Notifications on edge mode - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hi, sometimes I accidentally enter a mode where my phone is locked, and my notifications are visible on the edge of the screen, I'm also able to see the current news on the edge when I swipe. I have seen this 3 times but I have no idea how to access this feature.
Does anyone know how to enable/disable and what it is?

Settings > Edge Screen > Edge feeds, tap on it and u see 4 default feeds and an option to download more.
It activates when screen is off and you swipe the left side of the screen.

It is called edge feed. You enable it by swiping up and down the edge of your screen. You can disable it in the Edge Screen Settings in Settings.

Ahh, thanks guys! Didn't know about that.

Hi, Im having an issue with my edge feeds. So I have the nnight clock activated, and can see notifications but i can only see the first finance stock and i am not able to scroll right or left to the other stocks. Also right to left on the notifications. This used to work but not sure what happened or why the feed wont scroll side to side. Thanks for listenin and for your time.

No Lock Screen Notifications

Sprint S8 variant here:
I'm unable to get notifications of any kind on my lock screen. All notification settings are on for all apps and have it set to display all details of notifications. Also did a full reset on my phone and still no notifications. The edge lighting also doesn't work when the screen is off. I've also tried the Screen Always On option and still no notifications other than the LED. #Annoyed
My notifications don't display on my lock screen either with my S8. Getting annoyed too! Paid good money for this phone and one of several features I consider important to have on my phone.

What kind of unlocking method did you choose?
I had the same issue because i have choosen to unlock the phone without any security and in this case there are no notifications on the lock screen.
Ok so I finally figured it out...i had no security for a lock screen and wasn't receiving the notifications on AOD. I dont like having any security. So I changed my security to Swipe and then went to
-Settings
-Display
-Navigation Bar
-turn on Unlock with Home Button
Now youll get your notification on AOD without have any security. You just have to long press the home button to get to home screen from AOD.

Notifications on AOD without lock screen.

Hi guys!
On mine S8 I have notifications on my AOD, and I have the lockscreen option "pull". The thing is that I dont have to drag my finger over the screen after exiting the AOD. But my girlfriend also now bought the S8, and when I put in the exakt same settings she has to drag the finger over the screen after exiting the AOD. If I set the lockscreen option to "none" the notifications wont show up.
Do you have any idea why she can't have it like I do?
I'll just answer this myself, found the option for this. It's in settings>display>navigation settings and check that the option to unlock the screen by holding the home screen.

Edge lighting not working when screen off

Is anyone else having trouble with this? No matter what I do the edge lighting doesn't work with the screen off. I searched everywhere and nothing anyone says works.

For apps you have to specify which app triggers the edge lightning.
For calling put your screen facing down side.. You will see green light will be there on edges...
Display > Edge Screen > select Edge Lighting (tap on the text not the toggle.
Then tap on Manage Notifications, and choose the apps you want to use Edge Lighting.
