Hello,
since few days i have some problem with my battery. At this moment my battery is discharging so fast, fater then before. So I can use phone with daily using (eg. using mobile data, browsing internet, texting) now in about 7h, instead more than 10 before. Is there any solutions to improve battery life? Taking additionaly powerbank everywhere is a bit uncomfortable.
What phone? Wich rom do you have installed?
ALE-L21 but on stock, B170
I didn't do anything, but i see the difference.
Have you tried wiping cache?
Ok, thanks for an advice. It seems to work.
Hello guys,
I have the same problem since Tuesday. My battery usually lasts for 2 days, but now drops down with 40+ percent for 5 hours. I did a factory reset and there was no effect.
Ps. I am using Ale-L21 with B190 firmware
Have you wiped cache? And do you charge with original charger?
I charge only with the original charger. Yesterday I did a factory reset.

will that help with the full charged at 95 problem?
...
If you mean wiping the stats under battery usage, then no. They get reset at each charge. I don't know of a solution to the apparently incomplete charging. Sometimes mine gets up to 96, other times to 100...who knows?

I have that problem too. Another problem ive been having lately is when i reboot my phone, the battery comes back at abour 40% lower. Its happened a few times where i reboot and have plenty of battery, and when it comes back its at 5%. After a few more reboots it will be back to where it should be.
So on a rooted phone in clockwork recovery, what does the 'reset battery statistics' option do?
Sent from my Epic using XDA app.
hello guys,
i have stock froyo since its released everything was working fine..since last few weeks when i charge my phone battery charging is stuck near 70 or 80 %, it never reaches 100% .. if i restart the phone it shows charging full.
i put my battery in friends phone it was showing normal charge in it..and his battery in my cell it was again same story..
so i guess its not battery issue

I had a similar problem with my ol prophet.
I let the phone deplete its battery and charge over and over again (4 times as I can remember) and it's solved.
But I don't think it's the same. People were doing something to raise battery life and health, I can't remember. Or a simple factory reset (or a wipe) could solve. Possibilities.
same with my wildfire tried 2 or 3 roms but stil not able to slove my problem it stuck around 70 to 90 % please help me out buddy ..
Try wiping battery stats using ClockWorkMod recovery (I believe AmonRa has this function as well).
thanks guys for replying
i have stock 2.2 froyo.. i guess i have to try factory reset.. but will try that draining and charging thing first ..
any other solutions
factory reset also did not work.. any other solution guys ??
Hey guys, i have a problem concerning the battery life of my HTC Hero with FroydVillain 1.7.3 (Android v2.2.1)
In the last couple of days my battery goes down by 10-12% per hour without even touching the phone. I tried factory reset, wiped sd card and reflashed, flashed CM7 but still the battery issue didn't go away.
I charge it 100% before i go to bed at 11.30 and when i wake up at 7 the phone is completely powered off..
The thing that consumes my battery is the process "Android OS". I read about it on the internet, but all threads were SGS2..
The strange thing is that it's CPU usage time according to the battery stats is 1h 21m after 3 hours of sleep.. Is this normal??
I have everything turned off - wifi, gps, mobile data, auto sync, background sync and still the drain continues.
Has anyone had this kind of issues and possibly a solution?
Or should i buy a new battery?

I have also been experiencing battery issues with Froyd lately, but not to the same degree as you are. My solution was to wipe and install another 2.2.1 based ROM. This new ROM is acting normally in terms of battery life.
With Froyd, my battery was acting "weird" in terms of overall battery life. Once I got about 3 good discharge / charge cycles in a row things seemed to improve.
Another thing to consider is did you recently install any new apps? Some apps don't play nice and cause the phone to not enter sleep state OR cause excess CPU usage.
Some people might say "wipe battery stats" but some Google Engineer / Developer has recently dispelled that myth... https://plus.google.com/u/0/105051985738280261832/posts/FV3LVtdVxPT
Good luck!
It's not from any app. Last night i wiped my sd card, wiped everything from recovery and flashed Froyd. I used it all day without installing anything besided battery graph to monitor my battery usage. it's something from the OS itself i guess..
The funny thing is that it seems that in the past two hours the drain has disappeared and now the battery is reducing by ~1% per hour and i haven't done anything during that time, except 2 calls under a minute each and 1 sms.
How old is ur battery? Did you consider that it might be physically related? Not because of the processes or so?
One more thing I noticed - if I charge by ac outlet, it charges faster, and lasts longer, if I charge by computer usb port, it charges really slowly and battery drains way faster... I don't know about battery life, maybe from ac outlet it dies faster, but 2 years of using it and still 1.5 day of normal use...
Thanks for the replies guys! I found the problem, it was my radio.
I flashed the latest radio and now my hero's battery life is better than before!

Looks like you have a battery problem. OS does not really kill batteries, you can see more or less the same performance if there are no background apps eating your power.
Check these batteries for your Hero. These are top quality and many users vouch for them.
HTC Hero Mugen Power batteries
@saj222 i'm now running the same radio as the one in your signature. before that i was with 09.05 or sth like that..
@porcupineli my hero is second hand with about a year of usage before me. i have it for about 2 months now. Since the phone costed me $90 i don't think i can pay $70 for a battery.. I was thinking of buying this one
ebay (dot) com/itm/2600mAh-Extended-Battery-cover-HTC-Hero-G3-White-GSM-/250892692348?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3a6a5eab7c#ht_1230wt_1139
Is it any good?
Hi, i bought tattoo from another user... to encounter a problem with battery, when i charge it-it never goes 100%, but charges to for an example 33%... then it instantly drops to 16-17% until it reaches to 1% (fast dropes)...but it stays like that for one or two days (like it has been charged to 100%). I did a factory reset-it dind't work (offical rom, not rooted). I first tought it was a rom problem it self... then i rooted my phone and flashed cm7 (wiped all 3 times)... and the problem still presists. I dont know what to do... i tried to put my batt. to another tattoo, and it works fine...also tried another charger, doesnt help... i dont know what to do. Please help....
Thanks.

Looks like a battery calibration problem, fully charge your battery, go to clockworkmod (if you use it, i dont know does this option exist in amon-ra), then go to advanced, wipe battery stats, after that do a full drain and then a full charge again
Yeah, I'm having the exact same problem.
I read that the problem would go away if you buy new battery for your phone. I, myself, tried re-calibrating battery but had no luck. With re-calibrated battery it looks like that battery is in a bit better shape than it was previously.
i had the same problem and i bought another battery and the problem wasn't yet solved .. but i think it got fixed by it self.
Try doing Wipe Battery state couple more times..
Try another battery to see how changes

Hi, I've the same problem, tried with factory reset, cm7, wipe battery stats, wipe dalvik cache, and no changes at all. The battery never charges to 100%, and it drops to 1% very fast. When I put that battery to another HTC Tattoo, it shows that the battery is fully charged.
Do you fixed this issue?
hello everyone,
my nexus 4 notified me of the 5.5.1 update and took it but i noticed after the update my battery seems to be draining faster than before. if i have a full battery and leave it unplugged all night it will be completely dead the next day. is anyone else experiencing this? i am about to factory reset to see id it clears up the issue. if that doesn't work would i be able to go back to 5.1 without rooting?
thanks

I had the exact same issue; yes, you're going to have to do a factory reset, that's what fixed it for me. It's generally a good idea after an upgrade of any kind, even a small one like this, to do a factory reset to avoid any potential issues.
I have a problem with charging, my device charging 5 hours!!! from 1% to 100% on charger from HTC One M8(1,5A) I installed stock factory image 5.1.1 used flash-all.bat but problem stayed ... Please help me, i don't know what my phone doing -,-

It takes a couple hours to charge in general. If it wasn't doing that before, try a different charger, to see if that fixes the problem.
yea i have tried many cables and some just charge the phone slower than others. i find really short cables will charge the phone quicker too. anyway it seems a factory reset cleared up my battery issues so thank you for the help
