Well for some reason I'm not getting any notifications from Gmail on my lock screen I already added my gmail account and synced it so I'm not sure what to do now.
I keep my phone on powersave mode and have sync enabled in the drop down menu if that matters?
My S6 would sync, notify me right away when I would receive a email?

Wow, did power save mode on lollipop do the same also?

When I get a email, usually I get a notification on my lockscreen, been that way for me since lollipop S6

Did you notice that, when the Alway On display is active, you can see your Gmail notifications by swipping an edge down and up ?
I didn't read anything about this anywhere...
Got nothing to do with the always on display, it's the edge feed feature which also works without always on.

You seem to be right. Was it explained somewhere that you could access it with a double swipe ?
EDIT : Just found out it was documented in the edge feeds menu, BUT I had to swipe to right in order to see the howto...

For some reason, after rooting my S5, I am not recieving push notifications for any apps. I though it was a problem with just Mymail, but it looks like it isnt.
The box for 'Show notifications' is ticked in settings.

No that is not the problem. Push notifications do not work for any app, after I rooted the phone.
Are there any specific services which need to be running?
I have attached screenshots of what one app said, "Register for Push Notications' has a cross.
I have tried changing the heartbeat with an app from play store, but it has not helped either....
Let's help YOTAPHONE to improve the user experiment. I have couple of suggestions.

When we dial a number without keep the phone to ear as you can see the screen it would be good if the phone gets vibrate when the person answer the phone otherwise we have to keep looking at the phone. HTC phone has this feature.

email notification on AOD
email notification on AOD (6.0.1) show only on Gmail app and only Gmail account. I want use other email client and connect to email notification (not event notification)
Is there a way to add the stock email app to unmonitored apps in the battery settings? It is not showing any of the pre-installed apps. I find the optimization to aggressive and I miss notifications of my work emails when the phone is idle. Most apps are knocked out when the phone is idle which is good for battery life but bad if you are on call and need the emails as soon as they arrive. I have nougat on my phone.

I found where to do this and it is working OK now, I receive the emails as they come.

Go into facebook app settings and activate whatever you want to show up in the status bar, which will automatically relay to AOD

thanks but the likes aren't show as push notifications, so i need a app (native or not) notifier for what in display is shown
