new Nexus 6p update fixes 810 performance problems - OnePlus 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

According to https://plus.google.com/+FranciscoFranco1990/posts/dXBtugbiy2A (by the author of Franco's kernel)
Not only its performance has improved due to numerous changes in the framework + Kernel, it proves the so much criticised Snapdragon 810 runs beautifully and cold as **** when the software implementation is right. An un****able Android version without OEM/carrier **** or ridiculous UI **** ups, with proper tuning (Marshmallow really did up its game when setting up different tasks to sets of cpus as I explained earlier).

do you think these patches be ported to OPT ?

If so then Francisco is the guy to do it, his involvement seems to be quite official too as Adam Krisko (The community manager for OnePlus) seems to have been the one who supplied Francisco with a nice new OnePlus 2 and a OnePlus X :

Since the official Marshmallow version is out for the OnePlus 2 this month (quite possibly the X also), it could be coming with a kernel supplied by Francisco, most likely with the optimisation you mentioned. (It's more likely they will try to release the official Marshmallow with Franco also releasing his kernel around the same time).
Which, in my book, is ALL good. Our phone could finally be becoming the "Flagship killer" it was meant to be.

Official Google app with a screenshot of a Nexus S 4G, clearly labeled as 4G and running on Sprint, running Android v4.0! Although the date is 10/26/11 so I guess they've really been working on it for all of this time...
Yeah, and they still can't get it to work. That is just sad. You would think that they would have had the foresight to make sure ICS could work on their other Nexus devices instead of strictly designing it for the Galaxy Nexus. You know there is a problem when the programmer of the OS can not get it to work on devices that were designed to their own strict specifications. Think of what the OEM's have to go through to get this crap to work.

Of course they've been working on it. There were leaked shots before the Galaxy Nexus came out with a Nexus S running a version of ICS. It doesn't happen over night.
I know, but at least this time it's an official screenshot that wasn't leaked! I'm just really excited! Surely it'll come out before the end of March! I was hoping before March, but I installed the leaked build anyway, so I'm good for a while! ;p

There are two current ICS Sense Kernel for DHD, as what I know.
BeastMode
Virtuous
I had comparison with few benchmark tools.
wifi on, mobile off, auto-sync, gps ..etc are off.
max freq selected most near to 1.5GHz (1.498 or 1.517GHz). governor performance(always Max freq). none altered.
omittted first result. these are 2nd and 3rd. also scores could vary with configurations, apps, receptions etc. this is just n00b's comparison.
While benchmarking, No FC or error found except Linpack for Android.
(found Inaccurate Result in both 3 of them not always.. wish It had no advertisement while "Testing.." ad could poison this.)
Stability and Battery Life is not in my concern.
needed to save battery from wear is highly expected.. its 2yrs old now..

Beamed from my Nexus 5
That's disappointing. Although shouldn't CM13 be released independently to zui?

yes, i too saw that, but the same timeline release for the both newly launched (Zuk Z1) and 2014 released (one plus one)..?
whats disappointing there? You can always run CM13 before that, but it really takes time to get a more or less stable COS marshmallow out and a few months of development work is not much, as testing and debugging takes up a ****ton of time for them... The only important thing is that they keep Lollipop up2date too, including major bug and security fixes while they work on marshmallow. And so far they have done that, libstagefright etc was always fast patched by CM and COS team.
Imho i don´t get why always everyone needs the latest buggy android version on their device, all i want is a STABLE os as i need my phone for working daily!
Reading the interview of Steve Kondik the work to be done to move CM from 5.1 to 6 will much smaller that what was from 4.4 to 5.
So hopefully we'll see it much quicker......
lets hope for that

Improve Battery After Nougat Update

i have seen many comments in different threads about having poor battery life... i myself have faced this issue.. with my battery dropping like 5-7% while it's ideal to.. so many people suggested to full wipe my device but along with it i used a software BK DISABLER(SAMSUNG)...
i disabled all the apps along with samsung account(i checked shealth was still working after this but then i removed it seeing the number of services it had)
given in this link..
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/safe-to-debloat-s6-threads-t3090383
please check the second cmnt by @lizaSB..it's more detailed and apps are easy to find.. whenever you disable a bloatware be sure to check you have disabled the services given in it(using BK DISABLER.. obviously)
I don't know whether a seperate thread has been created for this or not... but after nougat update this really helped.. my batter falls like 0.6 or 0.7 % perhour when it's ideal...
I know many scripts are availabel for doing this but that requires root.. this app doesn't requires root privilege .
I feel battery for the S6/N5 family improved with Nougat, while the S7 line battery was negatively impacted. Moving to a spare S6 I had, as I had to send my S8 in to replace my screen, I'm getting quite decent numbers for a 2-year old phone that was used for most of that time by my mom (she changed phones recently).

AvA ROM - Android TV for Tinkerboard

Hello XDA Community,
I invested over a year on this project and spent many frustrating hours getting a tablet based OS to perform like a version made for TV's.
This is not a finished product, but I thought some of you may find it useful. I am not a developer and therefore cannot guarantee an issue free experience. I stepped away from the project due to getting stuck in many areas. If anyone with the skills, time and willingness to help help me polish this OS is up to the task...feel free to send me a PM.
Without further delay, I present AvA ROM (Android Video Appliance) for Tinkerboard:
Demo video: AvA ROM - Boot Demo (boot pop-up in video is fixed)
Download: AvA ROM RC1

Things to know:
Based on Android 7.1.2.
Play Store is preinstalled.
Works best with keyboard and mouse.
Plugging in wireless remotes causes severe slowdown (solution = Android TV Remote app).
Shutdown/sleep doesn't work well.
Should run on Tinkerboard S.
Not licensed for Netflix or Disney Plus (most other apps and games work).
Image is 2.46 GB in size (minimum 4GB SD card).
There are workarounds for the above licensing woes, solutions are just a Google search away.
I look forward to hearing some of you got to try it out.
