I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced having 2 lockscreens? I had swipe enabled for a while until I unlocked it in my pocket. I now have a pattern lockscreen but it first goes to swipe lockscreen then to my pattern. I thought this was unusual and was wondering if anyone else has this issue?
Are you using nova launcher?

Yes I'm using Nova
Never has that. I'm using nova. My lockscreen is fingerprint. I'm getting double lockscreen if I enable tap to sleep.
Using Nova as well but no tap to sleep anything. After unlocking with fingerprint it says something like "Pattern required for added security". Very annoying.
Do you use the "trusted devices" setting? I've had this happen while having that setting enabled. I turned it off and haven't had an issue since.

It's the double tap to sleep option. If you set that to none it will no longer give you the 2 lockscreens

Not using that setting. I've tried switching lockscreen methods then restarting but nothing works. It's not a big deal to me but I would like to unlock my phone without having a two step process.

Since yesterday the fingerprint for the lockscreen doesn't work anymore. Tried several options from Google to get it working again. Nope. Also the other lockscreen safety options just do nothing: pincode, pattern. Nothing works. These options only work once, when I shut the phone down completly. Once started again, all the options to lock the lockscreen do not work. I can just swipe, whatever option I have installed for the lockscreen. Anybody else with these problems? And what can I do about it?
Sounds like you have smart lock enabled.

Has anybody been able to get the fingerprint scanner to bypass a secondary security feature to open the phone after doing double tap to sleep while using a different launcher? I like Action Launcher 3 but so far every double tap to sleep app that can be controlled by AL3's gestures requires knock code to open the phone even if the fingerprint scanner is used to wake the phone. I found one that worked with my previous phone (GS7E) but it's not compatible with this phone. So far every app I've tried hasn't worked (including ones that say they are MM fingerprint compatible).

Ohh... So that's what happens. I thought my phone was randomly turning off the fingerprint feature. Using Nova and that's happening to me as well
It's something that's been happening since MM
you can double tap the status bar and it will work but limits you to double tap only on that area (even the Nova beta has the issue too)
In MM there was a workaround using Screen Lock Pro app form the playstore, but it no longer works in Nougat
Hoping the developer fixes it soon(if possible).
If youre rooted nova allows you to use fingerprint after double tap to sleep now

Use the app DTSO from the Google Play Store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.enlace.doubletap&hl=en
Place an invisible widget on your homescreen & you have DTTS.
Yes,you do need to make room for a widget on your homescreen, but, unless you cram pack your desktop with apps/floders/etc...,this shouldn't be hindrance.
Will this work with secure locking,IDK,I just use swipe to open, but,if you're looking to regain DTTS,it's worth a shot.

DTTS is not the problem, we can get it to do that.
The issue is the secure lock and wanting to use fingerprint sensor on the subsequent wake.

I've had absolutely zero issues with my FP scanner and Nova Launcher Prime. I just tested your issue (double tap status bar, then unlock with fingerprint). I went straight back to Chrome, where I was previously. No secondary security hurdle at all. I'm on the tmobile variant.

Yes on the status bar it's fine but not any open spots on the homepage.

I've got double-tap on my home screen set to open Google Now. I didn't even think you could turn off the screen double tapping anywhere but the status bar?
Anyone else having problems with KnockON not working? I have it enabled but tapping on the phone isn't turning phone off.
Using the stock launcher?
No issues here. I'm using Nova. Not sure that launcher matters though...

Do you have nova setting an administrator account? Nobody else has been able to get knock off in nova to work without either hitting the status bar or setting an administrator account which overrides the fingerprint sensor.
To turn the screen off using the KnockOn feature, I double tap the status bar. (using Nova launcher)

I knock the status bar. I thought that's how it works. But I never even tried the stock launch so maybe it works everywhere.

Ok thats why I asked if he's using the stock launcher. In that one you can knock anywhere.
Go to Settings > Display and scroll down to make sure the Knock On feature toggle is turned on.
Good luck!

Thanks but I have that turned on and I'm using Nova Launcher.
I use Nova Launcher as well and have had no problems with either knocking on or off. You probably already know this, but just in case....
There is also a setting in Nova Launcher that assigns what Nova does when you double tap. It's in Nova Settings > Gestures & Inputs. Mine is set to "screen lock" when I double tap. Good luck!

No way mate, really, just this??? I tried and it worked, also removing the SD card was giving the same result, but better uninstalling nova that to have issues with the sd card. Your great man, thanks
Nova isn't causing this for me on the beta :S weird.
I ran Nova fine with the reader
Had the same delayed fingerprint unlock issue. Went away after replacing Nova which has been my default launcher for years.

Uninstalling Nova didn't actually get rid of
the fingerprint delay. I eventually figured out it was my immersive mode settings which causes issues on open beta. Changed the settings and the fingerprint to wake works great.

adb shell settings put global policy_control immersive.navigation=apps,-com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox
This just hides the navbar but replacing navigation with full will hide both navbar and status bar with no fingerprint delay.

I have a problem with the apps not going fullscreen when I enable that option in settings. The only way too have the apps in fullscreen is by enabling gestures. I'm using nova launcher but it's the same thing with Samsung launcher.

You need to go into settings /display / full screen apps and enable each one you want.
You need to take it off auto.
Already said that I've tried that and it doesn't work.

You said you enabled it in settings, that is vague as you can enable it in settings yet you still have to take it off of auto on each individual application.
It's working fine for you? I think I need to do a reset.

I did reset but still not working. Also edge lighting doesn't work. Maybe the phone is faulty? What can I do?
Went to a shop that was displaying the S10+ and tried to see if it's working but it's the same.
