[REQ] Volume wake up - Desire 816 General

Hi All, if there's any mod that can wake up HTC Desire 816 using volume up down button please let know. I have tried many play store apps but they don't work as intended. Thank you!

Hard button only solution for this device, i think so!

It worked on Sense toolbox. Since it doesn't have support for Marshmallow..., need another option.
A xposed module may be..

First, unlocked bootloader then flashed twrp. After that, installed SuperSu.

I've used Gravity Screen app for years and it's worked fine for me over multiple devices. Have you tried that one yet?

Tried it and don't like when display turns on automatically when I'm carrying it..

It's got sensitivity settings in app that need to be adjusted and has an option to click for extra in pocket turn on protection which I never even needed until I started wearing mid leg pocketed pants but my humble opinion is you weren't setting it up correctly in app because at first I wasn't but I respect the fact you used it and didn't like it. I just don't have those issues you mentioned. Oh well just a thought. Good luck.

Volume2Wake is possible on MM! Use Xposed module "Physical Button Music Control" (you need latest alpha version)

Thanks but didn't work for me.
If you're using it - is it reliable, working even after phone's on deep sleep? If so, can you share me the combinations?

This time for real! I've implemented volume to wake as part of this Xposed module: https://github.com/OronDF343/SenseMods
That part of the code is actually AOSP-compatible.

Doesn't really work well for me mate
It works well in the few mins after restarting the phone & when trying later it does not. Sometimes works when press vol (-) about 15 times.

I found that issue too, and I think I fixed it: https://github.com/OronDF343/SenseMods/releases/tag/v0.1-alpha2 it requires root and might need universal init.d

Rooted? Now what

Just want some feedback as to what other people were doing with their recently rooted incredible?
I removed cityid and installed wifi tethering which was the main reason I wanted root in the first place. I downloaded htc news widget API but I don't know how to install it.
I'm looking forward to seeing a flashlight app that utilizes the dual LEDs.

Try this one. Still a little buggy, but it works and the dev is still working with it to enhance it.

i saw it mentioned in another thread so i checked it out, Lamppu is a free flashlight app and it works great so far.
Only thing wrong with lamppu is that camera/camcorder doesn't work till after a reboot.
both work fine for me after using lamppu, no reboots needed

Double tap wake does not work with auto screen app listed above? Only pick up phone function works to wake the phone? Which is kind of useless when using fingerprint scanner

Oh, I thought it's happening on original s6ep roms lol. They arent even int based roms/kernels which come with spesific issues like in-call echo etc(personally tested). Anyway; they are still working on it, hopefully gets fixed.

For C432 it might be on B180, I'm on B173 and it's not working here.
Edit: I'm actually on B176 xD
Doesn't work!! Don't waste your time to root just for this until OP shows how to get this DT2W to work.
I have the exact same model and build as OP and I rooted my phone for this because I really want the DT2W. I even tried to toggle the "Double Tap" to off, reboot and toggle it back on, reboot - Still no dice. Like others, with the "Double Tap" toggled on, I can get the DT2S (sleep) to work BUT NOT the DT2W (wake)

What in the world??!! I don't understand this... I see that it is working and very excited. However, I don't understand why it is not working for me as I am using the exact same model/build as you. I triple checked my edits/settings too.
Does the root method used matter? I used SuperSU (instead of SuperRoot)
