Hello.
I have an LG G2 802 that i managed to royally screw up last night, I was about to install the new firmware update for my phone, completely forgetting that i had a custom rom installed on it. After the firmware update was finished downloading, the phone rebooted into TWRP and would not boot normally after that, could not boot into the previous custom rom i had installed... I decided to wipe all the data, and try to use an old backup i had laying on the internal storage, got to it, wiped all data and started recovering the old backup. But the revovery wasn't working properly and it gave me an error, after fiddling around with TWRP a little more, i went into wipe -> advanced wipe -> and wiped everything, because i had an idea that i could just force a new rom over by ADB from my PC, and this all resulted in that I have no operating system, the phone boots into TWRP all the time, I've tried to hard reset it, but it just boots into TWRP whatever i do
Please help
Just flash a new KDZ over it. And next time check XDA if someone had the same problem as you and you will find the solution.
I've done a quick search about flashing a new kdz, and they involve getting into download mode, I can't access download mode, it just sends me to TWRP no matter what i do

Are you able to boot into download mode?

Ok Hold the power button until the phone flashes twice and then let go off the power button. When it's off, hold volume up and then connect it to USB simultaneously.
I just tried doing that, held the power off button until the LG logo flashed twice, the phone turned off, and then i held volume up button, LG logo appeared and then it just went straight into TWRP

For those who have similar issues, I did the below steps:
1. While connected to computer in CWM recovery, install the drivers via PdaNet (these replace any original LG drivers)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1983470
2. Connect to phone via ADB while still connected in CWM recovery (see below ADB download if you didn't already have it or forgot where it was)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2317790
3. While connected via ADB you can use the same method as in the below thread (use the first one).

Tried it, it turns off, then the notification light at the top of the phone (beside the front camera) blinks 8 times if i constantly hold the volume up and power button, as soon as i release power button and volume up, the phone boots with the LG logo and then goes into TWRP.

What he meant was, hold the Volume Up button & connect the phone to your PC. Don't have to hold power button at all. Try this mate.

When the notification LED starts to blink, let go of both buttons for a split second and hold them back again. Make sure USB is connected. Since you have TWRP working, Download should also be available.

The problem is that you have to have the phone off to even attempt to get in to download mode.

If i try to power off the phone WITH the usb cable connected to it, it just reboots automatically, so i cannot power off the phone without it rebooting all by itself, and then going into TWRP.
I tried to hold volume up and power while my phone was in TWRP and it rebooted, LG logo came up and then the red notification light started blinking, then i tried to do what you told me to, quickly release volume up and power button, while the LED was blinking, but nothing happened, other than the phone just rebooting, and then the LED started blinking red again, this just looped over and over again...
Turn it off, hold volume up and connect USB cable. Does it go to download mode?

I had the same problem, stuck on logo lg , when i tried to go to download mode, i got stuck in the first step of it (i can't see the step with firmware update etc...) and when i tried to make a factory hard reset, it goes on the recovery mod.
After seeing many forums since 3-4 days, i tried to flash the kitkat kernel, so i used the adb sideload ---> so connected on recovery mod, then make install from sideload, then on your command (on windows) type adb sideload thenameofthekernel /sdcard/ and normally the recovery should install himself the kernel and you can reboot your phone
I still have an issue, can't access on download mode but i can use the phone as before, so if anyone can help, i listen you ^^

Hold down the power button till the it turns off and keep it held down the LG logo will flash up again then go off after that release it and wait a few seconds making sure the phone does not boot up again. Then hold down the volume up button and with the usb connected to the computer plug the USB into the phone this should then put it into download mode.
Why don't you sideload a rom in twrp recovery via adb?

I am in the same boat as you. Dont' know what to do.
When I try to boot into download mode - I see the initial screen but computer doesn't detect anything
Hey Guys... I've been searching XDA and the internet for a couple hours now on this, and am finally posting. I just got a new LG G2 on AT&T. I rooted with Towelroot, and rushed to change the DPI in Build.Prop without installing TWRP first, which was quite stupid... I changed it from 480 to 400 which has worked for me in the past on a previous G2 (on Verizon)...I don't have USB debugging enabled either.
In any case, when the phone boots up, it shows the AT&T logo, and then an error "Unfortunately the process com.android.systemui has stopped". I can hit OK...then I get a screen with just the wallpaper and an error "Unfortunately Home has stopped", and I can't hit anything.. it doesn't respond.
I installed the phone drivers from LG's site... I can't seem to connect via ADB or Fastboot (although I less familiar with Fastboot)... If I enter recovery by holding down power and volume down, it asks if I want to reset the phone, but doing so just gives me an error "error: boot certification verify" and reboots...
Is there any way I can connect via adb, fastboot, or some method to modify the build.prop file?
Thank you!!
@rockon83 I dont think there is a way to enter fastboot mode like that without a modded bootloader and adb also not.
You can try to get into download mode and flash stock kdz/tot again and then normal flash to keep your app data.
Thanks wulsic... If I press and hold the volume up and then plug in the usb cable, it just shows the charging battery symbol... I can't seem to get into download mode....
Am I screwed?
If You're just rooted can't you simply enter stock recovery and factory reset? Turn off the phone, hold vol down + power button together, when LG logo appears release then just hold power button. That should get you into stock recovery where you can factory reset.

Same situation happened to me except for the not being to get into download mode part. Only way I was able to resolve it was to flash back to stock via the tot method. I used this video How to Unbrick or Restore the LG G2 ATT Version: http://youtu.be/kqw_LFuyHbE
I think there is a thread on here on how to fix not being able to get into download mode. But I think it's for the D802.

You can do try a factory reset. Hold down the VOL - and power, when you see the LG logo, let go then press and hold the power again.
Hi, so I tried to flash the dorimanx kernel for the phone, and after rebooting, it stucked in fastboot mode. So I tried many ways to get away from this and now I'm in a really bad situation:

-I can't boot into fastboot now, when I power it on, I got the lg logo and I got stuck in it.
-When I try to plug the phone to the pc in download mode, my PC doesn't detect the phone
So as you can see I'm in a really bad situation so please I need some help and quickly!!

My friend don't worry i was in same situation once. It is recoverable.
Just tell me where are you stuck now?
Well if you keep pluging in in and pluging out your device from computer sometimes ports stop responding. reboot your PC and try to connect. and give your feedback.

As I said before, when I power normally the phone (only pressing the power button) , it gets stucked on the LG Logo, with the LED changing of colors. When I try to launch the recovery mode (volume down+power, then pressing power 3 times in the menu) I get a black screen..
Hmm

Honestly there are very slim chances that the phone completely goes dead very slim. give your pc a reboot then try to put your phone in fastboot/recovery mode. keep an eye on device manager.
hope this helps.

As i mentioned before. to enter download mode you need to switch off phone. wait for few seconds. then press and hold volume up button (only volume up button no need for power button) and then plug the usb.
Wait for few seconds and when you seen download mode on mobile screen let go the volume up button.
From download mode you can flash anything with lg flashtool.
if you can see the download mode then you r safe dont worry it will be fine. trust me.
hope this helps

Well have you changed the port? I assume you have done all just asking to confirm ?
Go to Ports (COM & LPT). You should see LGE AndroidNet etc... Right click it and go to Properties > Port Settings > Advanced > Change COM Port Number to COM41 > OK > OK > Close Device Manager????
I am not sure if download mode is not helping fastboot would do any either. i guess. maybe i am wrong i am not expert.

Rooted G2, tried to install TWRP custom recovery, the phone bricked.
- The phone is still on, but with a black screen.
- Windows recognizes something is plugged in and tries to format 16 partitions.
- The phone will not turn off. Everythign I could find (VolDown + pwr, VolUp + pwr, all 3 buttons, and just holding the power button) make the phone reboot over and over again. I can't see the screen power cycle, and I don't get any LG boot logo, but the phone keeps vibrating to let me know that it's power cycling every 5 - 6 seconds.
- I can't get into download mode, recovery mode, or even get the phone to show anything other than a black screen.
- LG flash tool throws errors when the phone is plugged in.
Any ideas on how I would get back to download mode?

Hi guys
I used uppercut/lgup with my F800L Korean version V20
I was able to put the phone in download mode and connect to the computer and flash the proper .KZD file. It fully flashes and completes without error HOWEVER after disconnecting the usb cable as the phone reboots, for a split second a large whitish circle pops up in the loading screen and says "erasing" below the circle. The phone does not continue on booting, just stuck at the starting logo.
Anyone know how to solve this? Thanks a lot in advance!!!
