Problem 1: When i start Need For Speed ( latest NFS game), when i am in the menu of the game, my B button on the shield controller doesn't work, when i get in game it works again, why? And the main issue here is, when i steer to the left or right it steers rtealy fast, waaaaaay to fast and far. Someone knows how to fix this?
Problem 2: When i start The Division, the screen comes up, and then there comes that noise sound ( like if you are looking to a tv channel without a program on it and the snow screen), and i can't get it fixed. Someone can help?

I dropped my phone yesterday and now all I get is a white (or bluish, or with lines) screen. With VC I can still make and receive calls, and Play media files. The touch screen even works if I know where the button is without the screen showing it. Does anybody have an Idea of what I can do to fix it? I have not done a hard reset yet, hoping that someone would have an idea.
I was thinking of going into Cingular and trying to get some help from them, but should I reset it to the official ROM first (I would have to download it from somewhere)? Also what do you think of the new 8525?

Hi, this is my first post here I didn't have time (and will) to read the rules and everything, so I just hope that this is the right forum for this kind of request.
Since you guys have showed up to be people with nice expertises, I request your help to avoid going to any support center and spend money for something that by lucky means, may be fixed at home
The problem is that when doing some operations, the device freezes and no action can be done, whatever button I press or wherever I click with the stylo.
The only thing that can be done to restore for a while the correct functionality of the device is to remove and reinsert the battery.
I don't know exactly when this problem started to show up, because the device isn't mine, so I don't even know what can be the possible causes.
I have also to say that this problem occurred few times at the beginning, but now it happens more and more often making it impossible the use of the phone. Sometimes I even can't turn it on.
I've tried to substitute the battery, but with all of them, the problem remains.
After that I've tried the software reset, didn't solve anything.
The hardware reset didn't solve anything either.
I thought then that maybe the operating system was going nuts, so I tried to flash the device putting WM6.1 Stratos FE+ on it (of course, following the guide and without doing anything wrong), but nothing changed.
I don't know what else it could be, so before throwing this piece of garbage in the bin I ask here for the last sentence, if you can help me.
I have some pictures attached of the phone freezing and the screen tearing up (looks almost like The Matrix movie).

From my experience, i think your problem is due to CPU overheating.
There are similar threads on this forum, regarding your problem.
I advice you to check those threads.
have anyone fix that problem? i have the same problem, but 3months before i put a rubber between the cpu and the metal cover and it worked, but now again and the rubber dont help anymore
I didn't do anything still on my phone, I am waiting that somebody gives us an answer

I have same model and same problem, When i press and hold central navigation key and power key it power on,and it work,few minutes....
On Monday I will overheat cpu and you hear the results ... hopefully positive

thinh30 its overheating problem of cpu as i experiance this freezing problem when media player is in use for long time or during usb connection with pc
i think cpu speed should be lowered to avoid overheating and not increased
it's not that , the screen connector is destroyed , i have the same problem , it's not CPU , use search , there were solved this problem few years ago
hey, so ive traded my phone 2 times as some people already know that and reinstalled gun bros, im experiencing something i havent experienced in the other 2 phones which is weird touchscreen issues, sometimes the controls work sometimes they dont when i touch them, the main issue is with movement keys on the upper side of the screen or when viewed horizontally on the left side of it.
Anyone experiencing random glitches with the touchscreen? as in sometimes even though youre touching it the phone doesnt detect it and you have tap the touchscreen again to work?

Maybe you should take a video using a multitouch test to actually see the issue.

Hi fellow Gun Bros players I do not mean to hijack this thread but I would like to ask if anyone is able to connect with facebook in the new version (2.0)? My friends on LG O2X and HD2 can connect no problem but for some strange reason I cannot.
I was on Villain ROM 1.4 and I even flashed to 2.0 to see if it helps, but so for no go for me.
Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sometimes mine connects while other times its stuck in the loading screen trying to connect... i havent messed with stuff like adding bros cause i dont know how to anyways, ive added some in facebook gun bros but they dont appear on my phone.

when I play a racing game, I hold my tablet straight, and the car always moves to the right. and not just one game but all games.
So i tried contacting acer here in Australia but no reply to my emails,,,And I try to live chat with them on the American website but they always kick me out.

from another thread I seen that someone used GPS and status utility from market to calibrate those sensors.don't remember the obut I agree with the guys above.patients ALREADY.

Are you on stock rom
Are you rooted. If so what modifications.
When did you notice it messing up.
Have you tried to do a factory reset.
Basic diagnosis tools that could help you.the more you explain a issue on here the more curious you will get some people to help.

Thanks for helping.... It turned out that I was using some crap games from the market,,,,I downloaded games, like need for speed shift and raging thunder and everything is fine now thanksss.
But if you really want to help me, please try downloading a game called wave blazer lite.
And tell how it runs on your tablet.
Most accel./gyro sensor required games that don't work with your tablet are made specifically for phones. You can get away with using phone apps for tablets usually but there's a very high chance that phone games requiring the accel. or gyro won't work for tablets by design, even with calibration inside the game itself, though there are a quite few exceptions.
The only suggestion I can make is to advise you to specifically look for tablet designed games for now. If you like a game, write the dev. asking them if they plan to release a tablet friendly version anytime soon.
acer iconia tilt problem
I had the same problem. On the side of your iconia there is a tiny pinhole with reset beside it. Use a pin or paper clip. Push once and fixed. Won't erase any info neither. I can now fly my FA18 app again!:fingers-crossed:
i've been trying really hard to get a droidmote/x360ce+splashtop setup with my shield and computer so i can stream regardless of my poorman's spec (1.9 ghz core 2 duo, GeForce 9800GT, 8GB ram, at least i have the second-latest OS, windows 8 64 bit) but droidmote and x360ce dont seem to be working correctly. when i try to play games like portal 2 (yes i know /bin for source engine games) the ONLY controls that work right is the up/down r-stick movements and the l-stick(and i'm not sure but maybe the right button idk) but i'm getting problems like- moving the r-stick left and right, which should move like mouse, counts as placing b/o portals, depending on the direction used. the r-trigger counts as moving the mouse right. buttons like l-trigger, l-button, y and b just dont work. i'm almost positive x and a aren't mapped right. the pause button does not work. i havent been able to test the dpad so i don't know if there are any problems with it. any possible help with this? i've wanted to stream from my computer so bad but i never figured out how to use droidmote until now. now i am so close and i'm both happy and depressed about it.

i had heard of it, but since i preciously did not know how to set it up right, i did not believe that splashtop thd actually HAD controller support. then, earlier, i got an idea. how aboutnif i tried to install the splashtop controller drivers like the droidmote drivers? well, lets just say it worked. it worked far better than i anticipated. so now i do not need this thread to help me any more. glad noone replied else i never would have put my brain to the task of thinking like that. if i'd gotten replies i'd still be sitting here troubleshooting droidmote, the bs controller program (at least for me it is being) i played portal 2 for about an hour after i discovered splashtop controller support and it worked flawlessly. maybe going to try minecraft with minecontrol later. bye!
