How to set a specific CSC from a MultiCSC firmware. - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

I have a S7 Edge from UAE that I have flashed with UK Vodafone firmware. Now since all Vodafone firmware is MultiCSC this has set the CSC as VD2 (Which is German Vodafone) when I want VOD (UK Vodafone). I have searched all over the internet for info into how to set a specifc CSC in MultiCSC firmware but cannot seem to find the answer. I have already tried the following suggestions:
1) Go to recovery immediately after flashing from ODIN
2) Use recovery to clear cache
3) Hard Reset in Recovery
4) Hard Reset from Settings menu
5) the *#272*IMEI# trick (this does not work on the S7)
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I want to have the correct CSC to use Wifi Calling and VoLTE. Thanks.

Using *#272*IMEI# worked for me on my Canadian S7 edge. It might be that after flashing this feature doesn't work anymore - it happened on my Note 5, worked initially, but after tripping Knox it wouldn't work (even on stock).

The thing is that flashing the firmware using ODIN shouldn't and hasn't tripped KNOX its still 0x0
There must be some way of setting the CSC from a multiCSC firmware, how else do the operators set theirs.

Does the dual sim feature still work now that you've flashed a non dual sim firmware

There are two versions of S7 edge: Snapdragon powered and Exynos powered. On Exynos powered S7 edge, the code is not working.

Multicsc does not mean dual sim

someone post this instruction from the csc changer utility thread, I followed it and manage to change THL(Thailand multi csc fw) to XCT (unbranded Philippines fw) but I think it's just feels "artificial" to me even though I've got my country specific changes and when using Phone Info app it says XCT but when I try to use Smart Switch on PC it says my CSC is still PHN which I downloaded from the official firmware thread. :/
here's the link:

Thanks, but I don't want to root my phone.

Changing Csc on S5 without root

Hi, I have a T-Mobile polish S5 and I want to change my csc (tpl) in italian (itv)...
The Note 3 procedure (flash the firmware, wipe the device then insert SIM and it changes to my region) works? If not, are there new (and if possible easier) ways without rooting device?
Thanks

Flash the Italian ITV rom with Odin 3.09, do a data factory reset, setup the phone and then go to recovery and reboot. Sometimes after that you have to reflash the Italian rom again with Odin to make the CSC file stick. Thats how i flashed the DBT rom on my Dutch T-Mobile rom and my device is now recognised as a DBT device by Kies.

Ok.. so, after the first reboot, I will test csc with *#1234# code.. if not changed, I have to flash ITV rom again
And, after csc change, I won't able to update through OTA bu only via Odin.. right?
What about Knox counter?

You should be getting the ITV OTA`s or from Kies if the device is recognised as a ITV device by Kies. If not reboot into recovery and wipe the cache and reboot or reflash the ITV rom with Odin without a wipe.

I have bought unlocked Galaxy Note 4 from 3 UK. It has own stock firmware with terrible 3 start screen. I have found your threat and then followed the instructions here to reflash stock BTU rom. And now my new Galaxy Note 4 is stock BTU with nice Samsung boot animations. And Samsung Kies recognise it as well. Thanks for info and instructions.

And Knox is not trigged of course. Cool!
Has anyone tried doing a repair from Kies using a VPN connection with a VPN server in the desired CSC country?
Would that automatically change the CSC? This sounds reasonable because when repairing a bricked phone, the CSC info on the file-system should normally not be trusted (it might not even be there), so how else would Kies know which CSC to use if not from the user's IP address?
I've been able to change the firmware location customization on my Sony Ericsson Arc S and the Sony PC Companion software using the above method, so I was wondering whether the same would be true with Samsung Kies.
this also work's

Hello. Thanks for your kind help. I have a question about flashing part of your procedure through odin .
Which options should I tick in order to be change the csc?
Do in need to use PIT file and repartition?
Or is it necessary to update the bootloader?
By the way my phone is SM-N910C and i am planning to flash 5.0.1 boc3 rom of poland. And i want to change my CSC meanwhile.

Find a firmware without a multi CSC I believe XSA and UK carrier firmwares all are like this.. Check the repartition box. Flash and don't use the Home CSC. Let the phone boot and then flash your multi CSC firmware. That is how I have gotten around it my S7 edge when I was trying to make Samsung Pay work.

Hey thanks for the quick reply. So just confirming before I start, you reckon below are the steps I should take?
1) Flash with a non multi-csc firmware, such as the Australian XSA (check the repartition box, and don't use HOME_CSC)
2) Reboot, then flash again with a multi-csc firmware, such as the Netherland PHN firmware.
And, when flashing do I pick all 4 files in Odin (BL, CP, AP, CSC)?
Thanks for your help.

If you want Samsung Pay works in the USA also then just flash XSA with all the files and don't use home csc and your done.
The only time I had issues is when you want to switch from a multi csc to another multi csc. Example German csc to UK csc because they use the same firmware. That is when I flashed a fixed csc then flashed a multi csc. So I could get the specific csc to work on my phone. Supposedly you can do it differently through the dialer I think. It never worked for me.
I have my s8 and my gf's s7 edge both on XSA because Samsung pay and white pages both work. Only downside is you get updates a month later then BTU.
I hope that makes sense if not pm me.
Thank you. It works as you said.

I have a Lyca sim card but I can't change my CSC, where did you get the BTU CSC from?
same issue here...
cant change csc code to BTU
also here, with itv csc.. not change
you can change csc trough odin, just download the btu version with samfirm tool
I have OXM multi csc. So it changes when I insert specific sim card. Will it change to UK after inserting Lyca sim?

Thanks. This is what I wanted to know
I used samfirm to download BTU firmware, flashed it (4 files) with Odin with Leyca sim configured to UK but my csc is still XEO, not BTU
after 2 days of struggle i did it without root
first, you need a UK sim or lycamobile sim.
0. remove any sim from phone
1. flashed BTU firmware
2. flashed Combination firmware COMBINATION_FA70_G955FXXU1AQE3 with HOME_CSC from BTU firmware
3. After boot, entered in factory Imei and input *#243203855#, choose BTU, wait for changes to be done
4. reflashed BTU firmware and insert your uk sim
4.5 if you have a lyca sim, go into simtoolkit and change region to uk
5. install samsung members app and log-in with you samsung account and you should see in notice Beta enrollment
i'm here if you have more questions

yes you can , i have been flashing firmware of different country to my s7 edge duos .
you just need to be sure chipset and model number are same.
Between you can flash s7 edge single sim firmware to dual sim.
P.S. can you upload the btu oreo firmware to google drive and share. Sammobile server is slow here.

it´s because of Mulit-CSC.. when you don´t wipe and factory reset, you stay on your CSC.. so ITV.. when you want BTU ota´s, you need to wipe your S7 complete including factory reset

Since BTU and ITV are in same OXA CSC file you must first flash a non OXA firmware like NEE , EUR, DBT and then reflash the BTU firmware.
OXA is multi csc file. ALL in same group wont change from ITV.

SM-G935F: Flashing different region ROM

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: SM-G935F
Hello everyone,
So the reason I'm asking for guidance and not straight up trying what I found is because this is my only phone and I cannot risk or afford fixing it if things hit the fan like i'd do with a spare or an old phone.
In addition the region code attached to it, the code is carried by different carriers and countries in the Gulf Area, some of which received Android 8 and some haven't. However since my phone wasn't purchased from STA, saudi telecom, I don't believe it received the updates distributed to the country,. So currently my phone was bought from a distributor in Saudi Arabia, which usually carries codes from different gulf countries. That region apparently hasn't received updates since earlier this year.
I'd appreciate just simple guidance for this process to get it right.
However I do LIVE in the UK and I would like to flash my phone to a UK region, I'm unsure which code to use and what files I would need to place in Odin.
Phone info:
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: SM-G935F, Unlocked (They usually require you to use a local sim card for a 5 minute call after which it's fully unlocked)
CSC: G935F0JV1DQIL
AP: G935FXXU1DQJ8
CP:G935FXXU1DQIL
Would it be possible to flash to UK BTU as they receive more frequent updates?
I don't know if this has any bearing but I'm using a Three sim card at the moment.. However I have used around 8 different sim cards/companies in this phone since i purchased it.
I would appreciate any advice on what files to place into Odin if I want to keep my data. (Or if I have to completely wipe it?) or shall I switch to another up-to-date OJV country like Emirates (UAE)?
Also i'm not sure what home_csc file is.
hope to hear from you guys soon.

good day
I purchased my device SM G935FD from Oman with CSC XSG (part of multiple CSC OJV middle east and some African countries). Even though I received OTA, I always install the full firmware upon officially released.
I upgraded my device from Android 7.0 to 8.0 using UK BTU firmware, the availability of which came first.
In short I downloaded the firmware from Updato (Sam Mobile slow and lagging) for the BTU firmware. Just to be sure you have to download the correct and appropriate firmware and also the latest Odin (Odin3v3.13.1) which was upgraded by Samsung to be utilized for Android 8.0 and higher versions.

good day
I purchased my device SM G935FD from Oman with CSC XSG (part of multiple CSC OJV middle east and some African countries).

Also, be sure to activate your Developers options and enable USB debugging and unlock OEM. Using Home_CSC will retain your user data while using CSC only will factory reset your device and start anew.

About Knox tripping?
Hello, I'm expecting to do something like this to my phone, but I'm wondering, will it trip Knox? Because you're changing the ROM, so I don't know
