So if you go into the application manager and show all system apps you can see the battery drain per process. Android system is a compilation of processes. By far out of all the processes that I checked USBSETTINGS has the most battery drain. 12% (which is half) of the 25% android system total. So what does this app do?

I see the process list but its no different than doing so in battery. How did you see that USB was any % of the total AS %

When I tap where it says 12% battery used it brings me to the Android System battery stats entry.

Right, but that is also easily achieved in battery itself and tapping android system. It does not show USBSettings other than listing it with everything else. How did you determine that USBSettings was the most used?

I checked the other apps in the list the same as I checked USBSETTINGS they were all 0-2%. USBsettings is by far the largest.
Did you see the screenshot?

No I was wrong. I just checked more apps and a lot of them are reporting the same 12%. They don't sum up to the total android system. Anyone know why?

Well either way. I re-enabled. I am not sure how the process list is populated. Is the most used atop, if so, that's MTP for me. Also, I know I am just riffing but MTP could be connected to the SD card. I wonder what would happen to the SD820 variant without a card installed.
Again, just thinking.

I do not have any android system battery drain. Its in normal range at about 6% while the display being 25%. So if some of you have a problem, it might be an area thing? With some custom provider roms? I bought mine in switzerland and it seems to be totally untouched rom.

Hi I'm a Indian user
Last week I updated my note3 to xxuenf3 firmware then I had very terrible battery life
I'm getting just 4 hour on screen sometimes I get 3 hours :crying:
Guys please help me to increase my battery life
I don't want to root my device
May post your battery usage page to see what drains that much. The more experienced guys here may correct me but i guess without rooting there arent too many options to safe battery.

Thanks adding screenshots. As i thought facebook is an hughe drain factor as i see it also id suggest adjusting you screen brightness. Idc about uc browser tho

The more experienced people can say more to that as me. Specially with your desire to not root your phone. There are as far i remember serval bugs causing system to drain more battery but i think it was way more than. Maybe search arroubd here for that bugs for more info about it could not be too wrong tho

thank how to root n900 ???
then should i install custom rom for good battery life
Added link
There are serval threads about that. Just follow the steps within thread step by step and youll be good to go. But read up within the threads about consequenses and risks. You wont need custom rom an custom kernel will do good aswell. I have nice experiences with ultimate kernel. Important to know is you have to read up if the kernel/rom is confirmed as working with exactly your device. For example international note 3 = sm-n9005

We don't need a new thread every time you have a battery issue, thanks. If you are that concerned, RMA it or just return it.

Agreed. Mine is draining faster today than yesterday.
I got an update today for my AT&T version also. G935AUCS2APC2 is the latest. Android version didn't change, still 6.01
seems like they changed the security settings, now everytime I lock the screen with nova double tap, I need to use the pin my fingerprints wont open it.
I'm still on the old update apparently for AT&T. Even shows me this message when checking for updates.

No unfortunately not. But after a factory reset it never came back in such a huge way, before the factory reset it suddenly appeared on top in the usage list with 45% usage, dropping my phone's battery from 90% to 40% in less than 1 hour.
My settings aren't really special, I only use sync when my phone is charging (regular charging, I don't ever use fast charging), I don't use AOD, Location or NFC, and I have disabled pretty much everything that can be disabled through the phone itself, without using a package disabler. Also, my screen resolution is on 720P.
I love the batterylife on my s7 edge with 7.0 btu. It's way better then mm

Just got the official 8.1 system update yesterday from the Android beta program on my pixel xl 128gb. It seems to be running smooth no errors so far.
It sure is, except it broke the most useful feature I have, the ability to edit APN. This in turn kills unlimited hotspot with mobile.
