (by about 100-200 ms). I haven't encountered it at stock ROM.
d) When installing an app, Google Play sometimes installs it infinitely.
However, except these problems, ROM is working completely smooth and It gives me very huge boost in performance and fps stability (in AnTuTu Benchmark it was jump from stock rom 31k score to CM 12.1 38k score).
ROM: CM 12.1 17.11.2015 SNAPSHOT stable.
I have backup of EFS partition (copied folder efs with root explorer) from stock rom and I have performed backup of this partition in TWRP when on CM 12.1.
Is ROM Optimized CM 12.1 by JDCTeam better than original CM and is It have same problems?
I will really appreciate any answer.

Hi, I have installed CM10.1.3 stable on my US Cellular XT901 electrify M. The ROM is same as for XT907. everything works fine until after few days my some of the apps specifically games starts freezing giving error ' process.system not responding' and game also force closes. After that every other game or browser like chrome start to Force close giving same error. I reflashed the ROM in clean way.
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache
manual format system
mount system(tried without this step also, nothing changes)
flashed ROM zip
wipe dalvik cache
after activation reboot
flashed Gapps
Tried slim bean ROM build 7.1......having issues with musicFX and poweramp compatibility.
tried different 4.3 ROMS they all feel somewhat laggy.
So can anyone suggest me any solution for CM10.1.3? or suggest another 4.2.2 based stable custom rom.
Back up whatever you need to and reflash back to stock 4.1 using Matts Utility ( Look in Developement Section). Then download and read the instructions on how to flash Liquid Smooth. Its by far the smoothest and astest rom ive used on my Droid M. Except i cant get my bloody Whatsapp contacts to sink. Good luck.
I used liquid smooth and loved it... except batery life which sucked really bad!... it made my M's batery life feel as bad as my Galaxy Nexus was... Terribad!
..
I've tried AOKP and never looked back, batery life is awesome!
Also, big part of Liquid Smooth's slickness is due to the launcher it comes with => Nova Launcher.
Thanks for the reply.
can you provide the link for Liquid Smooth V2.9 because i have v2.8 and it is not working fine. Not able access quick settings menu!!
Does making Nandroid restore to stock 4.1 will help?
I'd like to share my experience solving some basic problems with my nexus 4 running cm11, and 10.2
I had problems with the video freezing when shooting video
I wanted to improve the sound quality because I stream google premium and couldn't find a solution until recently
And had a rebooting problem in the end which I solved.
My nexus 4 worked perfectly running cm until I did the 4.3 update in november. After that the video would freeze when I was shooting. wouldn't happen all the time but would happen sometimes. I did everything, factory resets, reinstalling gapps, restoring the camera app, wiping data. Nothing worked. Even updating to cm 11 did nothing to change the situation. After having to go back to stock because of another problem I ran into -- installed Franco kenrnel on cm 11 and they aren't compatible -- I discovered that the video camera was still freezing. So I discovered it had nothing to do with cyanogenmod roms. Someone suggested flashing the separate photosphere gapp package along with the full gapps package and funny enough that solved the problem.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
I don't know if the recent updated photosphere gapp corrected a problem or what. But. Shooting Video now works.
I switched to omni rom because I wanted to use the franco kernel to adjust my sound settings, in my search for sound quality improvement but the omni rom was a real challenge and was plagued with bugs and wasn't for me. But stuck with it because of the franco kernel.
I then discovered that hells-core kernal did the same thing and works with cm11 so switched back to cm11 the stable snapshot version from last week and installed hells-core kernel. My phone started to reboot capriciously every 10 or 15 minutes and tried everything to correct that, eliminated data from apps, fixed permissions -- nothing worked, but finally decided to flash the latest cm nightly to see if the problem wasn't related to the version of the rom I was running .
When I flashed it, I wiped cache partition, delvik cache, and formated data , reflashed full gapp package plus the photosphere gapp. I didn't flash hells-core again. Maybe that was causing the reboots. I don't know. Everything now works perfectly. No more random reboots, the video camera seems to work fine, I discovered that the cm kernerl does have one volume gain adjustment and am now using viper4android effects equalizer that has gain control for both volume, bass and treble and everything is great. and my sound quality is probably as good as it will get on a nexus 4.
I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to resolve these problems so hope this is of some help to others.
Hi
So i bought a used Samsung Galaxy GT i9505, the seller said that it just had some boot freezing sometimes. So i thought it would be a easy fix with just install a costume rom and wipe data/ cache and stuff like that.
But now that i have got it i I'm not able to fix the problems that he did not mention.
1. The sound does not work at all, Only time it will make a sound is on the official rom when it plays the boot sound.
2. Crashes a lot of gapps and always crash Google+ for some reason. This is something that happens to every rom i have tested. Like slimkat, cm 10.2 and official 4.4.2
3. Crashes almost every time i just click the volume buttons. (The phone recognize headphone totally fine)
4. (only on official rom) youtube videos lagg like crazy, even at 144p. have not tested other video files.
5. Sometimes when booted it just restarts and just stays there for ever.
6. CPU heats way to fast in my opinion.
If you got any suggestions please let me know.
Hi everyone,
Until recently I've been using a KitKat based ROM and I was pretty OK with how my NOTE 3 SM-9005 was performing. However, a few days ago I decided to try a Lollipop based ROM and the problems started. I had similar problems with 3 different ROMs with great reviews. My battery went, for example, from 100% to 15% in ONE HOUR while streaming from YouTube. It never did that before. Also, It sometimes gives a "system stopped responding" error or something like that (it's like the equivalent of explorer.exe crashing on Windows) and after a few seconds it starts working again. Other system apps crash as well every now and then and sometimes the phone just decides to restart by itself.
I initially used Philz recovery and after the initial errors I switched to TWRP and started from scratch. I completely wiped my system internal space before flashing and, of course, I wiped dalvik cache and cache before and after flashing the ROM. I only used recommended gapps. Also, I did not restore any system apps. I started from scratch after the installation and the problem is the same.
To be more exact, I tries flashing so far the following ROMS, experiencing more or less the same problems on each:
temasek's UNOFFICIAL CM12.1
AryaMod V5.4 TW Lollipop Official BOB6
BlissPop 3.5 Unofficial
I also tried the Dirty Unicorns v9.4 ROM from the Original Android Development section but this one went on a reboot loop initially after the first restart so it never really even installed.
At this point I believe I might have done something that I should't have, but it seems strange because this is not the first time I am flashing a new ROM and I never had problems in the past. Also, my NOTE 3 SM-9500 did not have any problem on my previous KitKat ROM. Did I miss something? Should I have used another kernel? If I understood correctly, the ROMs come with a recommended kernel already. If this is not the problem, what could it be? Should I have done any additional thing before flashing a Lolipop ROM after using a KitKat ROM?
I now installed an app for trying to find out what exactly drains my battery but this is not the only problem. The system itself is really unstable.
I would really appreciate some help, suggestions, or opinions. I really don't know what else should I be doing at this point.
Thanks a lot!
Apparently is the media server eating all that battery (currently 68%).
I will format the SD card hoping this fixes the issue.....but could this have something to do with the system error and, sometimes, restarts?
Well I really don't know what to say! A lot of people report battery problems on 5.0 just because they didn't wipe the phone while coming from KK! But you did, so that's no go. Battery life on LP is much better than KK for me, at least 20% better if not more. And I didn't face any system crashing issues either! Don't really know what's going on with you mate.
Someone suggested that maybe I shoud update the bootloader and modem to a Lollipop version but I really couldn't find any info on how to do that.
Formatting the SD card just slightly reduced the battery drain. The phone is still discharging like crazy. Any suggestion on how to update the bootloader and modem?
Thank you.
My boss rooted his LG G2-D02 and installing CM 12.1 in the process. Now, after knowing that CM 13 was already released, he downloaded a copy of it and immediately flashed it onto his phone. He got a problem with Gapps and DL-ed a problematic version which caused the notification,"Unfortunately, Setup Wizard has stopped" to pop up repeatedly. We had tried following a few advices from this website but to no avail.
1.) We already tried using Force Stop and Disable under Apps->(Show system apps)->Setup Wizard (CM). I had also tried giving it app permissions, but all app permissions were already available.
2.) The only option is to flash CM 12.1 back again but it can't be done. My boss set the default recovery app to Cyanogenmod's own recovery program, which had limited functions, so I can't
also use TWRP ATM.
3.) My boss also tried something on ADB but to no avail
4.) Factory reset didn't also solve the problems.
I'm almost running out of solutions... Perhaps, I can use a helping hand from brighter minds in this community.
TIA
I'm using cloudyg2 v3.3 because cm13 has got a lot of bug for example
-I can't proceeded to music
-systtem has stopped once a hour
-I can't close touching vibration
I can't remember now but cm13 has got really much bug (yeah my english is very bad,I know this)
Now system is stable and battery is very very good but still İ can't scretch to music
