Zenfone laser has a max shutter speed of 32 seconds, and zenfone 2 doesn't. As you may know, zen2's (ZE551ML) camera has min/max shutter speed at 1/2s and 1/500s in manual mode.
I edited the camera_profiles.xml file in root folder system/etc and the result is you can set the min shutter speed from 1/2s to 1s, and the max shutter speed from 1/500sto 1/2500s.
Could you, laser owners, post your buil.prop and camera_profiles.xml here so I can try to enable this on the other model?

I have ZE500KL (13Mpx front camera version) and that file doesn't exist.
I think that's because of very different hardware, Intel and Qualcomm chipsets.
I've got a backup handy. I'll restore it and comb through it. If I can't get to it tonight, then I should be able to find some time tomorrow to get it done.

Currently my ZE500KL stock camera app with manual control can only control certain range of camera settings, currently the range is:
iso: 50-800
shutter speed: 32s-1/1000s
it is possible to widen the range of ISO and shutter speed in camera app? lets say iso 3200, shutter speed of 1/2000s. because in auto mode, iso 3200 is possible and shutter speed faster than 1/1000s is also possible (from the exif data of image i've taken), of course the system automatically set it, but it would be nice if we have access to change it manually up to iso 3200 and faster shutter speed, because 1/1000s even with iso 50 is quite bright under the sunlight. i am a fan of manual mode, so if there is any way to mod the camera, please share with us :highfive: i believe im not the only one who need a wider manual control of the camera :victory:
i have tried several camera app with manual control such as Manual Camera but it is not compatible, so im sticking with stock camera.
Hey, in this guide is a instruction to unlock some hidden camerafeatures on redmi devices :
Unlock Camera Features i want to try it for our redmi pro omega and figured out, that the xml has moved from internal miuisystem.apk file, to #/system/etc/device_features/omega.xml . Now, if i change some things, like in the introduction from the link, the camera shows the features. Some of them working, like tiltshift and other mods, but the important ones (for me) like exposure, manual focus and live hdr, does not . The features are shown and can be activated, but the camera took a normal photo. Now, i hope someone can help me with this. I bought the phone, because of the camera and thought it has included this settings, because the special thing on this phone is the camera. The important features for me are workig livehdr and exposure settings.
Try one more thing, add this lines at the end of build.prop:

persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1
If still not work with stock camera app, try it with another app like Snapcamera HDR.

Nope. I've tested Manual Camera Compatibility on Lollipop and on Marshamallow beta and it's not compatible with advance modes.

I hate the samsung camera! After sayd this, I'd like to get some custom values to set a greater shutter speed.
The possibility is limited to a 10 seconds of shutter speed and I wish to have a list like 2,4,6,8,10,20,30.
I saw that also installing on s8 others camera app, it's possible to set the shutter speed to max 10'' or less.
I could give up to many short exposure values to have more long values.
I tried to disassembler the apk camera but I was not able to understood what modified is needed.
Now:
1. First of all I wish to know if it's possible to make this modifies (I guess yes, otherwise how "zero mod camera" do it?!)
2. In second place, this change has to be makes in the apk or in some file system?
3. Any advice about how to do that?

I just Max pro M2 has manual shutter speed controls. Can anyone upload the apk link for M2's camera or tell me how to get manual shutter speed control without root? I've tried using several manual camera apps, but none allow to alter shutter speed.
