Remove Samsung logo from screen - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hi,
Do you think it's possible to remove Samsung's logo from the screen (under the speaker) ?
I really love the Chinese and Korean version of the Galaxy S7 Edge (samsung.com/sec/consumer/mobile-tablet/mobile-phone/galaxy-s/galaxy-s7/)
I've already order a Dbrand skin but it's mat not glossy like the phone.
I didn't find any video showing someone putting some paint on top of it.

The logo is under the glass, no way of removing it without damaging the shiny film under it. That is if you can even separate the lcd from it.

[Q] Remove AT&T logo?

Does anyone know a safe way to remove the AT&T branding on the front of the focus? Its such a pretty sleek design it would be nice if the front was all black.
I can't feel an edge there at all, so is the logo even on the surface or under the glass?
Don't know if there is a coating on the glass that will be ruined by using a solvent or something like that.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Yea....just buy the Rogers version in Canada
That or a sharpie may be the only way

Which colour shows fingerprints the least?

Hi all,
My contracts just about to run up on my Note 3 so naturally will be looking to upgrade to the S6 Edge+, given that for some stupid reason Samsung decided not to bring the note 5 over to the UK
So my questions is, since they've only released it in Gold and Black and it's now an 'all glass' design, which colour shows fingerprints the least?
I've always had white phones (S3/S4/Note 3) thinking that black was the worst and white would hide finger prints better....Is this the case?
How bad is black for showing fingerprints?
Thanks for any help
Use a case all glass phone, finger prints are gonna be everywhere. From what i read the silver /mirror color gets the most finger prints but it's also the nicest color. I say black. Seriously that phone need a case. I'm getting the platinum sliver looking one or gold and keeps it in a slim case from spigen on it.

I've only had experience with 3 colours
The white shows least - but still very smudgy
The black sapphire - more noticeable than the white but ...
The gold (my current) version shows them very noticeably.
You can buy a matte or glossy rear glass protector with oleophobic coating which will hide a lot of them.
I got the white note 5 because it shows the smudges the least.

You can buy skins form slickwraps.com or dbrand.com which can avoid finger prints.I have ordered silver color phone which i will get in 2 days and same color skin from slickwraps under Metal series.
I read an article about fingerprint issues on these type of phones recently and it was recommending and demonstrating 'Rainex'. This if you didn't know is applied to car windscreens to repel rain, perfectly safe on any glass of course but probably best on the rear glass only as I am sure the screen has an oleophobic coating anyway. It's easy to apply and about £5 from somewhere like Halfords. I am going to try this out myself.

Glass replacement by myself

Hello everyone,
My screen cracked since a year...it wasn't a big deal and it's not too visible since it is a little rift holding the lower side of the screen, but it's esthetically annoying.
I found this on Amazon: https://www.amazon.fr/3021-Premium-réparation-Oleophobic-sm-g386-g935-F-prédécoupées/dp/B06Y5FCZ57.
So I wonder if I could replace the glass by myself...
What do you think about that?
Thanks in advance for your help.
I'm going to go out on a limb and tell you most certainly not. The edges on this phone make it extremely fragile and to be honest id leave it alone if it's still working.
Its easier to replace the whole LCD screen because you need professionnal items to grab it without breaking your LCD, i know that the prices are not the same but its the best solution if you want to do it yourself.
Here is my experience with replacing the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus screen.
So I bought this phone with a cracked screen (digitizer working) on eBay.
I got it and was not able to find any videos on YouTube for S6 Edge Plus, but found lots of videos for the S6 Edge glass replacement.
I thought to myself, well it should be similar. The only difference is that the S6 Edge is smaller in size.
Well, what can I say. I was so wrong.
1- I was able to remove the glass without any issues.
2- I was surprised to see something that totally DOES NOT look like the S6 Edge digitizer underneath (see attached pictures).
Usually, on the other Galaxy phones, you end up with all the glue residue on the digitizer and you start scrapping it off like they show you in videos.
With this digitizer, the glass came off surprisingly easy and NO glue residue was left on the digitizer.
What really shocked me was the digitizer itself.
This is made of something that you can bend and twist without it cracking (see attached pictures).
As you can see, I did bend it but it did not crack at all.
So, I went on the hunt to see what type of digitizer did Samsung put in this phone.
Until this posting, I was not able to find any information.
If anyone has any info to share, please post it here.
I'm really curious to know.
By the way, I think I damaged the digitizer while I was removing the glass because I'm not getting a display any more.

S7->S7E->S8 ---> Back to S7E user. Best film for the BACK of the phone?

Okay, I could not get used to the lack of home button and the dumbass fingerprint sensor location on my S8, so sold it and got a brand new S7 Edge Black Pearl Edition (<3)
I have a specific set of needs for a film to cover the BACK side of the phone, since for the front I'm going to be using the Whitestone Dome Glass (which I loved on my S8)
I abhor cases, and want to flaunt the beauty of the curves and color of my Black Pearl S7E. Hence I will go caseless, but with the protective films / tempered glass combo.
Basically, I want a THICK film that is clear and transparent. I've just about made up my mind (~90%) to purchase Skinomi full body protection, but just want to find out if there's something better and thicker out there?

Need help —What is the black layer under the battery?

Hi all,
I was trying to replace the s7 edge battery, during the process of removing the battery. I scratched the black layer (coding) within the battery slot. Now the phone is showing a dark spot/bleeding on the screen. Does anyone know what is the term of this "black coding" and is it repairable?
thank you.

I doubt if that is repairable. You may as well throw the screen away and buy a new one.
To me looks like it's just a heat dissipation pad. Copper on the bottom and a matt finish in top
Going by your method of brute force which shows in the pad, the screen on the underside is now broken
The screen components are underneath the battery tray and it's very thin the battery tray and it's not like you have gorilla Glass on the underside of the battery tray
That would be the issue
