Hi, This is for samsung galaxy a3 2016 a310f
I bought my phone yesterday, root, twrp recovery, and exposed are done.
And i found strange thing in my setting, that there are no haptic feedback option anywhere in my setting menu.
Even in the keyboard setting, i can't find it.
I like to feel haptic feedback while i'm typing, but no.
So i like to know if it's normal, Do you find haptic feedback option in samsung keyboard setting ? (A3 2016 A310F)
well i googled it and there are some solutions that i need to turn off power saving mode, such and such.
None of that helpful.
Same problem here.
Purchased 2016 April 15. T-Mobile Hungary - A3 2016 v5.1.1.
No haptic feedback and no haptic feedback settings.
ALSO NO SETTINGS FOR SOFTKEY LIGHT DURATION. Very annoying!
Anyone?
By default there is no haptic feedback in 2016 A series. So dont worry.

WORRY?? WTF??? Why in the world would they do such an insanely retarded thing?
I want haptic feedback on my Menu buttons! I want to be able to set its light duration!
These have been there since day one. Which knob thought this would be a brilliant idea?
These morons are really starting to piss me off. Sorry.

I agree with you guys... Haptic feedback and soft key lights are a must-have to me...
For the touch lights we have a solution which is at least working for my A7:

Haptic feedback.
Good haptic feedback at that. I've used a XOOM, transformer, and now the gtab. Haptic feedback is excellent and helpful and i never saw it mentioned in reviews.

Nope. The first thing I've disabled when I got it at IO( and after upgrade to 10.1) was haptic feedback.
Good for those who enjoy but but I for one can't stand haptic feedback, disable it on all my devices.

The haptic feedback could cause that keyboard lag issue when typing on forum.
I remembered someone said turning off haptic feedback as workaround that fixed the keyboard lag.
Although, I like the haptic feedback (I enabled it on my Nexus S and my iPad2).
PS: I tried to search the thread but the search function is not available. Just search keyboard lag and you will find it.
Not good for battery - OFF!!!
GT 10.1 has 7000 mAH
How much battery % do you think will be consumed by that haptic feedback?
10%? 5%? ... that's too much!
On iPad2, I don't notice any different with battery life whether I turn it on or off ..
My Nexus S can last 2 days on single charge!

Yes, reviews never mention this feature. Excellent news. Haptic feedback seems to mostly unpopular but I absolutely love it, although it did feel slightly odd on the Dell Streak (5-inch one)
Woah, the iPad 2 also has haptic feedback too?
Ah damn, sorry, I think I was mistaken all over.
I was thinking vibration on the keyboard.
LOL!
Apologize to all posters in this thread

When I had my Acer Iconia I still experienced keyboard lag, even with hepatic feedback turned off.

I thought the iPad didn't have haptic feedback!?
I have corrected my post. See my previous post please ....
Anyone know if the N7 has it? I like it for the software buttons and keyboard. And unlock. And when moving content around the homescreen. And basically wherever it should.
I'd be surprised if it didn't have haptic feedback. It's one feature I've come to expect from every Android device I own.
After I got drunk and lost my first iphone and switched over to an android phone I was blown away when my phone started vibrating each time I pressed a key. I've never looked back since.
I'm worried that it won't have it- the GTab 2 7.0 i just sold didn't have it, and i HATED not having the feedback.
in some videos i've seen i've heard a vibrate, but not sure if it's from the tablet or not.
I hope it does. I run Mirage CM7 on my Nook Color and I really miss the feedback I have on my phone.
Anybody confirm yes/no on haptic feedback? Thanks!
I have yet to see a tablet with haptic. Granted, I don't go to Best Buy and test every tablet they have, but I know that the Asus Transformer line doesn't.

Huh? Perhaps I'm missing the option on my TF300 and my local Best Buy has a broken TF201. Let me know where the option is.

Settings, Language and Input, Android Keyboard settings, check Vibrate on keypress.
Can be tweaked under Advanced settings. (Duration.)
I can't remember which reviewer, but I remember one of them saying that "force feedback" is "comfortable" on the Nexus 7. I'm taking that to mean haptic feedback is decent enough...

no feedback, there is no option where you usually find it on a phone. I turned on feedback on my keyboard app but I didn't feel a thing when typing.
Yep, Laptop Magazine confirms.
"We were disappointed to learn that the tablet does not offer haptic feedback, so there's no way to emulate the tactile feed of a physical keyboard."
http://www.laptopmag.com/review/tablets/google-nexus-7.aspx
Dang it, Nexus 7, I'm trying so hard to love you... ;-)
I wonder then what the guy at Ubergizmo was talking about...
nexus 7 does NOT ave haptic feedback
I have a Google Nexus 7 and cannot see any setting that turns haptic feedback on. Furthermore I tried installing Swiftkey and the haptic feedback option is not available, which mean to me that the Nexus 7 does not have haptic feedback. I love haptic feedback, but honestly, don't miss it that much because the Nexus does have a sound click feedback which works equally well.
I have yet to see a tablet with haptic.too. so....no happy

Ainol Elf II has haptic.
My father bought a cheap 2.3 7" tab while in China a few months ago. It has a vibration motor, but haptic feedback would be a bad description for what this thing does
Without another unit to reference, I have to think something is up with my vibration motor. With haptic enabled on button press, I can't feel anything. I hear a very low, almost inaudible sound that could be the motor trying to work -- but I feel nothing.
How's your haptic response? Is it very pronounced or almost unnoticeable? I want to say I felt it much more during initial setup..
Also when switching the ringer from silent to vibrate, I do feel it (and hear it) but it sounds almost like a dying motor; very weak and unhealthy.
Am I off base here?

I've had my N4 for 3 days now and haptic response is as strong as it was at the start. I am constantly pleased by it since it was poor on my GNex! Vibration in silent mode is great as well so no unhealthy sound here. Sorry to be so happy with mine!

Yea, that's what I was afraid of.. going to try a restore (although I don't have much faith..) and see where that gets me. Short of that, guess I'm going to have to call Google for a RMA.
Sounds like a hardware issue.

Nah, man. Vibration comes and goes, its system-wide not just keyboard. I already have a replacement on the way.

sorry to hear mine was very low and thought it was a possible hardware issue, but discovered advanced options and cranked up the haptic and it works fine...sorry i couldn;t help!
It's so bad i can hear it vibrating/echoing. Is everyone else's this strong? And if you have/had a 3/3T do you think it is a lot stronger?
There's an option to decrease the vibration and intensity and even the vibration pattern. You could try that.
Oh boy.
Yes. As the other guy mentioned. You can decrease the intensity in setting.
But also: I am coming from a htc10. The OP5 is way more quiet / weaker than my 10. If you think the OP5 is loud, the htc 10 would be an earthquake to you ;D

I love the 3T vibration. It's there just enough to know it's there. My wife doesn't think the 5 is as strong as her iPhone 7+ vibration so I guess I'm just used to the 3/3T plus personal preference.
I Love the Vibration of the op5, but i Need longer Vibration!!!! Even in WhatsApp settings it doesnt Work

Coming from the s7, the haptic feedback is so strong, even on Light intensity... It would have been nice if it was more refined The s7 is far superior in this aspect.
Regarding htc10, when I first got that in hand, the haptic feedback was a instant no go for me :-s

Coming from the Galaxy S4, the vibration on the OP5 is much too weak for my tastes.
Is it still too strong? I recall reading that an update lowered the intensity overall. Does anyone know what was changed? I'd like to be able to increase it back (if safe to do so). Hoping it's rom based and not kernel. Or if it's kernel, maybe a custom kernel already has it increased
So after the july update, everything seems to be cleaner on my phone. But i just noticed 1 thing that annoys me for the past few hours.
When u turn on ur mobile data it goes juz like normal but when u wanna turn it off, there's a annoying pop up message that wants confirmation from you.
Anyone knows how can i turn that off?

And the scroll lag is still here + the effin proximity sensor issue. This is a joke and now I'm almost certain those 2 are hardware issues.

If you use Xposed (Warning - This breaks Safetynet, even systemless Xposed does) then you can use the module named I Said OFF! to turn off this annoying pop up.
Custom ROMs don't have this annoying pop up if you are willing to ditch stock.
