Roms With Fi Support? - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I know alot of people here use Google Fi including myself, but what ROMs best support it?
So far the only ROM I can find that lists it as a feature is PureNexus is there any other?

PureNexus was just a joy to set up and use ..while using projectfi.I have also used screwd and had no issues.

How to Fix WIFI for CM 7

This is how I Fixed my WIFI on Cyanogen 7 mod.
It has worked for a few others, hope it works for you.
(Making this thread, cuz I keep seeing same Q on the CM6,7 thread).
1. Press Menu and go to settings
2. Wireless & Networks
3. Wi-Fi settings
4. Click Menu, advanced, Regulatory Domain
5. Change the channel from 11 to 13 (you can try others as well)
6. Try Connecting to Wifi again. It should work now with no problem
Note, this is only to the few having problems not connecting, or connecting but wifi not working etc.
Hope this helps.

Well, I hadn't tested it before changing channels, but I know it wasnt working with the previous CM7 nightlies...
After switching to 13 however, it does work now.
So thank you!
EDIT: Well, I thought it worked... It was just Google that worked apparently. D:

Yeah...
...this isn't really fixing the wifi issues that still plague the slide. Hopefully the new Froyo OTA that got sniped from T-Mo will be able to help. Changing your reg domain will just not do the trick.

Google.com (and the mobile variant) are cached by default in Android, which is probably why you thought it was working.

[Q] Custom ROM with 3g only feature

I'd like to use tasker to automatically switch between 2g only and 3g only, so I'm looking for a cm based ROM that could allow this.
Can anyone advice me Roms I can choose from?
Thank you!

Last time I checked roms do not have such a feature.
Come here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2121627&highlight=3g+only
I'm quite sure that feature is present in CM 10.1 as confirmed by the attached screenshot i found here on xda
but I'd like to know if there are other roms I can try besides CyanogenMod...

I was just going to suggest that some custom ROMs have customizable toggles that let you switch between 2G/3G etc. If you want to try other ROMs, take a look at the many listed in the Original Development or the Development threads and try the more customization-friendly ones From personal experience I know that CarbonROM, as well as XenonHD has such a toggle. I think Xylon might also have this, but I can't remember...

Can you confirm they also allow "3g only" and not just "2g/3g" auto mode?
Btw I just found the perfect solution here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=739530
It should work on any CyanogenMod based ROM, so I should be able to use it with almost any custom ROM :victory:
I will try it as soon as you can
THANK YOU XDA :good:

I can confirm 100% that on CarbonROM the 2G toggle is ONLY 2G mode. So when you turn 2G mode on, 3G is off. I use a HSPA+ provider so when I go 2G my service ends. I'd expect XenonHD to have the same thing, because I remember those toggle settings to be quite similar on both those ROMs. I'd expect Xylon to be the same thing too, but I haven't been on Xylon recently so i can't say for certain.

Paranoid Android for Pixel C

EDIT: Looks like the official builds are on their server now, and can be found here http://get.aospa.co/official/dragon.
Just wanted to give anyone who's interested a heads up. Looks like the pixel c will be officially supported by PA, they currently have a test build out.
https://plus.google.com/+YamilGhazi/posts/J96qSfq3RBB
After being unable to get GMD gesture control working on the N preview, I decided to give it a try. So far working great, no issues that i've come across so far. I used OpenGapps nano and supersu 2.7.4. If you do give it a try, you should probably post some feedback in that linked post for the dev.
Great !
Thanks for the info !
Mathieu
I'd totally flash this but unlocking the Pixel's Bootloader gives that boot delay doesn't it? it really annoys me lol

Short Q - why would be supersu needed with PA anyway? Isn't there root integrated in developer options already?

No, it comes unrooted. Also, as a precaution to make sure it doesn't accidently try to force encrypt the tablet, as I think a lot of their builds do.
Awesome, it took about 6 months, but it looks like the ROMs are finally rolling in!

I've had DU on here for a while, which is likely the best Android experience you'll have on Dragon outside of stock.

My biggest reason for not using N right now is GMD gesture controls doesn't work for it, and not sure I want a tablet without gesture control.
Well PA for our Pixel C is very close to stock now... I prefer DU since day 1 - ok, I wish I had some transparency settings like on Temasek but maybe my dreams get real For me not a big deal to switch from DU

[Experimental] Flashable firmware package with Oppo Find 7 modem

Since some time I know that the Oppo Find 7 modem is compatible with the OPO as the two devices share almost everything of the parts. I tried to make a Firmware package based on 241 from the OPO and replace the modem with the latest modem for the Find 7 (from v2.1.5i Color OS) and what can I say, I got much better reception in general. Less dropouts, stable LTE at work, where I only sometimes got unstable LTE with the 241 modem.
Feel free to try and report. I'm not responsible if anything breaks, although I can say my phone works without a problem.
Download: AFH
Contains:
- 241 base from Oneplus One
- NON-HLOS.bin from latest stable Color OS v2.1.5i (Oppo Find 7)

Modem shouldn't have anything to do with wifi. However I am also facing some wifi drops even with the stock OPO modem (Can't use any Sultan build because of wifi problems at home, standard Lineage works ok but also disconnects sometimes)

As compared to original 241 it doesn't have any benifit on other hand it ruined my LTE network no network at all, after scanning it gots for a seconds and goes away.
Reverted back and everything is fine. I am not blaming but sharing my original experience.
