im guesing it's a driver issue since i found this in device manager

reinstall lg windows drivers... you have a red yellow exclamation mark besides LG in the windows drivers section...
remove any residue LG drivers first
unplug your device from pc
install LG drivers again
make sure not to plug your device in some usb hub or pc front usb ports (use back ones unless you're on laptop)
and use win7 or 8 (not sure if all that rooting works on win10 as well)

i just tried what you suggested but still no go
Edit: ran into this when retarting the phone

Annoying MotoConnect after Froyo Upgrade

Upgraded and now everytime I connect via USB Mass Storage the MotoConnect would prompt me for installation even tho I installed it after its first prompt. Out of the box with 2.1 it only prompted me once and never showed up again after I installed it.
Anyone have a fix for this?

Interesting to say the least...
If it were my situation I would deleted Moto drivers them reload them again, kind of a pain, but not to bad. I did it myself today.
It seem that some PC's can't see the DroidX in the device manager so a reinstall of the drivers did help me.
Hope it helps
TRY THIS FIRST!!!! switch usb ports.
put the phone into debug mode?
i know i didnt see the drivers cause my phone was always in debug and it nvr popped up.
so after i installed drivers i put my phone back into debug and i nvr see it pop

What am I doing wrong!? Thanks very much for any feedback...
uhmmm, whats the problem?
The part where I clicked start and it says, "All threads completed. (succeed 0/failed 0)"
ok well first off, your phone is not being read. it should show up on those little boxes under ID:COM, you have to be in download mode then unplug and replug your phone. if its not read by pc then it wont do anything.
Ah, thank you. That would explain why a whole lot of nothing has been happening over the last few hours. Now, to figure out how to get Odin to see my phone. I'm in DL mode already. I unplugged and replugged and nothing.
Do you have the correct drivers installed?

Hm, probably not. I downloaded Odin, the .pit and the .tar. Guess none of that stuff includes driver installation. Where do I get the proper drivers (Win XP Pro)?
This download has everything you need:

(From this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8528845&postcount=1 )
If you're trying to get to JI6 OTA then try downloading from here:

Thanks everyone. The problem was an obvious one really, I didn't have the right drivers installed. Thanks goes out to those who pointed me in the right direction.
The new problem I have came after accidentally pulling the USB cord out of my laptop while running ODIN. Now, all I get when trying to get in download mode is a graphic of a phone, a yellow triangle with exclamation mark, and a computer.
Anyone know what do do?

Galaxy S4 won't show up on Windows 8.1

Hi, I just got a new laptop (Lenovo Yoga 13) and flashed a new ROM on my GS4 a few weeks back. PC is on Windows 8.1 and GS4 is on Google Play Edition Port 4.2.2 by b-dub25.
I'm trying to have my GS4 show up as a disk (MTP/UMS, whichever works). When I plug in my GS4, nothing happens on my PC, or it will say "installing", and then nothing happens. If I go to Control Panel >Devices and Printers, it shows up as "SAMSUNG_ANDROID". The phone does the usual "Connected as a media device" deal. However, when I plug in my device to my fiancee's laptop (Windows 7), it boots up just fine. And when I plug in her phone (Stock GSIII), then it pops up like it should. I have no idea what to do.
I have already tried
installing the drivers over and over, both regular KIES and KIES
"Update Driver" from control Panel
Change to PTP
Rebooting PC and GS4
Going through the Samsung Troubleshooting
Here is what I see in Device Manager:

I thank anyone who can help in advance. And yes, I did search before this. I've been trying to fix this for 2-3 days now.
Google play edition ROM 4.2.2 has a mounting problem where it won't show up on your computer (from what I remember ) flash a different ROM and see if that works.

Motorola Driver Install Unsuccessfull

I've tried multiple builds of the Motorola drivers, they install but when I plug in my device is says that the drivers were not successfully installed. Does anyone now of a fix for this? I'm on a windows 7 laptop
Try using a USB 2 port and the cable that came with the phone.

Hmm, try going into device manager and uninstalling the drivers that are there and plug the phone back in and try to get it to auto install. If you use fastboot and recovery much, you also need to boot into each one of those and plug the phone into the computer so the appropriate driver will install for each of those.
Actually, one of the USB ports seemed to have installed the drivers successfully.

I found what the problem. The networking interface has to do with tethering correct? Any have any idea what could be causing this? I'm using the latest Motorola drivers now

That probably won't install until you put it into tethering mode. However, it shouldn't affect anything as far as using fastboot or having your computer detect the phone.

WTF did I do to my LG G2

Guys I'm not really sure whats going on with my D803 G2. I installed a new rom (not sure now what one and cannot find it) and obviously it wasn't for my variant because now it boots into a non-english LG OS for about 10 sec and tells me invalid battery, then shuts down.....
I've managed to get into download mode, but now when I try to install the MTP drivers, they will NOT install and it says Device cannot start (error 10).. I've read many forums about what to do if this comes up, but everything I tried doesn't work
I wish there was a way I could get into fastboot mode cause I could fix this. I read a post about if nothing works and I have to manually install .img files, but I can't get Ubuntu to work with any sense.
It loads from live DVD, but it is very laggy, and then it stops working all together.
Guys, anything you can do to help me, please.....
P.S.: This is what my download mode looks like now.

Please plug your usb device into rear/back usb ports
I always use rear ports
It's Korean. My guess is you tried to install Grola rom. It changes your partitions to make it look like the Korean variant. I would consider it a rom for advanced users, very easy to brick your phone. Anyway, try posting in the Grola rom thread. You're not the first with this problem.

Try installing more recent drivers - I've read somewhere it might help.
I have all latest drivers.
