Yes.
You still can go to fastboot by force turn-off.
When the USB logo appears, hold the power button, the phone will power off.
Then, hold the volume key, AND THEN, hold the power key too. When the screen turns on, release power key and keep holding volume up until you see fastboot.
To use your recovery, you must unlock your bootloader.
You can go back to your system by using the REBOOT fastboot option.

I tried but it just show the USB logo and suddently reboot... I made a video, its uploading, I will post here when its done.

Sorry my bad english:

[Q] Dead LG G2 Sprint

I have lg g2 sprint version. I have unlocked it by following a tutorial on youtube. On the ui there was a message that there is software update and i tapped to install it, but it was stuck on fastboot mode started udc_start() so i followed tutorial from a forum and fastfbooted boot aboot recovery and laf, but forgot to run fastboot reboot and turned off and on the phone. Now when I try to start the phone it shows the lg logo and after that only the led is flashing no matter if it's charging or not. Any ideas what to do? I have plugged it in to power it, but I am not sure whether it's charging now.
I can enter in download mode by pressing volume up and power button, but I don't have pc near me to try to flash to stock.

The situation after a couple restarts is:
When I put to charge the lg logo appears and the led is flashing from yellow to blue
if I hold down and power button it says "Recovery mode. Loading..." and nothing happens
If I hold up and power button it enters download mode
Can I charge the phone in order to flash it to stock?
p.s. I am turning it off by holding the power button for ~20 sec

[Q] Bootloop, cant get into fastboot

Hi
I rooted my nexus 10 some months ago. All worked fine until yesterday. I wanted to go back to original firmware and used the WUGs nexus root toolkit to download 4.4.3 version and flash it. But afterwards the tablet doesnt boot anymore. Google logo appears and then the circle thing never goes away. I searched many threads, and all base on going into fastboot and flash again, but thats the problem. I cant get into fastboot. The usual combination (Power and vol+ and vol-) doesnt work! I tried many other combinations with different timings, longer press only vol+ and power ...., I always get to google logo after it vibrates.
Is there any other way to get into the fastboot mode ?
Can I connect it to the computer and interrupt the boot process when I switch it on via the PC?
thanks in advance
regards
Erich
Try to connect it to PC with original usb cable and run "adb devices".
If you see Nexus device, you can try "adb reboot recovery" and upload a ROM to /sdcard with "adb push" for flash it.
Hi
Thanks for your relpy.
But thats the problem, even if I could upload a file with adb, which is not working, how would I flash it if I cant get into fastboot or recovery mode ???
thanks anyway
regards
Erich
I think what patzzz is saying is that it depends on your bootloop, often is the case that when someone is in a bootloop the kernel does initiate and adb is functional. Not always but at times for sure.
So if so you can attempt
adb reboot recovery
Or
adb reboot bootloader
If the above doesn't work than you will have to continue trying to boot to bootloader manually with key presses (which I believe is power on while holding volume down)
Best of luck!
Hi
Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately it doesnt work. It made a batch file which calls adb devices and adb reboot bootloader in a loop, so it can send it to the device if it is found, but the tablet isnt regonized, tried some reboots and no luck, adb cant find it )))-:

It seems a brick, but you can try using fastboot command instead of adb:
Code:
fastboot devices
fastboot reboot-bootloader

I suggest you do a factory reset from the stock. You have gone back to stock firmware so you should have stock recovery. I had this happen once and this work for me.
Hi
I will try it with fastboot too, maybe it works....
How can I do a factory reset without recovery mode ?
thanks

1.If your tablet is on, turn it off.
2.Press & hold the Power, Volume Up, and Volume Down buttons at the same time for several seconds. You'll see the word "Start" with an arrow drawn around it.
3.Press the Volume Down button twice to highlight Recovery mode.
4.Press the Power button to start Recovery mode. You'll see an image of an Android robot with a red exclamation point and the words "No command."
5.While holding down the Power button, press the Volume Up button.
6.Use the volume buttons to scroll to "Wipe data/factory reset," then press the Power button to select it.
7.Scroll down to "Yes - erase all user data," then press the Power button to select it.
>>2.Press & hold the Power, Volume Up, and Volume Down buttons at the same time for several seconds. You'll see the word "Start" with an arrow drawn around it.
Thats the problem, it doesnt work! Tried it a dozent times, only Google logo appears.....

Only turn on in fastboot mode

My nexus 4 isn't turning on in any way.
If i connect the power cable a red light blink once and stop, pressing the power button nothing happens. The only way to get some activity it's pressing the volume down + power and connect the power cable, but turn on in the fastboot mode and can get out of there. If i try recovery mode the phone dies, if i try to reboot the phone dies, if try to normal boot the phone dies.
I can turn on in download mode, but the LGNPST don't recognize it.
Fastboot commands via prompt are fine, unless i need to do something that reboot the phone.
Someone can help me?

mate 9 was bricked, any help?

before brick, it had being prompted for a while to upgrade the system software, I always tab later to postpone it. but yesterday accidentally hit the "upgrade now" then it was bricked after the phone was rebooted.
the screen stayed at the huawei logo and powered by Android at the bottom. I am able to push/hold the power button to power it off, but not able to power it up by any buttons or combination. it will automatically turn on (randomly) and stayed at the huawei logo for ever.
when the phone is on at the Huawei logo, connecting it to PC but either "adb devices -l" or "fastboot devices" shows nothing, no devices.
could anyone please share some light?
Thanks

Did you ever unlock bootloader? Could you enter fastboot mode? (hold volume - and power button). Or eRecovery (plug usb cable, hold volume + and power, until Huawei logo appear, release power button)?

unfortunately, I didn't unlock bootloader, so I can't enter fastboot mode actually. as I mention in the original post, I can only power it off when it's at the Huawei logo, but not able to power it on with any combination, it will randomly power itself on.
You have a corrupted /data partition, happened to me one day, on another huawei device (p9lite). You should, I said should, be able to reboot to huawei e-recovery, using power+volume up, release power after huawei logo shows up. Unfortunately you have to arm yourself with lot of patience and try to use an "unbrick guide" from another device. I'll try to find any info I can for you, but in the mean time you should look as well.
PS:/ I didn't even tried to install anything custom on this mate9, since it;s an expensive phone for me and I cannot afford to brick it up.

Hard brick of Z5C ... can I save it?

Well, I did it this time.
In a valiant attempt to install a custom ROM, I erased every partition using fastboot,
Code:
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot erase cache
Now what I meant to do here was flash a recovery, using
Code:
//fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img
but repeating this so many times over the last 48 hours, I did not do above and instead went quickly right into below,
Code:
fastboot reboot
The system rebooted as I told it to ... right into a black void of nothing. Now their is no 'recovery' image and no 'bootloader' image ... the phone is hard bricked, won't turn on at all, dead. I was so close to getting to the custom ROM! Is there any chance to get it back into recovery mode? or have I learned a $350 lesson?
Edit: Further research indicates it may be possible to force the system into fastboot using a USB jig. Has anyone tried this method?

Nothing. LED flashes red every few seconds. The same response if plugging it in without holding volume up. Along these same lines, holding the power button on for a few seconds causes the small vibration haptic feedback to occur as if it is turning on normally ... but nothing happens the phone remains dead. Similarly, holding volume down and the power key causes a small vibration haptic feedback as it was booting into recovery ... but nothing happens the phone remains dead. I haven't seen anything on the screen appear, or the phone turn on it any way, since executing the fastboot sequence previously described.
Whatever you did, you should still be able to enter in flash mode and flash a stock firmware. And by this I mean full stock firmware, not a ROM.

Ok, that would be great. I would be thrilled to get the stock ROM back, at this point getting the phone to turn on at all would be a victory! Would you please describe precisely how to do enter flash mode with the phone in the current state? To reiterate, the phone will not turn on in any way (normally, or volume down + power to boot into recovery). The only life in the device is a slow blinking red LED when it's plugged in, and a quick vibration after holding the power button. The screen has not turned on in any way, or the LED shown any color other than red, since executing the fastboot sequence previously described.
hold power button + volume up and to force shutdown
and then hold volume up (or down, i don't quite remember) while connecting it to a pc (hold the button while connecting the usb cable).
If the led turns green or blue, congrats
The power key has nothing to do in this context. It is used only to boot into recovery or force OFF.
While holding VOL ↑, plug the USB cable to your PC to enter into fastboot mode (blue light)
While holding VOL ↓, plug the USB cable to your PC to enter into flash mode (green light, or maybe nothing)

No, the PC does not currently detect the device. All drivers are correctly installed as the phone was recognized accurately prior to the described fastboot sequence.
This is weird. I already erased everyting via fastboot too a while ago, and I could still flash it.
Just to be sure.... unplug all other "smart device" before anything (drivers can't handle more than one device at a time when it comes to FB or flash mode). Open the device manager and let it to the foreground. While you hold the vol down key, plug it and keep holding it until the device is detected. Don't expect any reaction on phone's screen, it remains OFF in both fastboot and flash mode. So, if the device manager reacts, you win.

I'm getting something here which is very encouraging! Executing your sequence causes the device manager to blink (refresh) as if it sees something, however no new devices are recognized in the tree. The phone LED goes to a solid green, reminiscent of a fully charged battery, stays on for about 30 seconds, briefly blinks red and then back to green, etc. The device manager is certainly reacting here it just doesn't recognize the device.
So here we are, you win. Because you have the "two", detection and green led. And if this state goes off after a certain time, it is normal. There is a kind of countdown and the device quits that mode if nothing is sent to it. You should be able to flash a firmware now with flashtool software.
Just ensure you have proper drivers installed properly (WinUSB drivers need to turn signature verification OFF before or Windows will block the installation)

Unbelievable! You saved me! I'm back up with the stock ROM and peace of mind to attempt the custom ROM process again. Saved me $350 ... thank you!!
That's great : )
It is almost impossible to hard brick a Xperia. If something goes wrong, remember flashtool ^^
