Hey guys (and girls),
I've got a strange problem with my phone.
Almost every time I have to shut it down it won't turn on again.
I can try everything like going in recovery or download mode, just nothing happens.
I installed JDC optimized cm 12.1 on the phone but the problem appeared after a failed factory reset in stock rom without anything flashed.
It helps when I remove the battery for a longer time, like an hour or so.
I installed a new bootloader and modem, I flashed a pit file but nothing helped. Flashing works without problem, once it turns on.
Generally the phone runs smooth and without any bugs or errors.
Could it be an hardware failure or is it a software thing?
Thanks in advance for any help! If you need more informations just ask. It's a i9505 by the way
It appears to be a software problem. If it is a hardware problem you would get the problem regardless of the rom that you flahsed.
Install the stock rom via odin and wait and see for two weeks whether the problem comes back or not. If the problem comes back then you might have a hardware problem.
I have the same problem. In another forum someone told me to be something relative to the power button but I've not tested that at the moment

I have actually no problems once the phone startet, everything works fine.
It has had the problem first with stock rom, then i flashed JDC optimized Cyanogen and it was still present.
Then i thought it could be some problem with the Memory and i flashed a PIT, but that didn't change a thing.
Right now i'm without phone since 15 o'clock, its 00.15 now. That really ****s me up!

Hello,
I had to put my phone to repair because it died completely. Today I got my phone back, they replaced the battery and main PCB.
Before the repair I used CM7 on the phone without any problems. I also installed CM7 on another 3 Defys of my friends, so I pretty much know what am I doing.
The problem I have is that if I flash CM7 (any version - 7.1, 7.2RC, nightly) or MIUI, the phone stays in an endless restarting loop. Sometimes it even boots up completely and then restarts again.
The strange thing is that if I flash back the original ROM (jrdnem_u3_3.4.2_179-002) the phone works without any problems.
Do you have any idea what might be wrong or what should I try?

Try wiping data/cache before and after flashing CM/MIUI.
I know its not necessary and u r following the right process. Sometimes these things just do the trick.
I tried that, unfortunately it didn't help. I don't know what can be wrong with the phone. Maybe the overclocking from 800 MHz to 1 GHz causes the problem.
Do you know if I can disable it somehow? Or is there another 2.3 ROM which I could try?
Hi All
I have an issue with my S5 Plus (G901F) a few days ago I rooted, TWRP and installed the stable MM ROM from Tkkg1994 and have been happily using my phone. This morning while I was opening the Gmail app the device rebooted and when it came back up I noticed WiFi was not on. Pressing the quick menu WiFi button turns it green for a second before going back to disabled. Likewise going to into settings - WFi and using the slider does not work either, it just goes back to off.
So far, I have wiped ART/Dalvik, reflashed BL and Modem, factory reset. Wiped the whole device and redid everything including diffrerent ROM's on the same BL/Modem (CPE1) and have the same result.
Everything else works, just not WiFi, I should also add I have tried with and without the SD card and disabling/enabling other radios (GPS/BT) in different combos has not worked either.
Has anyone come across this and can they suggest next steps?
I'm currently downloading the stock ROM that came with my phone to see if that helps.
Cheers
Stock ROM did not help.
Did you find solution? I have recently started to have same issue with same device.

Probably not. The S5 seems to suffer a lot by such issues. I bought mine 3 months ago in a shop. It worked for about 2 months very well. Then all of the sudden it became hot in my pocket so i had to quickly remove the battery. After this the device suffered by ocessional reboots. Nothing helped. Even trying to reflash the stock firmware by trying several Pit´s.
Finally got a replacement as obviously either the RAM or the CPU got defective. The other phone lasted for one week as the wifi module got defective there. Nothing helped either. Now it´s my 3th S5. This weekend my flashlight and camera stopped working. Fortunally got this fixed by reflashing the stock firmware.
Honestly I like the phone but it seems to be quite buggy. Never got such problems with my old S4 and am thinking about going back to the older device.
dude try flashing 4 files flash through odin
Hello, everyone!
Last week I received a brand new Xiaomi Redmi 3S. Everything seemed fine until I noticed that the phone tends to reboot from time to time. Sometimes, it can't work for a couple of minutes before rebooting and sometimes I can spend hours playing with it before the error happens.
I tried updating to the latest official stable MIUI and the problem persists. I switched to the developer version, to no avail.
Then, I decided to unlock the bootloader and install a custom ROM (from Xiaomi.EU) and it didn't solve the issue.
Reading through some threads in the en.miui forums I found some posts by a guy who claimed that the problem could be solved by using KernelAdiutor... But his method didn't work.
I made a video, as the vendor requested. There, you can see the problem: It rebooted my phone twice in less than 5 minutes.
I think that this problem isn't related to the battery, as the reboots have happened even while the phone is connected, and just before each reboot the phone freezes for a moment, like if a program crashed.
Any ideas on how to solve this issue? Thanks in advance.

No expert here, but seems could be hardware error. Next time if you happen to have such thing, don't unlock the bootloader. But maybe you can relock it (if thats needed) and install stock and send it back to them. The device seems to have a defect.
same issue for ME also ! every day crying with redmi 3s ! F**k
Hi!
Recently i bought a new phone, and i wanted to factory reset my old mi note 2 and flash new Rom on it. I downloaded last pixel experience and installed it via TWRP, but i had to do sth wrong, because since then it randomly shuts down or restarts. Whats interesting is that it happens only when phone is locked and nobody uses it. I tried to flash miui ( TWRP and miflash) but it didnt help. I suppose that i May have done sth wrong because my sensors were also not responding and i had to install persist.img to make them work. Does anyone know what can i do with that problem?

Hi I had a similar problem with my Mi Note 2 and the only solution that worked for me was to flash the original Global ROM.

I ve Tried oficial global and it still occurs, i think it have something to do with deep sleep, because it restarts like a minute after i lock the screen, it doesnt happen when phone is connected to pc or charger, and it occurs also in safe mode.
EDIT
Random restarts seem to stop on china rom, but i would like to have polish language, is there any option for that?
Since Friday my device is restarting automatically with error DEVICE CLOSED UNEXPECTEDLY
I tried hard reset went to service centre they did an software upgrade and then a downgrade to 12.0.3 from 12.0.5 but nothing worked
And now when i try to play any sound whether through YouTube , Music etc it is just crashing
Even the Sound settings are not opening and i couldn't connect to calls either and volume keys are also not working
Seems like hardware problem
But other things are working
Are you sure they did upgrade and downgrade?
Was it full wipe?
It recommend to flash custom ROM and see if sth cbange
Yes they did downgrade from 12.0.5 to 12.0.3
And I had full wiped from recovery 2-3 times
And yesterday I noticed one more thing my front pop-up camera was working fine but when I enabled sound effect for it
It just freezes
Ok, so that's officially India MIUI issue
try this
This is ultra battery saving option related and they're working on an update
i have already tried all these but nothing works and how my device is stuck in fastboot mode while trying to flash stock rom through mi flash tool
You mentioned earlier that phone is boiting, but it restarts often.
What error in miflash?
Yes it was booting then only when I tried to flash miui11 through mi flash tool it got stuck in fastboot mode
Mi flash was giving crclist error everytime
Anyways I have successfully flashed miui 11 through twrp but the above problems are still there
I had exactly the same issue with this device.
Then tried 5/6 custom roms of android 11.
Nothing worked, every os had it's own issue.
Then lastly I've installed PIXEL EXPERIENCE 10 PLUS rom and the phone started to work fluid.
I have a same problem. Whenever accessing sound, if freezes and restarts! Went to Mi center. They said they have to replace the motherboard . Actually it's one of the IC that's malfunctioning... Here's a video -
Let e know If there's any ROM that gets around this issue

Nope the audio issues cannot be fixed with any software. I think it's caused due to some IC failure.
You would have to change the motherboard to fix the issue or you have to be a professional electronics engineer who knows and have the equipment for micro soldering.
The same issue was encountered with me also. I am in great distress right now. Tried more than 30+ ROMs (including recover, fast boot, custom, and stock), but nothing helps.
IF you find anything please update here.. THat’ll be a great help indeed!!
