Removing status bar icons. (System ui tuner) - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Is there any way in touchwiz to enable ystem ui tuner just like developmet. In my nexus 6p i was able to hold setting icon for 10 second and it would enable access to system ui to be able to remove most status bar icon. If not. What choices do i have since S7 theres no root yet. Thank u

That would be nice, getting tired of that nfc icon.

Wait for root

[Q] Navigation Bar and Lockscreen

I want to hide Navigation Bar and status bar not to make them transparent, i have tried widgetlocker but it just hides nav bar buttons and not the bar.
Tried PA3.01 expand mode but its kinda buggy or not working well when i choose to go to home screen it opens it twice and doing some lag too. flashed different roms but no rom had a feature to disable nav bar only on lockscreen, aokp had this feature but it was buggy as well so they removed it instead of fixing.
Need help, thanks.
I'm running PA3.1 and its running just fine, no problems at all. Give it another go! And to hide the nav bar, just set the size to 0% in Hybrid Settings.

Gravity box for xposed framework has a section to tweak the navbar. It also has an expanded desktop feature which can hide the status bar/navbar and use pie control.

[Q] Batt% Available on Home Screen?

Instead of the picture of the battery, can we have a percentage? Thanks.
You can either install an app like power toggles that will add percentage to your left side notification area:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.painless.pc
If you want to actually replace the battery icon you will need to root your phone and install xposed framework and gravity box. It has a bunch of different options for the battery icon.

I thought in 4.3 or 4.4 it was a standard option?
Some ROMS like touch wiz on Samsung's come with that feature preloaded
This little apk works great for my MotoX without root.

Android Lollipop App Based Notification in Lock Screen

Hi, I am not sure whether there is a solution to this question so far, but as far as I tried to google it, I cannot find a work around.
I have updated to Lollipop 5.0 recently and the notifications in lock screen are impressive. However, I have some persistent app such as Apex Launcher, Profile Scheduler+ that will always run in the background. Some apps have an option to hide lock screen notification but not many have this options (at least those app that i used do not have).
One of the most annoying situation is during my running at night, where I have:-
1. Location Set by GPS (System UI)
2. Notification Status by GPS Status
3. Notification Status by Runtastic
4. Internet Speed Meter Lite (This app has a function to hide itself in lock screen, but sometimes it doesn't work....)
5. Profile Scheduler+ (persistent app)
6. Plus some whatsapp notification...
where i only want to have 1, 3, 6 in the lock screen.....
Is there any "app based notification chooser" in the field? That you can select what app can display notification in the lock screen.
Thanks in advance.
I'm looking for a solution to same issue on my Moto G 1st Gen (Lollipop 5.1)

Hmm, I gotta try this My Android Tools app then, cause since moving to Lollipop this issue has made me crazy! However I mind how the clock and date font becomes small (tiny in fact) when there are other notifications in lock screen more than the number of notifications on LS. Even if those notifications had to be persistent there was absolutely no meaning for the clock and date fonts to go small!

Thanks for your help. It seems we need to wait android or Samsung to provide us this option. I will look into 3rd party lockscreen
You can block an app's notifications altogether in settings.
It would be fairly simple to make an app or script that would enable/disable that, on a timer or something.
To remove certain notifications from just the lock screen, though, would either require modding the desired apps individually, or some rather significant mods to SystemUI.

Secret System UI Tuner on 6.0

not sure if anyone has noticed on MM (6.0), but there is a secret menu when you long-press the gear icon (settings) from the status bar. this creates the System UI Tuner, which allows you to modify the status bar, quick settings, and add the battery percentage. pretty neat (about time too).
another tricked learned is to edit the build.prop to change the ro.build.type from "user" to "userdebug". this enables the multi-window feature. after making this adjustment, reboot, then look under developer options for multi-window mode.

Probably you are talking about this.

One question, have you tried this being Xposed and tweaked with Gravity Box?
I'm curious whether it may not create conflicts with Gravity Box tweaks...

Yes it's there. You can disable it also by pressing the gear icon again for seconds...
And it's a good feature if someone is not Xposed but having limited functionality.

I do have Xposed and GB, and I do edit the settings with GB. I did not edit them via the system tuner UI.
But the multi-window does work.

Material Notification Shade
Try the app above, it's simulating the Oreo notification center very well..
I like to use this app too... It's just perfect, really...
I'm using Substratum with the "Status Bar Icons for Samsung (+extras)" app.
There is an option to change quick settings style

In case you want to see how it looks
P.D: If you want the Oreo color style (black quick settings), just install a theme on Galaxy Apps called "Android O" from Lucas Kendi", if you don't do this, your quick settings will remain blue
