Hi everyone, it seems I got a problem I never had before, or even heard of...I bought a pair of new Bluetooth headphone (Bluedio T2S) and when I started to use them I discovered this issue. There is not a really good WiFi signal in my bedroom, but I never had disconnection issues, in fact this problem occurs ONLY when I am using this Bluetooth headphones...which is curious...wifi keeps disconnecting and connecting again...instead when I am using wired earphones, the WiFi is always connected...this is weird.
Has anyone had this problem or know how to solve the issue?
Some technical specifications:
Rom: Albe95 Lollirom v8.0
Baseband/modem: UHPA1
Up
Note: This is happening even when I am in front of the router...keeps disconnecting. Anyway it's not happening with my fruity tablet using the same Bluetooth headset and connected to the same router...so I think this could be modem related...right?
I have had disconnection problems recently, I updated my baseband and bootloader but got even worse disconnection problems afterwards. I had to clean flash my rom again before everything went back to normal. maybe give that a try...

Anybody experienced the Bluetooth issue w/ Pdaimatejam's ROM? My Bluetooth could be switched on and stable. But it always shows "Searching..." and cannot find any Bluetooth device. I cannot find HD2 from other Bluetooth device either.
Please advise!
mine works sweetly
ermm... a) make sure the other phones bluetooth is set to be Discoverable
and b) so a soft reset )
Emm...
After performing some further testing, I found it can pair with my laptop, but still cannot connect to my car. Seems like the Bluetooth in that ROM is not compatiable with my car.

Finally I have to roll back to HD2O's 1.22. That ROM's bluetooth module works perfect.
in my case, I only get paired when I also put wifi on after that I cult put it off again
but It can not connect Automaticly you have to put it off wait 30s
put it on and after 30s they a connected and stays stable with out wifi
thats in V2 with original soft radio
I've been using Nexus 4 for 4 years now and only last year I began to need bluetooth in it for BT Keyboard and a mouse. That's when I discovered problems with this phone.
Using bluetooth and Wifi at the same time was impossible - WiFi would disconnect and I'd have to reconnect it manually each time - so I used a WiFi watchdog-reconnecter app for that, but still it was really annoying and caused few seconds internet outage each minute.
Then few months ago I've started using a smartwatch with smart notifications via bluetooth - and Nexus had problems with pairing and then with keeping the connection with the watch - it would randomly disconnect or I'd have to reboot the phone to try and connect the watch again. Watch automatically scans for the phone and tries to autoconnect to it - but Nexus is so terrible at it. I've tested the watch with other smartphones and none had these issues - all was flawless.
These problems all occured for me on all ROMs I've used with Android 4.4+ and I've tried stocks, EuphoriaOS, Chroma, PureNexus and now DirtyUnicorns. If I remember well, I had better bluetooth times with Chroma, but that I'll have to test again to make sure.
So guys here are my questions:
1. Do you know if Nexus 4 WiFi/Bluetooth problems were ever finally solved with a patch?
2. If you can relate your position to mine (using a smartwatch or something else that needs to reconnect to the phone automatically) then do you have these problems? If not, which ROM are you using and which kernel?
3. I've read that kernels don't matter in bluetooth and that it's mostly ROM based issue? Is that true, or maybe a specific kernel helps for these problems?
I'm using bluetooth to play music.
In the past I've had issues with audio cutting out over bluetooth on the official firmware. At some point it got fixed but I cannot remember when exactly.
Right now I am using PureNexus 6.0.1-20160311 and the audio problems came back.
That's all I can say but I did have a reliable ROM in the past.
Edit : I just installed the latest CM13 snapshot (2016-04-29) with Hellspawn r12 and Bluetooth audio stopped skipping.
I'm on the Resurrection Remix ROM, with no problems but I only use Bluetooth for the occasional file transfer.
Hello,
So I have not seen this one listed... I have been running into a VERY obnoxious intermittent Bluetooth issue. I'm very curious to know if anyone else has had this happen or is having this happen and if ANYONE has any sort of workaround/fix/thoughts/help! I posted this on my car forum as well since it only happens when connected to one of my cars:
All,
I'm having a terrible issue with Bluetooth on my 2015 S85. I'm concurrently working on the Android side to also research.
The problem is with my Nexus 6P running Marshmallow 6.0.1. This is why I'm fearing it's a narrow issue, how many of you who have a Tesla also have a Nexus 6P?
Issues:
1. Bluetooth connection is terrible between this car and my phone. The Bluetooth drops frequently and does not reconnect, or during a call it will just go silent even though it is connected. I am not pressing mute nor anything else to trigger this other than answer the call via the vehicle
2. The really bad problem I am experiencing is where somehow my phone is wiping ALL bluetooth connections when it connects to my vehicle (intermittently this is). This would be a minor inconvenience if I did not have existing bluetooth connections for various other devices, vehicles, watches, etc.
Has anyone else experienced these issues? Can anyone offer any sort of solution or work around/suggestion other than NOT connecting the phone to the Tesla? It is only with this car that my multiple connections get wiped.
Thanks
Hi all,
Since upgrading to Android 7.x, I've had problems connecting my phone to other Bluetooth devices, particularly my car heading it for hands-free. The headunit in one car works fine, the other car keeps connecting and disconnecting after about 1-2seconds in a continual loop. Before 7.x it was connecting fine. Even now my phone makes the notification sound of connecting when I'm in that car even when I choose 'forget this device' on both hu and phone, only way to stop the notifications is to turn bt off.
I've googled and found it's quite a common issue, but yet to find a solution. I joined the beta program and update everytime but yet to fix it.
My question is, will this problem be fixed if I install a custom rom like PureNexus or is it a flaw in 7.x affecting every rom? If that is the case, is it possible to downgrade to 6.x? I really want to be able to connect to my hu with hands free again, it's been months now with no luck!

Hello,
Backup your data's and try to factory reset.
You can install a custom ROM, but I guess it doesn't fix drivers issues which are closed sources.
Otherwise you can downgrade to a 6.x stock firmware.
Option 1 and 3 needs you to unlock your bootloader. Backup important datas, unlocking bootloader wipe all datas!
Good luck...

I suggest you fully wipe your phone and install the May Google image (N2G47O). There was a major BT rework introduced with 7.1.2 that fixed an issue just as you describe. I went 5-6 months without being able to connect with one of my cars (2014 Cadillac). When the 7.1.2 beta came out I did a fresh install and it immediately fixed the problem. BT has worked flawlessly since.

You need a completely clean 7.1.2 install.
There is a setting somewhere (I don't know where) left over from previous OS version or app.
My phone was doing the exact same thing with my BMW, and only my BMW.
Clean install of 7.1.2 fixed the issue for me.
I wiped my 6P today hoping it would resolve my BT issues with my 2015 Toyota Highlander. No such luck, it still boots my Toyota in an endless loop until I disable the BT on the phone. The car works fine on my Samsung S3.
What is the process to do a Clean install of 7.1.2?
Hello folks,
i atm i am Running RR 7.0.2 and having the problem that my bluetooth is disconnecting/reconnecting randomly in an interval of ~20 minutes in my car and nearly every day the bluetooth service on the phone completely stops working and then i have to reboot it to get it back working again. It's deactivated on the phone then and can't be activated, neither by the button on the pulldown menue nor in the settings.
My issue seems to be similar to the problems these guys encountered:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/help/oreo-bluetooth-t3851777
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/help/bluetooth-off-randomly-t3971491
Is anyone maybe having an idea why i am experiencing this behaviour or how to solve this issue?
Upgraded it to Resurrection Remix Q and the issue is gone so far, but my daily driver is now a Mi 10.
Many years ago and when my phones were Nokia S40 or Symbian, i had quite short on - off intervalls, every 5-10 seconds.
In this case here i suspect that you have just bad signal reception.
The connection between my S5 and my new car OBD adapter occasionally dropped until i switched from BT4.0 LE to BT 2.1. Stronger signal.
In such a case(phone on the dashboard, adapter below and metal in between) a direct connection may be impossible, making it depend on signal reflections from the chassis. Connection to the headunit was always stable, the radio sits atop the EOBD jack, and this alone may shield the adapter from the phone.
