So the root method I've done is
Installed latest security update ROM flashed with SuperSU 3.62-3 then 3.67.
I've got software installed like greenify and amplify.
What's happens if I uninstall root through SuperSU with root software installed?

The root software did not work anymore.
Why would you want to do that?

Well I'm glad you asked. I'm going traveling and need to encrypt. My phone will not encrypt. From what I read I either need to unroot or reinstall 6.0 MM, encrypt then root.
Being on trupxmm previously I was able to encrypt after all software and root software was installed.

So I tried a full unroot through SuperSU. FullUnroot Failed.
I wonder if it has something to do with Systemless root.

I was doing it wrong. I was selecting yes at full unroot. I went through again selecting No. Root uninstalled. What ever settings that were set through root programs like layers manager and gravitybox, stayed while unroot. Only complication I had was advanced power menu app. I had to hold power button for 10 seconds to power down before encrypting because SuperSU automatically reboots into marshmallow which I find kinda dumb. I see no need to power back up into marshmallow after unrooting.

Ok thanks
Kingo Root Works for Metro PCS Zmax
Try That and there is twrp for zmax just look under model number .
not sure about roms yet will research an let you guys know.
It can be rooted, but it's very hit-or-miss; you can do it perfect fifty times in a row and fail all fifty. There's no reliable way to do it yet.
Latest version of KingRoot (NOT KingoRoot) works fine right after a factory reset. Root using KingRoot, enable Root Permissions in KingRoot, run the TWRP installer APK, uninstall KingRoot and any other apps it installs, boot into TWRP, flash SuperSu Update zip, reboot.

That's what I did, and it worked, but doing a factory reset beforehand sounds like a good idea.

i rooted my phone my self ....
I've been reading a lot of threads with a number of different ways to upgrade to MM on a rooted phone. Anywhere from restoring back to stock to take the OTA to flashing one of the files in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...rom-stock-rooted-debloated-x1575-6-0-t3262242
I am currently running LP 5.1.1 unlocked BL, rooted, xposed installed.
Couldn't I just unroot, flash stock recovery and the system img and accept the OTA? DO I have to return to full stock? Also is systemless root the only way to root after you take the OTA?
Sorry be there is so much information going around I just want to make sense of the update process.

You can probably just flash stock recovery and system.img and accept the OTA.
Systemless root isn't the ONLY way to achieve root on MM, but using the traditional (/system) root method requires a modified kernel to set SELINUX to permissive. For now, it looks like systemless is the way to go.
Good Luck.

Is there an advantage of systemless root over the traditional? And I am guessimg since I have SuperSu installed I will still need to do a complete restore to stock.
Hey,
I'm trying to make Secure Settings work but I think the app is not compatible with systemless root (if this is not true, tell me please). I went with systemless root at first because it was the latest and what everyone was talking about but, tbf, Android Pay is not even available where I live so I see no point on staying with systemless.
I'm on Cataclysm and ElementalX. What's the best way to go from systemless root to system root?
Thanks
Sorry for reviving an old post - but same here. I flashed the latest SuperSU zip without knowing it was systemless.
I believe you can unroot usign SuperSU and then flash an earlier version of the SuperSU zip that works with Marshmallow.
So here is my setup:
Stock firmware (7.0), stock recovery (only booted twrp for root, not flashed) and systemless root. I have a few root apps, no xposed, only simple stuff.
I've just received the OTA notification and I'm wondering what should I do. Can I simply install the OTA and reapply root afterwards? Flashfire is an option? Do I have to flash any stock image before doing the OTA?
Really appreciate if someone could help me...
Solved. Close thread.
I know this is all over the place, but I thought I would bring it here just in case anyone hadn't found the answer. I have seen a few posts about this on Reddit and some other forums. This will obviously hinge on having the unlocked bootloader. You will also need a file explorer that lets you view root folders just in case you want to make sure the binaries have been delete.
What worked for CM13:
Install SuperSU and use it's unroot method which should delete all SU binaries in /system/bin and /system/xbin.
Install phh SU and Magisk manager.
Reboot to recovery
Install the Magisk v6 and PHH SU files.
Reboot system after clearing cache
Access Magisk Manager and toggle root, it should prompt PHH SU to ask about permissions.
I have read that this same method works for PaulPizz and Jasmine Rom as well. PaulPizz has Xposed preinstalled, so you have to run the Xposed uninstaller and remove the Xposed app. Follow instructions from the Xposed for Magisk thread to reinstall xposed if you require it.
If you want this with the Stock Verizon image, there is a link in the Stock Image thread on page 41 with the bootloader removed for safe upgrade. I will update the post with links to the appropriate threads later today.
Credit to all the devs involved with the Note 4 and Android in general.
The method you've described worked for me on 0.35 PoGo. Then 0.37 update I already had to rollback.
I'm using HTC One M8, rooted, pph and Magisk on stock Rom, systemless xposed.
Now the forced 0.39 version does not run, leaving me with me 'Failed to log in' text. Please guys, work on some help I put my trust in you
I'm on Paul pizz and when i follow the instructions I can get full unroot, everything flashed, but when I go into Magisk manager I am not prompted for anything and if I hit the toggle for root it just toggles itself back. It appears that even after removing the super.su from system in twrp that I still can't get it to install.
I have also removed Xposed with the uninstaller and tibu to remove the APk. I can get systemless Xposed to install and work but not systemless root.
Any ideas?

I'd it's still detecting root, the su binaries haven't been removed completely. Also check that magisk toggles off root.

If you have xposed active, it may not allow you to toggle root off. You have to go to system less and deactivate and then reboot. Then turn off root in magisk. It's the only way I found to get it to work.
Anyone figure out how to install magisk on emotion 7.1 I tried and just boots to download mode and says it couldn't boot normal.

I'm also running emotion 7.1.1 die you ever find a work around of PoGo. I've been trying lit of things but of us it sounds like this magiaksu option is our only option but I can't get it to work either.

https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/isu-simple-app-to-deactivate-activate-t3478348
I've seen a few posts on people getting iSu to work to get PoGo on our phones. I've tried a few times but no matter what version of Su I have installed o get this respongse.
Does anyone have a verison that is compatible with iSu. Or could provide me some guidance that would be great.
