I have this strange problem where sometimes my modem does not work after a clean flash. Usually just making sure the data network preference is set to LTE solves the issue, and after 10 min or less the phone picks up the band. But I've just done a clean flash teamUB 1/11 and its been 24 hours with no data connection. This same build worked fine for this same phone a week ago, but the 1/19 broke the phone so I had to do a clean wipe and go back to 1/11.
I've played with data roaming options in CDMA roaming mode, set to domestic roaming, national roaming. Still no data
Any advice?
This is for a 900P (sprint) - Note that I am on CREDO (uses Sprint network)
EDIT - FIXED YAY!!! FULL LTE WORKING GREAT!

The issue started when I was forced to wipe my system data and do a clean install in order to get the phone functional after boot loop from 1/19 update. so yes, I would assume that the modem built into the 1/11 update I rolled back to (clean install) contained the modem. But, as stated, the 1/11 build was working fine for me before, and not now.
Is there a way to just update the modem itself on this build/phone? I've been wondering about that and wanted to try it if possible.

There is no modem included in TeamUB's roms.
First thing's first, what model are you using? Go to signature settings and write your model there, this way whoever is helping you they will know what they're dealing with.

Sorry, I wrote 900P in the first post, I thought that was enough information. I've updated my signature to contain more information.

No need to say sorry man, just mean it makes it easier. Haha you're signature says 900O lol.
1 Install Samsung USB driver for mobile phones
2 Download the NE5 modem one click flasher here
3 Put your phone into download mode (Turn off the device, press Volume Down, Home and Power Buttons simultaneously, Once you see the warning message, release all buttons, Press Volume Up to enter download mode, Now your device should be in download mode)
4 Run the file from #2 and flash modem (if NE5 doesn't help try the other ones).
I don't think it's a modem problem though. IMO it's either the rom or the operator..

The NE5 throws a <OSM> MD5 hash value is invalid error. I flashed the ND2 version and no immediate data connection, but from past experience it can take a little while for the modem to sync. No idea what causes the delay, but everytime i flash a new rom it can take sometimes up to 30min before it gets a data connection. Been 15min no connection yet.
Couldnt find a mirror anywhere of that NE5 one click flasher. Know of any other hosts? i googled to no avail.

Update:
I have restored a old backup to kitkat, modem working fine, instant connection. Then I did a system wipe, clean flash to cyanogenmod 1/20 update released yesterday.....no modem. Restored backup again to kitkat, then did a dirty flash to 1/20 cyanogenmod.....no modem.
I think the issue is 5.0 itself. The issue is so random, I do not know how to troubleshoot it. I've installed maybe a dozen CM's so far, and its been a coin toss whether the modem works after install. Sometimes it syncs up after a few min, and sometimes never. its really strange because I had the modem working fine on TeamUB from late december, through 3 or 4 updates until 1/19 boot looped it. Now after that nothing has gotten the data back on other than restoring to kitkat.
When i did the clean install to cyanogenmod, on the startup process where it says 'waiting to activate cellular service' it gets stuck there and never activates the data.
Also, when trying to flash the NE5 tar md5 you linked to, I get md5 error! Binary is invalid. Im supposed to use AP, yes?
EDIT - Changed preferred network type to 3G and after a few reboots got data! Going to change back to LTE now and give it some time to see if i can get it to sync up.

No luck leaving it on LTE. When I switch back to 3g I can get a connection, LTE set in preferences I get no connection, not even 3g. I've been testing around the city and at my home, where I can always pickup a LTE connection from past experience.
It seems that the LTE protocol within 5.0 is buggy for my situation. If it works, it seems to work fine, but when it doesnt work, it never works. So its either glass is full or empty

There are two versions of labels in Odin. The "normal" says "phone" the one I don't like says "CP". You have the Odin I don't like lol, so yours says "CP". That's where you put the modem. "AP" is for firmware/roms only.
Try these two modems, which I found on this page, NK4 for 4.4 while NKD is for 5.0.
Try Ktoosez kernel and also check your Apn settings, it's supposed to be optimised for CDMA phones and might help you.

Hello community, I searched for hours before actually posting this thread.
My device: Canadian SM-G900W8(klte)
Last stock firmware: G900W8VLU1BOC1
Carrier: Rogers
Recovery: TWRP 2.8.7.0
Two days ago, I flashed the CyanogenMod 2015-07-14 nightly build on my phone using the official guides including gapps and everything seemed to work perfectly except one thing: the phone can't connect to the cellular data service but calling and texting does work, only internet dosen't it won't connect to the 3G/4G/LTE at all.
Before flashing I of course backed up everything with TWRP including my EFS/MODEM partitions so I switched back to my stock nandroid backup because I really needed my fully working phone the next day and it was late and data worked again.
Today I gave it another shot with the 2015-07-16 nightly and the same problem is there... I verified my APN settings and everything is correct. When I first got into the APN menu there were alot of them on the list including the ones I had on my stock ROM but none was selected so I ticked the one I had before but it still dosent work, I tried all of them on the list and no result. I even verified the APN(s) exact settings with my Carrier and everything was good yet the phone still won't connect to LTE, but calls and text do work again... Another thing I did was to restore the modem/efs partition with TWRP while running cyanogen just to be sure but it didint have any effect.
I really wanna use CM because I'm disgusted and tired of TouchWiz but I'm clueless on how to make the data work I tried everything I knew and read on forums.
I have the exact same issue...same phone, same network....
Did you resolve this?

Try to delete All Useless APN setting. It resolve my problem, and I have the almost the same configuration. ( Rogers, S5, Cyanogenmod 2015-08-01 )
The only one problem that i got, sometime LTE network lost signal for 10-30 seconds. But for what I read, it a common issue with this version ( 5.1.1 )
Good Luck !
Tried all that....
Finally went to an earlier build from April....working good now!

This also fixed my phone
I was trying to force 3G in my OP2 and used *#*#4636#*#* to enter testing menu.
Under that menu, I accidentally selected some other radio band and now one sim( SIM 2) is disabled(unable to find network).
I tried resetting phone to factory setting, but it didn't helped.
Also updated to latest OxygenOS 2.2.1, still one sim is disabled.
Please help....

Before Flash Remember to Wipe All the Data
Hi,
My OnePlus 2 was running Exodus ROM, which had 2 Sim's: Vodafone (2G/3G) & other Jio (Only 4G/LTE).
I read a blog, that In order to increase the download speed from the Jio SIM, preferred LTE Band should be switched (from 3 to 40).
So, I pressed *#*#4636#*#*, >> Phone Info page >> three dot menu >> select radio band >> SELECTED Band mode 40.
Immediately after that,
Vodafone Sim stopped working in any of the SIM-Slots, But Jio sim (4G) was working in both the slots.
*****
Then I ran these commands in fastboot mode:
"fastboot erase modemst1 "
"fastboot erase modemst2 "
"fastboot erase cache"
Immediately, Both the SIM slots stopped working.
*****
Then I flashed "new-modem.zip" from benschhold (https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24407100847293158)
which makes SIM-Slot-1 work with both Vodafone & Jio,
But SIM-Slot-2 only detects the sim, but with 0 network bars i.e. "No service| Vodafone"
*****
Clean flashed OOS 3.0.2 via TWRP, but SIM-Slot-2 = "No service| Vodafone".
I tried to manually search for networks,
It shows all the networks 2G & 3G in my city.
But connecting to Vodafone network from the list, always fails.
I think the latching (on to network) mechanism of SIM-slot 2, is faulty.
*****
Then clean flashed Exodus 29/8 build, but no fix.
Later, dirty flashed Exodus 31/8 build, which was supposed to flash the correct radio/modem/baseband on my OnePlus 2, but SIM-Slot-2, still doesn't let the SIM latch on to the network.
*****
Today, flashed "old-modem.zip" from benschhold, which resulted in phone stuck in boot loop.
Started OnePlus 2 Toolbox on PC, & flashed TWRP 2.8.7.0 via fastboot mode.
,successfully booted in TWRP 2.8.7.0 recovery.
flashed "new+modem.zip" (by benschhold).
Phone is working again, but SIM-Slot-2 = "No service| Vodafone".

As I have 35+ GB of pics/music/data, which will take a lot of time to backup !

Stock Reset to OOS 3.0.2 might fix your issue but it will completely wipe your phone so you'll need to backup anything you want to keep first.
Not sure why you wiped your EFS partitions without taking a backup first...

Thanks for replying back.
I'm downloading your fastboot.zip file (1.13 GB) right now (does the zip file also contain all steps, to flash correctly ?).
You mentioned in that post, that we can add REM command in .bat file to avoid format to data partition, can this be done with internal storage too ?
Also, I don't know what is EFS partition, & did not knew I had to back it up, before flashing custom ROM.
Anyways, can you tell, out of all the steps I did.
Which step actually made the SIM-Slot-2, to behave in this way ?
Was it, the "erase modemst1 & modemst2" in fastboot ?
Or
flashing new or old modem zip of benschhold ?
As at first step, selecting the band 40, only made the Vodafone SIM not work, but the both the SIM-slots were still working fine with Jio sim.
& Erasing modem st1 & st2, made both SIM-Slots stopped working.
& flashing new-modem.zip, actually made SIM-slot-1 work again (with both Vodafone & Jio),
Then why did this not work with SIM-Slot-2 ?
Logically, whatever made SIM-Slot-1 work, should also work for SIM-Slot-2 too (with slight modifications) ?
Will flashing a good/proper modem.zip make the sim-slot-2 work again ?
Rather than me, wiping my phone to OOS ?
What do you think ?

I don't think the fastboot zip will solve your problem as it only contains the rom and firmware. I'm not sure that even the Stock Reset to OOS 3.0.2 tool will either but it's worth a go.
Erasing modemst1 & modemst2 with fastboot is what's caused your problem but I'm not sure how to solve it.

I don't think he can fix that.
EFS has the information about the IMEI of a phone as far as I know.
No IMEI = No signal
A dual SIM phone has two IMEIs, and that probably explains why one is working after restoring one EFS...

But I did not restore any EFS,
then how come IMEI 1, is working fine, even after erase command,
I checked IMEI 2 = 0.
& I checked a lot of OnePlus One forums. (OnePlus 2 has a lot less threads)
It's mentioned many times, that erasing modemst1 modemst2, does not erase the actual IMEI info from phone. (As it's stored in some other deep partitions).
Modemst1 modemst2, are supposed to rebuild themselves, after they are erased.
Correct me, if I'm wrong.

On some devices they're rebuilt from a backup in the fsg partition but it looks like this doesn't work properly for SIM2 on the OP2.

Hi @osr.arora,
Unfortunately I do not think the stock reset will help you with this issue (as those partitions are not at all touched by the OnePlus Stock Reset), however I would strongly suggest you to take a backup and reset the device as a starting point.
Do you have a nandroid backup of your device (all partitions)? Even if it is an old one, try restoring them.
Sorry but I am out of ideas for getting this sorted.

No, that's for the OnePlus One - you'll end up bricking your phone if you use tools built specifically for another device.

Hi,
Could you tag the names of those few people, who have the actual know-how of technical issues.
LOL, I guess no one has solved this issue till now. Every thread regarding this issue on every site remains unanswered . I request the developers to try finding a solution to this problem. All the best ppl.
wrong radio band issue
Even I changed the band to band 40 however, I am getting the networks on both the Sim one being Jio and other being Vodafone. But the issue is I am not able to make calls from my vodafone number. There is no problem with incoming calls but out bound calls are not happening. JIO is working fine on both sim slots. Vodafone giving problem no matter if I switch the sim slots as well.
The ROM I was using wasn't working so I decided to flash stock to my phone again. Now when it boots it has no wifi and doesn't recognise the (single sim model) Sim Card.
It also reboots periodically.
I can't find a fix for this, but I think it might be because I flashed the Europe Stock while my phone is from Vodafone australia.

What region would the Australian Vodafone version be?
I don't know that..Try Asian firmware..if nothing works restore nandroid backup you'll find those here on other threads.
Flashed the latest EU stock I could find and it does boot. About 80% of the time it boots it doesn't connect to wifi or mobile and reboots. Looked at it in log cat and can't find anything I think could cause it to not work.
When it does work there is no mobile data even though I set up the APN as Vodafone instructed on Vodafone's site
Was looking around in logcat looking for why 3g isn't working found this

Reset it and and booted with no wifi, ran logcat and towards the end got this chunk.
Have rebooted about 20 times and gotten no boots with wifi or sim
Found out the australian version is the EU firmware from the Vodafone website
When you flashing the stock firmware are you flashing the modems and radios correctly?
Try this thread

I'm fairly sure that I'm flashing the modems and radios correctly, but I will reflash using this guide anyway.
Is there a way to flash those two without reseting the phone?
Okay reflashed the phone using the commands from the Forum post. In the select wifi network menu it has no wifi and MAC 02:00:00:00:00:00 and occasinonally says "Turning Wi-Fi on..." with nothing much happening
Okay got it past the start scren and basically got it back to square one with still no 3g and it only boots with Wifi and Sim one 3rd of the time
Tried just flashing the Modem with
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase customize
fastboot erase clogo
fastboot reboot

Whats a CM version with a good work rate with XT1562 moto x, I tried 12 and 13 and they seemed to either crash often or have no wifi/sim

Hello
Could someone help me?
a2017u b20 stock. Flashed via EDL
I have a2017g version. but i need wifi calling working(and it works perfect on b20).
But i have some strange issues with modems.
I tried a lot.
ZTE_A2017X_Oreo_V2.10B12_Gmodem
ZTE_A2017X_Oreo Gmodem for 02 version
ZTE_A2017X_Oreo Gmodem for 03 version
They worked, and wifi callong was working too, but - funny bug - when someone calls me from iphone X(exect iphone X) then i cant hear him. and after i call back all is normal. But cant receive calls from them.
The only modem, on which there is no this bug is ZTE_A2017G_MODDED_MODEM_FOR_OREO_A2017V3.0.0B01-2_TURKDEVS
from this thread:
But with this modem i have only 000000 instead of both IMEI, and after 1-2 there becomes no service on the sim 1(sim2 works but wifi calling works only on sim1) and after reflashing this modem it is good for 1-2 days.
I almost want to brake this phone because of such stupid bug.
Anyone use a2017u b20 firmware on a2017g? which modem do you use and do you have such problem.
Firs

hello, as i wrote before i tested b03 and b02 modems, flashed in twrp. On both there is a roblem with incoming calls from Iphone X.
Hello everyone.
Also tested on b12 by nfound. The same issue there on b12 g modem. I cant hear iphone X owners when receive calls from them. Hear them well when call them back. On Turkdevs modem incoming calls are ok, but no imei and "no service" after 1-2 days. I think i already tested all current roms. Maybe someone could mod b03 modem as turkdevs b01-02 from 1st post?
I got the same problem since yesterday. My device was away for a battery replacement some days ago. After I get it back everything was fine. Yesterday the modem stopped working. In my option I changed nothing. I just get no signal anymore. I'm still on 14.1 Nougat. I have tryed to flash the modem again, made a system, EFS, bootloader and twrp recovery but nothing worked so far. I also tryped to reset network settings and tryed another sim card..

Not yet. I was hoping that there is a solution with less effort. Is this the only know solution?

I've actually never heard of this problem, so I'm not sure what the proper solution is. Going to stock via EDL has always fixed my problems in the past, so that's why I recommended it. You can give it a shot, it's not like your phone is very useful in it's current state as a "phone to call people with".

I already read something about it. Thanks for that advice again. It's the absolute wrong time for a error like this. I have absolute no time/no head for this.
My problem is totaly different.
Modem works. G modem (b12,b03,b02) works, but only one problem - incoming(outcoming good) call from iphone x is without sound - i cant hear them. But on one modem - b01-02 from turkdevs i can hear them, but there is no imei - 0000 instead of imei and after 1-2 days "no service"
I started this thread because i think that here could be a man, who could make some magic with b03 modem and make some changes, wich will allow me to hear iphone x users.
Your problem seems like it just wrong modem flashed. maybe some other to try and you will find some which will work.
Is there any user here, who could edit modem?
