Is Xposed framework available for stock 5.0? - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm trying to find a download for Xposed framework for the Note 3 on stock 5.0

I was wondering the same thing. If I understand correctly, we have to be DEODEXED in order to run XPOSED Framework.

Yes and there's that too. With a locked bootloader we can't just install a deodexed ROM. I've seen methods of deodexing a running system but they are all version/device specific

Most AOSP roms work with Xposed. Xposed for TW is still unstable and buggy.

Either downgrade to 4.4.2 or switch to CM 12.1. On 12.1 you don't need that because it doesn't have DVFS
I'm not sure the Xposed mod for DVFS is even updated to lollipop.

Late to the lollipop party

Long time lurker... here goes my first post, be gentle!
I bought my s5 and rooted it a long time ago but I haven't kept up it up to date. I'm still on 4.4.2 and I think it is finally time to try 5.0
Since I'm so out of date, I want to make sure I update my phone without bricking it or losing xposed framework.
My current device's system info:
Andriod Version: 4.4.2
Build: ANCG
Kernal: 3.4.0-964333
Bootloader: G900VVRU1ANCG
Rooted
Stock ROM
Safestrap NOT installed
Xposed framework installed with these modules:
Greenify
Xprivacy
Wanam Xposed
Downloads 2SD
With such an out of date phone, is it safe to just follow the instructions in this thread? http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...w-to-update-to-g900voe1-5-0-keeproot-t3149784
Are there any known issues on Lollipop with xposed or any of the modules I use?
I think lollipop allows apps to access the SD card again, so I won't need the downloads 2SD module anymore, right?
I have read mixed reports of Xprivacy working on 5.0, if there is anyone using it on the Verizon S5, how's it working for you?
Thanks!

If you decide to go to lollipop any thing over bod5 cannot be rooted there are some decent roms that are flashable
roms via safestrap.

But why is rooted bod5 lollipop bad? Besides not being able to upgrade to newer versions of lollipop, did you have a bad experience with bod5?
I'm ok with not being able to upgrade further. I stayed with 4.4.2 for a long time, I have no problem staying on bod5 for awhile.. Unless there are other good reasons why lollipop Itself is not worth upgrading to.

Bog5 is the latest now I guess it was to fix stage fright but you could choose the one to your liking not much development for bod5 anymore.

You can install rooted OG5 roms. I'm running a stock deodexed OG5 build (rooted) and it's pretty smooth.
With such an out of date phone, is it safe to just follow the instructions in this thread? http://forum.xda-developers.com/veri...proot-t3149784
If you want xposed on OG5, no. It needs a deodexed rom and that OG5 is odexed. You can use this one if you want xposed on OG5: http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/development/vzwstock-based-tw-rom-t3178953

Xposed runs but it needs a special version (just do a google search for samsung xposed lollipop). Whenever I run greenify on xposed it causes bootloops for me, but I think it might work fine for some people. Wanam xposed has a special version for lollipop so make sure to switch to that.
I think lollipop allows apps to access the SD card again, so I won't need the downloads 2SD module anymore, right?
I don't think you need it, but when you install check to see if it works. You can always downgrade.
I have read mixed reports of Xprivacy working on 5.0, if there is anyone using it on the Verizon S5, how's it working for you?
It worked for me when I ran it a few months ago, but if the reports are mixed take my success with a grain of salt.

Thank you for actually answering my questions!!
I will attempt OG5 using a deodexed version so I can install the samsung lollipop xposed. Hope I don't screw it up :-/ I've rooted and played around with a few phones before with no problems, but the last time I messed with a phone was over a year ago so I'm pretty rusty.
cheers!
edit: To use the deodexed version of OG5, did you use the muniz_ri method with FireFlash and just replace the muniz_ri ROM with the deodexed ROM? Or did you follow the instructions in this thread? Or something completly different?
Btw I'm still on 4.4.2 NCG but I have installed SS
Since you are at NCG already I think you can start with rooted odex stock. You should flash muniz_ri rooted odex stock with flashfire, it ll full wipe for default also. After that you 100% can flash any G900V lollipop rom you want with flashfire or safestrap, I choosed FF for myself. I am not sure, maybe you can flash deodex right away, but after some lurked and questions I personally did as described in first sentence. Don't forget to do backup, samsung for example. I was in your position not so much time ago.
i second that lollipop is terrible. go to 4.4.4 and stay. look in page 2 or 3 of android development for ricks rom and flash that, its the best kitkat rom and it just work way better than 5.0

[Q] Xposed + modules more stable on LP or MM?

Trying to get feedback about how xposed is running on MM. Deciding if systemless root is worth it for MM.
Thanks!
I've had xposed on LP and MM on my Moto X Pure.. Both have been very stable. Only reason for systemless root, as I see it, is you want to use Android Pay. Of course, once xposed is installed, Android Pay won't work even with systemless root.

And you definitely need a deodexed rom for xposed to work? correct? I like close to stock as possible.

No, you do not have to be deodexed.

Basic Question: Still have to deodex for Xposed install on Sprint S4 5.0.1 (sdk 21)?

I'm an xda n00b just trying to get the XHaloFloatingWindow working on my S4.
So far I've rooted my phone and created a backup image (saved on my PC), but now I've got to install the Xposed framework. I'm a bit confused after reading the boards though because the older posts say I have to deodex my ROM first, but rovo89's recent posts don't mention this requirement before linking to the installers.
Please let me know: do I need to deodex before installing the Xposed framework on my Sprint S4 5.0.1?
Thanks!

Yes.
You also need the special TouchWiz xposed version.
Hello, is there a Android 5.0 ROM without many features but compatible with Xposed modules? I am not looking to overclock my Galaxy S4 i9500, I just want some programs to run on my phone, thanks in advance!

All ROMs are compatible with Xposed. Developers don't encourage the use.
I'm not sure how helpful this will be, but there are some unofficial Xposed frameworks that work on odexed systems. I have a stock ROM Note 4 (custom kernel) i.e. odexed, and also have Xposed (I use xprivacy, batterymon, SU, GPS spoofer, Flashify, Adaway, and BusyBox with a terminal so to probe various system peculiarities (PIDs, file handles, etc.)).
I can't remember the link for the Xposed framework my phone currently runs, but it was from XDA forums. Maybe it's worth searching for an unofficial framework for an odexed S4.

how to install xposed framework?

just flashed resurrection remix 5.7.1-20160711-angler on my phone and i want to install xposed framework on it. is it the normal procedure of flashing it from twrp then installing the apk and we're good to go? or is there a special version for the custom rom?
thanks
Should be the same procedure. Usually the ROM will specify whether it works with Xposed or not. but installation is the same

Totally off topic, mods curse me if you must, but what's the point of going systemless if the other mods you're installing still break android pay? Or does android pay work with the setup you have? It makes me so mad that Google disables one of the coolest features on their flagship phone when people make use of one of the other coolest features on their flagship phone. Ease/safety of rooting is one of the reasons I always buy nexus.
My bank decided to release their own tap to pay over NFC rather than use Android Pay. The only app that's broken for me would be the Android app I can't use regardless.
