Seems there was one I tried, but with no height adjustment, the keys were to small.
Alternate keyboards can do this. Swiftkey. Chrooma.

Yes there are many of them there all moded Google 123 keyboards. From a past forum That work on 6p well.
You Must and have to root explore and either backup and delete the stock keyboard apk first Or just delete them period with root browser
You must set the keyboard in preferences to Holo White for the theme to take effect.
NOTE:
Download the desired apk first before you delete the stock apks within the O.S you'll need the keyboard you use now to type
Just install apks as normal and follow install.
The (123) keyboards meaning number rows are incorporated within the keyboard and multiple themes available.
I should tell you to search these things out and you would find them as this is found in the 6p theme section here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44170372
But today im feeling nice so I'll link you to the forum.
Most people would just ignore the question since its Literally within themes and mods section. Follow the install guide as mentioned or it won't work

@stevemw thanks, I'd forgotten all about that.

[GUIDE]How to setup 240 dpi on your rom

Hey everyone.
This is my first post in s3 section. I made a guide on how to setup 240 dpi on note 2 and I thought it would be a great idea since the requisites are available for both the phones.
UtkarshGupta said:
Hey everyone
This is my first guide so please be polite
In this guide I will show you how to setup 240dpi or possibly any dpi on your rom.
Links to all the requisites will be given below.
But what is dpi ?
It is the value that manages most ui of the system. a lower dpi means everything would be smaller hence more things could be fitted in the giant screen we have. a higher means everything would be larger hence less could be fitted into the screen
Before We Begin I Want To Clarify The Following-
1)First and foremost I am not responsible for any damage you cause.
2)I assume you have already rooted your phone and have some experience with rooting.
3)You have made backup to be sure that in case you mess up you you can return to what it was like before.
4)Read the whole post before actually starting.
5)Please Hit Thanks If I Helped You
So let's Begin-
1)Download and setup xposed framework (Very good instructions on how to do it in the thread) (You need to reboot).
2)Download these modules - xposed app settings , gappscrashfix , all apps in play store.
3)Enable all the 3 modules (You need to Reboot).
4)Now open xposed app settings and set open each app listed below and in dpi enter 320 but don't change anything else.
-calculator
-camera
-clock
-contacts
-dialer storage
-fm radio
-messaging
-task manager
-touchwiz home
-weather widget main
Now some of these could be skipped or some could be added(can be tested but imao that will make the ui ugly but still it's completely your choice).
Also modded versions of some of these apps has been provided by bala_gamer.
5)Before we begin copy the modded samsung keyboard from the link given or setup some other keyboard and make it default.
6)Now open /system/build.prop or use a build.prop editor if you are very conscious and change the following line "ro.sf.lcd_density=320" to "ro.sf.lcd_density=240"
7)Now before we reboot we need to include apply one fix , so instead of rebooting , power off your phone
8)Then go into recovery and flash the modded samsung keyboard.
9)Reboot and enjoy 240dpi.
Note -
1)The stock keyboard will constantly force close on 240 dpi (if you use xposed settings to set it to 320dpi, you will be practically unable to use it), so bala_gamer(thank him) has customized it to work properly on 240 dpi.
2)Recovery must be custom (ofcourse ).
3)Be sure to flash the correct version of modded apps (i.e. 4.1.1 if you have it or 4.1.2 if you have that)
4)I don't know if gappscrashfix and allappsinplaystore are actually required but nothing bad in using it.
5)I know the explanation of dpi is incorrect but that's all you need to know.
6)Installing xposed framework doesn't affect simplistic framework at all.
7)The gappscrashfix and allappsinplaystore you download would be in .zip format. Just rename them to .apk and you can install it then.
8)Many apps especially the system ones or samsung ones aren't ment to scale well. They are just meant to look good at 320dpi so they will look way ugly at 240dpi. To fix this xposed settings is used. You need to set it for each app that you think is ugly.
9)Please Hit Thanks If I Helped You
Finally the links-

That just modifies the DPI in build.prop. It does not make apps scale selectively. If I'm not mistaken, the Xposed FW is like what Paranoid Android has with its Hybrid engine, where you can selectively scale apps.

Correct but that will only do the step 6 of this guide if I am not wrong and most of the ui would be broken

AOSP Keyboard with 5 Rows (Number Row on top)

As a lot of people were asking and because it was what I missed in Cyanogenmod here it finally is:
AOSP Keyboard taken from Kitkat 4.4.2 with a Number Row on top! It took me some hours to get all working. Insted of the the old number row there are new symbols, more are coming.
The keyboard works on Android 4.3 and 4.4 (both tested) and on all ROMs (AOSP, AOPK, CM, TW...)
Install instructions:
1. copy it to /system/app/
2. tap on it and install it or just reboot
3. go to settings and activate it
4. when using the keyboard the next time pull down the notification drawer and change the keyboard
5. Hit "thank you" button if I works and I helped!

You can use PC layout for tablets, here's how to enable it:
1. Open AOSP/Google Keyboard settings
2. Choose Advanced settings, then choose custom input styles.
3. Add a new style using language English (US) and layout PC.
4. Follow the instructions to enable the layout.
5. To switch to the new layout, hold the spacebar until a popup menu appears, and choose the new layout.
The screenshot is taken on my Tab 2 7.0, so it looks a bit cramped.
Thank you sooo much....

Thank you. The LGE keyboard works quite well.
Text seems obnoxiously large on this keyboard, running LiquidSmooth ROM (AOSP KitKat). Larger than it shows in your screenshots. Any idea what might cause that?

Anyone know a fix for this? I like having the numbers up top and will use that feature a lot, but the huge text looks really ugly. App works great otherwise.

Well here's a tip
Go take a look at Xposed Framework. (1st hit on google leads to the topic i guess )
With this you can customize any stock rom to it's fullest extent.
Only pre-requisites are Root.
Go install a rom with Note 3 features, remove all the stuff you don't want, install the stuff you want (launchers etc).
Install Xposed Framework !
Install Wanam Xposed (from store or xposed installer) (( 4.3+ roms))
Modules i'm using:
- Advanced Reboot Menu
- All Notifications Expanded
- App Settings (set DPI per app)
- Chrome New Tab (opens up a new tab in chrome, instead of always losing the page you were on) ((when pressing a link outside chrome browser))
- Greenify ("freeze" apps, so they won't use any battery life)
- SwipeBack (just check it out)
- XuiMod (allows you to change pretty much every animation ((apps opening/closing, go to other "page" in an app, toasts etc etc)
There are lots more.

If i understand your reply the stock rom is the base then add or remove Xposed on top and play around from here,
@Neal
Exactly that, you can use Xposed to modify any Rom basically :silly:

As OP in this thread wrote I'm kinda in the same situation (on Pardus rom) and would like to revert G3 keyboard to G2 as I find it more functional for me.
Found an downloadable/installable apk but that just throws back at me "app is not installed". Any found a solution?

Thnx, tried the variant with the apk I downloaded but this didn't work. Keyboard doesn't show up in settings after reboot. Also renamed the G2 apk the same as G3 and backed up the G3 LGEIME.apk. Reboots in between didn't help. The phone just locks up when launching whatever app that utilize keyboard.
Will try your mentioned solution and download a stock rom with G2 keyboard. Getting back with results later.
Nope, extracting the LGEIME.apk (G2 keyboard) from Lightning Rom v3.0 (replacing, permissions and reboot) didn't do it either. The keyboard now just disappears.
Does anyone know how to get the option to save your OWN word when writing? I use the "phone keyboard" and not the qwerty one when writing and really dislike having to go into setting to add words not found in the dictionary (and yes I've updated it). Found that option in G2 but not in G3 keyboard, being able to save new words on-the-fly.

Idk what version Lightening ROM is (KK or jb) but you need to make sure to use the proper version of the keyboard (ie, if you're on KK it needs to be the KK LG keyboard apk, if on jb it needs to be jb LG keyboard apk). If you used the correct version then idk what else would work.

MODS for 4.4.2 on GT N8000/8010/8013

Now that we have 4.4.2 ROM (test build though) how about focus on getting goodies from Note10.1 (2014 Edition) like air command etc. As we know the features for the Note10.1 (2012 edition) would be limited even in the final build of this ROM it is upon the mighty developers here at XDA to make our very capable device perform its optimal.
The snote mod from 2014 note10.1 developed by eric-mod. This is not my work but I am simply putting all mods for convinience.
