Is anyone experiencing weird issues with battery before recharging? i had 2 days phone on batt and 3hrs screen on. It was at 53 % before i decided to charge. I fully charged it and now im losing 10% every hour even with phone on idle. Its weird cause every other charge will last a long time.

Yeah, I'm still stock on this phone and I'm getting inconsistent battery life. I usually charge every night, so I'm running about 16-17 hours per day. Almost identical usage each day but one day I'll plug in with 45-50% remaining and the next it will be dead when i plug in. Very odd. I'm going to root this thing just so I can get rid of the bloat apps. Well, that may not be the only reason I root. I may be compelled to put some AOSP on this and see how it rocks it.
well i don`t really recommend to ROOT stock rom, it caused for me a battery drain ! also KitKat known for drain issue even on Pure android on Nexus 5. I don`t really know a fix but i`d give u some tip and it might help
1. Re-flash D80020c
2. After re-flash do a factory reset
3. Don`t root or mod your OS
4. Turn off Sync or Location Service (or set to battery saver mode)
i did those steps and i have 34 hour on battery:
3 Hour screen on time (and about 30-40 min gaming in this 3 hour)
Left about 49%
i hope i helped a little
Potential solutions:
Have a look in Settings > General > Battery and see what seems to be using the most power. You could have a problem app that’s using GPS or trying to update frequently. If you can identify the culprit then you can remove it.
There’s a slim chance you have a faulty handset. If adjusting your usage and tweaking settings doesn’t’ result in any improvement then take your LG G2 back to the retailer or carrier and get a replacement.

I always have location turned off with all bloatware rwmoved. I honestly think you have to drain it to about 20% then charge. Cause i never have problems when i do that. Gonna try and drain it out again and recharge and see what happens then.
Are you having issues on KitKat out jellybean?

Its kitkat,it says rooted d80020c in my signature. Well here is my latest results. Left it on overnight and was at 53% with data off. Checked it this morning and everything was back to normal again no battery drain or low estimated battery times.weird cause i charged it around this percentage. I think you have to take it down to at least 20 before charging will find out later today when i charge.

well i really not heard about Deep sleep drain but while idle it`s drains bit faster then JB, with jb i could get max 40 hour and about 6hr screen on time and + 10-15% battery while on KK i can get 42 hour but about 5 hr and 45 min screen on time with 0% battery it`s seems a bit problem for 4.4.2 i think Google will fix it and hopefull we`ll get new update from AT&T if this prob will fixed
P.S i saw that if battery at 100%, overnight it won`t fall to 99 but while battery is on below 100% it drains about 1-2 % overnight is that a known prob?

2% overnight is pretty good, given that it's on WIFI I'm assuming?
I lost 25% overnight last night when I was off WIFI, so I factory resetted mine.
Took it down to 20% and discharged and its fine. Im guessing its a bug, but, easy fix just take the battery down to 20% or lower before charging
For the las 4 hours or so I noticed a huge battery drain and a very high battery temperature. The usage has been the same as ever. I am running stock 20s x727. Anyone else having this problem?
Yes me too! After I updated to 5.9.020s on my lex720, battery was fast draining even after sleep when phone was not in use. Also notice it was very hot after update.

How long you have been using 20s?
I updated when it was released and this problem started today
Sent from my LeEco Le Pro3 using XDA Labs
same problem here. i was updated with leaked rom and today something happened and my device shows temperature around 60 C degree. any idea what is wrong?
Same here. Got the new EUI 5.9.020S yesterday. Since I have a huge battery drain and also my phone gets unusal warm.
me too, I was in mars rom, and then phone become super hot I m thinking of changing rom
Mine was normal, but yesterday it started the temperature alone, and facebook is draining enough of the battery

40°C is normal if you use the device while it's charging, it usually hovers around the high 30's. If it's reaching 40 without the charger, then something is probably ramping up the CPU.

Mine stays around 27, 30 ºC but yesterday i messing with whatsapp and facebook it increased to 40.42 ºC it just went down when i stopped fiddling for about 5 minutes i found it weird
Funny, I'm experiencing the same today. I'm on the Google Rom from beginning of December. One will almost think that there is a trigger in the phone that is causing this.

Yes, and then the build from beginning of December
Me too. I took my phone off the charger, and by 9:00 I was at 75%, when normally I'm not at that until late afternoon. Battery monitor in settings showed an abnormally high usage for both Facebook and Messenger. Glad to see it isn't just me. On 20s since the OTA.
Wow I did not expected to see this many people with the problem, something must be wrong, I believe is facebook.
Let me elaborate. As you can see in my screenshot, facebook and systems services shows the higher battery consumption so I unistalled facebook just before going to sleep (for the system services I did nothing because I dont have root so couldnt install wakelook detector). I went to sleep at 87% and when I woke up after 6 hours the level was still 87. I recommend unistall facebook and see if it works for you

Without charging it was around 38.5. I turn it off for a while for it to cool down, connected the charger for a few minutes, turn it on again and the temperature was at 40 after a few minutes without using it.

If it's staying that temp while being used (and charging simultaneously), you'd need to factor in the temperature of your environment. Some people are in warm/hot areas, then others are in cold regions.

Do you think, the battery life and performance have degraded after oreo update(maybe may patch)?
Coz mine has surely degraded i need to charge my phone twice a day and games like asphalt 8 is also lagging
Tried factory reset too

Time to use custom roms. stock rom is trash ?
For me, latest May update increased battery life a bit. Here's pics of discharge 100%-20%. I could easily go to 7hrs or even 8hrs but I never let the phone discharge below 20%.
It all depends on usage, but in your case i think you have some wakelock in background that drain your battery, or some power hungry app. Install BBS or Gsam and check what is the cause for huge battery drain. And thing that most people forget to tell is that bad charging will ruin your battery pretty fast I personally never let it below 20% or above 80-85%. So if you let the battery discharge to 0% almost every time your battery will become bad faster. And games will drain battery very fast, you will get around 3hrs of SoT if you play games all the time.

I don't know man, maybe games are causing battery drain coz i play pubg twice a day .... So maybe drain is because pubg and asphalt 8 ?
And people say that charging to 100% from 0% is a good habit coz it calibrates the battery so I'm doing this for like 2-3 days discharging the phone till it gets switched off then charging to 100%

Has anyone else noticed Google Play Services using a large percentage of battery after the April security update from last week? 20% of battery being used. Screen usage is 2.5Hrs and 7 percent. I dont know what it could be. I even did a factory reset and the problem still exists. I have not added any new apps since before the security update. Any help would be great. thank you

Google play and services has always been a battery hog, on all phones and versions. That's why some people block some of its functions or get rid of Google altogether and use a Google free rom like lineageos.
the G7 doesn't have good battery life at all in my experience. Moto should of Gave a 4000mah battery.
