No longer able to get Lte - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

For some reason since flashing the latest pure nexus my phone will not go past h+. I'll flash the latest vendor and get Lte for an hour and then poof it's gone.
Anyone have a link to the latest vendor downloads?

[Q] Moto X Pure MM and T-Mobile, Band 12 and VoLTE

This issue is RESOLVED!!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/help/howto-enable-band-12-moto-pure-mm-ota-t3267057
Anyone have band 12 working and if so, which ROM and method of flashing did you use?
I am stuck on band 4 but do have VoLTE showing in the settings, just unable to test it so far.
Thanks in advance!

Can you screenshot the VoLTE settings? I flashed the OTA (sideloaded) but I don't see an option for VoLTE unless it's the setting for "Enhanced 4G LTE Mode".

It is Enhanced 4G LTE Mode of in not mistaking.
I am still yet to see band 12 come up, even while in Orlando which I know has 12 active. Anyone know if there is some provisioning possibly missing?

I am also unable to get band 12 support in Houston on TMobile. Coworker with a Galaxy s6 can get band 12 but I cannot. Have tried the odexed debloated rooted version of MM, stock MM which I then flashed to be rooted and the TruPureXMM rom, but all of them show as using band 4 when checking using LTE Discovery.

Is your signal better? If the phone is using carrier aggregation between 4&12 then it is likely it would only does 4.

No signal improvement, but I'll check and see it it switches over to 12 at my work tomorrow. Coworkers S6 picks up band 12. Also, I went to A&M and am in Houston too. Do you happen to be around the memorial area and pick up Band 12?
So anyone actually with a custom rom is being able to access band12? So far looks like only people on stock not rooted have it.

I pickup band 12 in the memorial area at work. However, I am currently using the Nexus 6p. I am following this thread because I want to get back to the moto x, but need band 12. I want to switch, but need signal at work. I had the moto x at launch, but without any definite release of band 12 I returned it.

As far as I am seeing now people who got the OTA/sideloaded it without custom ROM are being able to access band12.
I tried both MM roms and my imei SV is always at 01 - just like on LP which does not allow me to accesss b12.
Anyone found a solution? makes me wonder how custom roms even odexed somehow disable band12.
Maybe once we get the factory images for 6.0 (like the indian firmware) have it already it should be ok or better.
@btafoya did you find a solution yet?

I have a stock rooted Odexed "slightly modified" MM with Band 12 working (and Android Pay).
(my SV is showing 02)
- Restore to stock manually (avoid restoring recovery and last 2 steps: erase user data and flash userdata.img) to avoid erasing you personal data and apps
- Flash OTA manually (in my case I do it in TWRP, stock recovery works too)
- Reboot
- Install and setup Android Pay
- Root using Chainfire's kernel autopatcher SuperSU 2.60
- Apply mods (no increasing ringtone)
- Reboot
- Setup AdAway
Root, No Ads, Band 12, Android Pay, all working.

Can you share clean twro backup? Maybe it would work for many people by simply restoring , I can't store to stock many people reported restore to stock only works with 5.1.1

T-mobile customers, which build are you on?

I guess google isn't going to send me the new update bc im stuck on the January security and the MMB29V build. Can I use Wug's toolkit to flash the MHCI9I that also give me the updated radio/baseband ?
I did have 2 updates when i unboxed and powered on few days ago but this is as far as it updated. Wondering which build everyone else is on via OTA
I am on tmobile as my carrier. Thanks, been a minute since I had a Nexus device
If your bootloader is unlocked, just flash the image from here using fastboot: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#angler. Make sure you read up on not losing your data when you do this. I usually flash all the img files one at a time, except userdata, don't flash that one. Don't need to flash cache. Don't flash recovery unless you're on stock recovery.
It will update your bootloader and radio.

Yea I'm aware I can manually flash the update but I actually also want to know if other tmobile customers are 3 updates back like myself.
I'll eventually just root, unlock and flash Pure nexus rom but for the time being I'm just gathering this info.
Not me. I am T-Mobile and rooted with no other special mods and I've been receiving the update notifications. Now I take measures to return my phone to stock when an update occurs before trying to apply it, but so far I am on the current March update

Hmm. Odd. I am bone stick right now and was just going to give it a week or so to populate and maybe push it out to me. The whole reason I picked up the 6p is bc I got tired of Samsungs lie and wait game with updates.
I recently just got a March update - probably last week.
I'm also T-Mobile and just got my phone a week ago, still on January security patch.

Yes the update is out in the wild, there's even factory images.
The 6P has the update but you'll have to wait till Google pushes it to your device or just learn how to flash Factory Images /OTA files if you're impatient.

Stuck on setup after flashing a rom

I have been switching Roms back and forth to see if I liked any but I liked stock better so I flashed a stock rom for moto x pure. It turned on with the Android setup wizard saying welcome and to select a language, after that it tells me to "Select Wi-Fi network" but no wifi networks are showing up and I know my wifi working cause I'm using it on my laptop, it only shows "ADD ANOTHER NETWORK" i press it but nothing happens and don't have a option to skip.

The last rom I was on was cyanogenmod and it was working fine then when I flashed a stock rom that's where the problem came in so I flashed it back to cyanogenmod and the problem came with it.
Sounds like it's time to fastboot back to stock and then start over... Seems to happen from time to time on this device with lots of flashing. Just find the latest factory image for your device, flash with fastboot and verify wifi/mobile data working, then flash TWRP and flash rom. Takes care of the issue most of the time.

I flashed it using twrp, I got the rom from " http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...rom-stock-rooted-debloated-x1575-6-0-t3262242 " if you go all the way down where it says "UPDATE 4:" I downloaded the rooted one, since I didn't have no way to get into my phone I followed step by step instructions from this website " http://rootmygalaxy.net/how-to-unroot-unbrick-moto-x-pure-edition-2015/ " and after finishing the problem was this there but now it deleted twrp
I had many issues trying to flash any of those builds weeks ago which resulted in hours of getting my phone back to a working state. I eventually had to have Motorola send me the latest images which I flashed via fastboot. After that everything worked fine.
After all that labor I went back to du and haven't had a single issue since. Motorola sure made it difficult.

HELP ME

okay guys so this is the dilemma...
i was rooted on 7.1.1 dp1 with the flashable pixel zip. I received the DP2 OTA somehow, tried to install but it just restarted the phone.. nothing changed.
I eventually got bored of it and tried flashing the resurrection ROM. however, i got stuck on the boot screen. so i unrooted and flashed the factory image off googles devs site. Now i want to go update to DP2, i have enrolled in the beta but still nothing comes up. i have unenrolled and enrolled heaps of times and nothing is happening.
thanks for any help
It's not immediate. Enroll in the beta again. Wait a couple of hours. Eventually it'll pop up. Reboot after a few hours if you still don't have it.
If all else fails, the DP2 image is available online at developer.android.com/preview/download.html if you don't get the OTA. Just download from the developer site, extract, put phone into fastboot mode, and then run the flashall.bat. This will flash your phone back to stock on developer preview 2. The DP2 build number is NPF26F (You said you had an image from the dev site, check the build number).

Nope! There's no need to be rooted! You do, however, need to have an unlocked bootloader. But I'd imagine you'd have that if you're flashing roms
And ah! I'm on the same page as you now about the google developers factory images site. With the android developers site I posted, just scroll down on that page and find the nexus 6P link and download that! This will wipe your data though.
Your problem originally that caused the DP2 update to not work was the pixel mod. If you have that flashed, the ota update doesn't work. I had the same problem. But the good news is, you can get pixel mods for DP2 too! I'm using one too.

Yeah, it doesn't hurt to try (unless it does). I did the same thing because I was curious about that. I figured it would update and wipe the pixel mod, but nope! I hope everything goes smoothly :good:
