[Q] Dead LG G2 Sprint - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have lg g2 sprint version. I have unlocked it by following a tutorial on youtube. On the ui there was a message that there is software update and i tapped to install it, but it was stuck on fastboot mode started udc_start() so i followed tutorial from a forum and fastfbooted boot aboot recovery and laf, but forgot to run fastboot reboot and turned off and on the phone. Now when I try to start the phone it shows the lg logo and after that only the led is flashing no matter if it's charging or not. Any ideas what to do? I have plugged it in to power it, but I am not sure whether it's charging now.
I can enter in download mode by pressing volume up and power button, but I don't have pc near me to try to flash to stock.

The situation after a couple restarts is:
When I put to charge the lg logo appears and the led is flashing from yellow to blue
if I hold down and power button it says "Recovery mode. Loading..." and nothing happens
If I hold up and power button it enters download mode
Can I charge the phone in order to flash it to stock?
p.s. I am turning it off by holding the power button for ~20 sec

bricked, stuck at LG Logo after reverting back to jellybean (D801)

Hi so I have a T-Mobile LG G2 (D801) which has stock KitKat rom and rooted with custom TWRP recovery, I also installed autorec to fix download mode. I was trying to revert back to Jellybean 4.2 and I bricked my device. I followed this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
and used the kdz method. I held volume up button, plugged in the device, got download mode, tried flashing the file and got some kind of error, it was in korean so I couldn't read it. As it was flashing it went up to 6% on the device but thats when the Flashtool gave me an error. I tried to exit download mode by holding down the power button till the LG logo appeared. I did that and when it appeared I unplugged the device. However now the device won't shut off and is stuck at the LG logo screen. So I dissasembled the phone and unplugged the battery cable from the motherboard and it shut off. I then plugged it back in and tried to enter download mode, but nothing happens, it's stuck at the LG logo. If I hold it for 10 sec the screen turns black and LG logo appears again. I also tried holding it down and when screen turns black I hold down power+vol down (to get into recovery), screen turned on with LG logo and I removed both buttons and then held power button for 2 sec and that worked. And I tried to do a factory reset, but it basically freezes at that screen. It is stuck on “factory reset processing” for 20min now. Also I'd like to clarify that this is the stock recovery not the TWRP that I had installed. I tried double the power buttons 3 times in stock recovery to enter TWRP but nothing happens, it just says "factory reset processing".
I'm not sure what I should do now, is there a way that I can flash something via adb and load a custom recovery or rom? Or go back to stock rom?
Please help.

LG D802 fastboot problem

Hey guys. I bircked my LG a couple of days ago and now it's in:
[810] fastboot mode started
[860] udc_start()
I cannot enter download mode because the phone will not shut down. When pressing and holding the power off button it turns off for a mere second and then the LG logo comes up and i get into fastboot again. The phone will NOT turn off.
When I connect it to the PC it is not detected as qhsusb_bulk in device manager but as a CMCC ADB Device>CMCC Composite ADB interface.
Any help is appreciated.

hold pwr button longer, don't let it go when LG logo shows... only then the device will power off completely...
after that, search on how to enter the recovery (depending on your bootloader - see dorimanx kernel thread op)

if you have a twrp recovery - it will first show "factory reset", you say "yes" 2 times and it will enter twrp (it will not wipe anything)
if you have stock recovery - then don't press "yes" in the reset screen...
did you by any chance flashed a kernel recently?
fastboot error message is commonly shown when people flash the kernel which is not for their variant - and this can easily be solved with flashing the right variant kernel... (i.e. you have d802 variant and you flashed kernel for d800 variant and vice versa)

Yes.
You still can go to fastboot by force turn-off.
When the USB logo appears, hold the power button, the phone will power off.
Then, hold the volume key, AND THEN, hold the power key too. When the screen turns on, release power key and keep holding volume up until you see fastboot.
To use your recovery, you must unlock your bootloader.
You can go back to your system by using the REBOOT fastboot option.
I tried but it just show the USB logo and suddently reboot... I made a video, its uploading, I will post here when its done.
Sorry my bad english:

Samsung S5E keeps rebooting

I tried flashing the stock firmware via ODIN but the process failed and now my tablet is dead and not responding to power button + vol up/down, nothing happens.
When I hook up the tablet to the Samsung charger that can with it or my PC, the tablet boots into download mode and shows the "an error occurred while updating the device software" message and then starts after about 1 sec. It's been charging all night, so the battery should be 100%.
If I hold the vol up+down is shows the long press to unlock the bootloader for about 1sec then reboots.
Any help to force my tablet to stay on and a way to fix my issue ?
same thing happens with mine (after trying to flash firmware via odin)
reboots over and over without letting you stay in download mode
i have mine in edl mode
It maybe in a black screen of death. Either vol up or down and power for at least 10 seconds. I had this happen to me once.

how do we boot the tablet into EDL mode? shouldn't we be able to unbrick the phone if we're in EDL mode?

LG G6 (H870) stuck on boot screen after twrp flash

Hey everyone,
so here's my situation:
I unlocked the bootloader for my G6
I activated USB debugging and OEM unlock in developer options
I then flashed TWRP 3.4.0-1
Now the phone is stuck on the boot screen, when I hard reset (power button + volume down, then pressing power button again when G6 logo appears, then selecting "factory reset" and "yes" twice) the phone does not boot into TWRP but instead goes to the boot logo again and nothing happens. I tried leaving it for a while and it stayed like this until the battery ran out. When I plug it in, it starts the same procedure immediately. When I connect it to my pc, I cannot manage to flash anything because I can't boot into bootloader because the phone is not detected (my pc doesn't play the usb plug-in/unplug sound).
So my question really is: Did I kill my G6 since I am unable to flash anything or is there still an option to get bootloader running again? And yes, I did try the unbrick method under https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g6/how-to/lg-g6-unbrick-method-t3935924 but I get stuck at the point where you need to click "download" because my phone is not detected. I also heard about the method of shorting the pins beneath the flash but I don't know how to do that...
Any help is appreciated.
Hi,
I had the same problem and finally solved it by using the release of TWRP found here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/recovery-twrp-3-1-x-stable-official.3627595/
After flashing TWRP I followed those restarting steps :
Hold vol down + power for 10 seconds and your phone will power off.
Hold vol down + power / release power when the LG logo appears and then immediately hold power until the Factory Menu start
Menu select Yes
Confirm Yes
TWRP boots
Hope this will help
Edit : A more recent version of TWRP compatible with LG G6 is available here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/recovery-twrp-v3-2-3-1-for-h870-h872-us997-unofficial.3828254/
