Do a bit of astrophotography, with a tocam web cam, via a PC laptop. Quite a bit though to cart around, thought that the N7 would be a great low weight alternative. Have looked for apps, bit haven't found anything yet that does this. Anyone know of anything that might do the job?

I've seen some ip based webcam solutions, maybe you could forward the signal to your ip address and use it like that? Just a thought, but I don't know for sure if it can be accomplished.
I use a Dlink WiFi/network cam.
Works like a charm with my SIII and Nexus 7.

I know this is an old thread but has anyone figured out a solution for this? I would like to be able to use my nexus 7 as a monitor for a usb web cam via an otg cable. I found this video where someone hacked the kernel but that is way beyond me.

I've been using AppGameKit for a while.
Has anybody else tried it?
What do you think of it?
In my experience, it's quite good for prototyping apps, and even releases, although it might have some performance issues on slower phones
Can this mods(http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/themes-apps/mod-divergenmod-nogoogle-project-t3313709) run on cm13 for N6p?
Try it and find out? Just make a backup in case it ruins something.
Looks like someone tried on a 6P and got a bootloop.

I did it on my Nexus 5 and worked decent. Playstore/Gmail/YouTube worked. But it's hard to move away from some of the Google apps I use daily. I.e. keep/drive..

Title says it all.
Nope.
Why would anyone want to do this
I've been curious about this too... It would be really interesting to see how far android has come.
That's actually a cool idea haha. I wouldn't install it but I would watch a YouTube video of it lol. It would be cool for someone to do a side by side of the two.
I recently noticed that my Essential PH-1 has issues when I am using Google Translate (which I use a lot). Does anyone have a fix
video in case the one above does not work for you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6UmKqcvIUg
It's not a problem.
This is how translate always worked for WHEN YOU HEAR IT FOR THE SECOND TIME.
It's like this on my Nexus 6P and Huwaei p9
i am guessing, like with older people, it speaks slower the second time so we could better understand
