not sure if anyone has noticed on MM (6.0), but there is a secret menu when you long-press the gear icon (settings) from the status bar. this creates the System UI Tuner, which allows you to modify the status bar, quick settings, and add the battery percentage. pretty neat (about time too).
another tricked learned is to edit the build.prop to change the ro.build.type from "user" to "userdebug". this enables the multi-window feature. after making this adjustment, reboot, then look under developer options for multi-window mode.

Probably you are talking about this.

One question, have you tried this being Xposed and tweaked with Gravity Box?
I'm curious whether it may not create conflicts with Gravity Box tweaks...

Yes it's there. You can disable it also by pressing the gear icon again for seconds...
And it's a good feature if someone is not Xposed but having limited functionality.

I do have Xposed and GB, and I do edit the settings with GB. I did not edit them via the system tuner UI.
But the multi-window does work.

To anyone who rooted their phone yet, have you tried Wanam on your ROM, and how well has it worked?

I tried the Wanam xposed module and it gave me weird results.
The normal behavior of holding home to view recent apps, broke and changed to search instead, making me unable to open recent apps.
The multiwindow option in Wanam added all apps to the multiwindow list, but they weren't actually there. For example, when trying to place baconreader app in my multi window list, it was actually Samsung Apps. Really strange.
***********************
HOWEVER
the multi window xposed module works beautiful
Also, 4 way power options didn't work.
Really buggy if you ask me.

Thanks for the reply! Have you tried some of the customization options like notifcation background, transparent toggles, changing status bar color and icons?

At the moment I have auto-hide navbar setup using 2 Xposed modules.
The first is "LG Pie Support" this disabled the navbar and the navring (which nothing else I find disables the navring).
The second is Ultimate Dynamic Navbar to bring back the Navbar which is customisable and auto-hides.
Now what really annoys me about LG Pie Support, it makes applications not show the "3 dot menu" so I get around this by
adding settings to the back-button in long press but this is not ideal.
I was wondering what other people do to achieve the same results? and is there an all-in-one option?
Thanks
BTW: Im running Stock Kitkat, thinking about switching to CloudyFlex though
Gravity box and g2 tweaks will have truw pie

Hey All,
Anyone know what the stock lockscreen app(s) official names are? I'm looking to use Xposed App Settings to force fullscreen mode like I have every other screen, apps and homescreens, but don't know the lockscreen app names in the system apps.
Thanks!
On a similar note, I'm guessing that the Immersive mode forces fullscreen the same way that App Settings does, is there a simple click to activate Immersive mode on all screens and apps?
Thanks again!
The lockscreen isn't a independent app, it's part of the framework (framework-res.apk). You can use modules like Immerse Me or Gravity Box to selectively force expanded desktop in KitKat.

Thanks for the info. I had already tried the settings in GravityBox and tried ImmerseMe as well, neither worked particularly well... Could be due to another app I have, Smart Statusbar+. I'll try them again without the Smart Statusbar+ installed and see what happens.

Edit to the post above from me: Gravity Box works great and even immerses the lockscreen, I didn't realize that after enabling it within Gravity Box I then had to enable it through the power menu...
Con - Double enable? Seriously?
Pro - Ease of turning immersive mode on and off, which may be nice in the future...
Thanks again @ATTACK !
Hi, I am wondering if there is a way to keep the Multiwindow function on but hide the little tab that overlays on every screen. I know I can enable/disable miltiwindow in the notification toggles, but I would rather have it hidden and turned on. I have the Note 10.1 2014 and I much prefer the way they did that multiwindow where a swipe from the right opens it up and there is no tab overlay. Any apps/mods that will do this?
Also, is there a way to easily add all of my apps to the multiwindow list? I have MW apps manager but I still have to manually add each app to the list that is available, and I can not sort the apps by name which makes it a huge pain to find the app I want quickly. Thanks.

Hold down the back button to hide it, again to show it.
Search play store for multi window manager.

Basically the title. Is there a way how to enable this feature in EMUI 4.0?
Bump. Please, if it isn't possible, just say I can't .
If someone knew how to open, they would have responded. I'm still on lollipop but I think that if the default way of enabling is not working, it's removed or hidden for your own good (doesn't work or crashes the phone)

IMO most of the tuner options are available in EMUI, in different places. We can edit shortcuts, status bar drag behaviour, data transfer and battery numbers visibility etc.

Does that mean we have no secret system ui tuner menu?
Well can you help me removing google search icon(not a bar) from homescreen. there is no google search app installed (not even under system apps). i search and found out that system ui tuner could hide it + other stuff like battery percantage into battery tweat etc.
Update: I found the battery percantage tweak at Settings > notification panel & status bar. Still having that non used google icon which i dont like.

I see. I tried Nova Premium. Every time I try to personalize my phone with 3rd party apps, finally I go back to stock. EMUI doesn't like other apps but it is very good itself, if you like this style. If you don't like it, it's better to change the phone.

I am using Apex Launcher myself without any problem.
Make sure you have choose default launcher in Default apps settings.
Settings > apps > advanced > default apps > launcher and choose the one you are using
You can check my blog about it here. (delete*)h*ttps://3dbeach.wordpress.com/2017/01/07/removing-bloatware-on-android/
