GT-I9505 XXUAMDF Root - USB DEBUGGING Enabled

Not to sure it i should start a thread but here goes.
I got my GT-I9505 XXUAMDF - UK on the 27th April
Up to now i have managed to Root the device using the CF-ROOT download - do a search for the following filename CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505.zip
Once rooted I was shooked to find that i could not locate USB DEBUGGING on the device, After hunting around I came accross a post and gave it a shot it worked
To get USB DEBUGGING enabled on Android 4.2.2 on the GT-I9505 do the following
1. Goto SETTINGS
2. Click ABOUT DEVICE
3. Trap 7 Times on the BUILD NUMBER.
Once done you should get a message stating "You Are Now A Developer"
Once you have seen the message you can then go back to settings and you should have the option "Developer Options", now you can enable USB Debugging.
Now you can install your APK files like Titanium Backup
Hope I have not stepped on anyones toes, and hope this help people out.

The Developer Options are hidden on Jelly Bean 4.2. Google decided to do this for some reason.

You don't need to root the phone to do so. The developer options is hidden in 4.2.2 version so the novice user won't harm his phone.

Of course you asked for it as you own a Samsung phone! You wouldn't go and buy a Ferrari and remove the badges because you didn't want a Ferrari would you...... How silly.

Facing troulbe in connecting my SAMSUNG GALAXY S4 GT- I9500

SO HERE IT GOES...
I HAVE A THREE MONTH OLD SAMMY'S GS4 ND I USUALLY KEEP IT UPDATED....
THE latest kernel is 3.4.5-1011208 TUE JUL 2.
LAST WEEK AGO IT WAS WORKING LIKE A CHARM BUT SINCE THEN I HAVE NOTICED AN UNUSUAL PROBLEM. THAT IS IT DOES'NT SHOW UP IN MY PC WHENEVER I TRY TO CONNECT IT THROUGH USB (MEDIA DEVICE OPT) ND IT ALSO DOES'NT SHOW UP ITS ICON IN THE
MY COMPUTER ZONE... I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING FROM REINSTALLING THE DEVICE'S USB DRIVERS ND GETTING IT COMPLETELY REFRESHED..
BUT I HAVE FAILED... THE ONLY THING THAT WORKS IS ALTERING THE DEVICE'S SETTINGS IN DEVICE MANAGER. BUT THAT WORKS ONLY ONE TIME. I HAD TO RECONNECT THE DEVICE AND DO THESE SAME STEPS TO GET IT WORK AGAIN

Do you have USB debugging enabled? You are also in the wrong thread if you have the I9500 this is a Sprint S4 thread.

Along with checking your USB debugging setting, you may want to consider uninstalling/reinstalling drivers.
and your specific device over here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2164 maybe someone else has had the same issue...

Not sure, but they certainly have the CAPS lock enabled... :crying:

I would do the same to make sure USB debugging is enabled. If non of this works I would unroot the phone and take it to sprint .

Hallo, this is my first post in such amazing forum. I have a Samsung galaxy s4 gt-i9500 with the below specification
android 4.3

build number : jss15j.i9500xxuemj5
USB port is not working when connecting to pc but it charging well . Which made it a special case.
All what I want to achieve is rooting my device then upgrade it or use a custom rom. Since usb port is not working, it gave me hard time.
what I have did :
1 trying to fix usb port I have used every method ( changing usb cable original one , *#0808# mpt , Samsung drivers , kies 3 , USB Debugging Mode is enabled.)
2 – trying to root without pc tried (TowelRoot keep getting “Phone Isn't Supported" changing code and older version not solving my problem . Besides TowelRoot, I used some chines
apps but not getting anywhere.
so please help me root my device

yes I am consider that as last solution , but before that I will try to install new rom perhaps the 4.3 causing the problem

It's 100% rom unrelated. It's your usb port that is malfuntioning. Try to clean it.
Your pc doesn't detect anything when you connect your phone in download mode?

I have stock note 3 with broken lcd but without usb debuging on. How to backup contacts and gallery? Device had no samsung account. Please help.

No, I have pattern lock on the phone.

Been looking around but (sm-g530t1)

So I been looking around and I'm not new to rooting and flashing but it seems like this model doesn't have root recovery or any roms though I did hear you can flash Tmo roms but you will be locked to Tmo and have a couple issues which I can't risk
tldr; I'm having trouble finding resources related to flashing and rooting the sm-g530t1 please refer me to some information so I don't brick my phone

Go to the developer settings and turn on the oem unlocking and usb debugging to avoid the frp from being tripped. In case you don't know how to get to dev settings go to about device under settings and click on the build # 7 times to unlock developer settings

Thanks got successful root now we just need recovery and roms can't wait I hope we see at least some development
