Any of you guys that are already in possession of the phone, is Samsung's Private Mode no longer availabe? I tried messing with it at Best Buy and could not find the option. Thanks in advance.
Not particularly sure but I believe it's only available when security is set on the device?
A display model will therefore not have security set and so will not have P-Mode enabled?

I don't know if it's about phone I tried (I have used demo phones in Samsung Store) but it sucks that Private Mode shortcut isn't in notifications menu anymore. It was very practical to use it that way in S5 and S6. I couldn't even find a way to edit menu and add it notifications menu.

You mean the browser private mode ? I used it at a store when I logged in to my Gmail and uploaded some pictures from the displayed S7 Edge to my account, so yes it is available (but it's something called "Secret" or so).

No, it's different than browsers. You can hide pics in that mode:

I received the phone last week as a pre-order through T-Mobile. My S7 Edge has Privacy Mode for hiding any files on the phone that you want behind a password or pin. I'm trying to figure out how to move them to the SD card at the moment.

Guys, relax...the private mode is there. But in the store you have a stripped down ''Store version" of the software.
Do not know about moving on to SD card.

No. Private Mode creates a hidden partition on your internal storage. It won't be movable to the SD card.
In the Gallery app select the photos/videos you want to make private and then tap on the MORE button and move to private. It will ask for your fingerprint or PIN to make the move. If you want to view the content later you select Private Mode from the notification bar, do a two finger drag down from the top and you will see the icon.

Did you able to turn on private mode wiht fingerprint? I could do that in S5 and S6 but I couldn't choose this in S7. If it's avaible for you, I will check stopped apps in Package Disabler Pro I did it when I cheched today, it was in menu now
Can anyone help me please.. desperate... I've forgotten my pin to private mode on S7 Edge... is there anyway to get this back. Samsung suggest a factory reset.. if I back up my phone.. will everything in private mode be backed up too? and also.. if that part is successful, will I be able to access the files after I restore? or will they be encrypted still?

I can't find an NFC option in tasker and I'm thinking because maybe since NFC is relatively new, then it might be awhile before we see it in there. Or maybe I'm just blind and overlooking the thing.
What I want tasker to do is turn on NFC when a program named Isis wallet is opened and turn it back off when it is closed. Since this is the only thing I use NFC for, I don't want to drain battery.
If anyone can help me I would appreciate it, but thanks either way.

Great idea, after seeing this I wanted to get it setup for myself. You're right, I didn't see a setting within Tasker to control the NFC state, however using the Secure Settings plug in, available in the Play Store I was able to get this working. You will also need to enable System+ within secure settings. Here are some screens of my setup...Tasker allows a lot of different implementations for the same actions so YMMV

Task- NFC On
Select Plug - in
Select Configuration
Scroll down to NFC and select, then select the 'NFC on' radial button and save... save Task
New Task- NFC Off, same process for NFC On, just select the 'NFC off' radial button this time and save Task
Set up new Profile for ISIS that will use the NFC on and NFC off tasks... Assuming that your already familiar with Tasker some quick screens should be enough.
I will probably add new Applications to this profile, or change the setup completely should I need to. But this should definitely work for your description.

Great thread! One minor note on this. Your device must be rooted to set this up since you need to enable system+ within secure settings app
For some bizarre reason they have decided to omit Notification Settings in the Settings Menu. If you have an Android Wear watch and you want to change Notification Priorities for certain apps, this is a must, as well as many of the other Notification Settings.
Anyway the short term fix is to install an app called QuickShortcutMaker from the Play Store, then open it, search for com.android.settings.Settings$NotificationSettingsActivity and create a Shortcut for it.
There are others shortcuts that may be useful, another post has mentioned it to get rid of the 2nd sim icon. If I find any others, I'll let you know, and if anyone else finds other useful ones, please post.

Is that any solution to change Notification fonts and colour as I it's unusable to read Gmail Notification ?
Nope, only way to improve that is to play around with the Themes - try changing them using the app that is included called Themes.

I use honor 7 and the problem appeared notifications do not work, but I know half the solution, when you click on the box in the bottom of the screen Close all programs from the bottom up, do not close every program alone

This is very confusing for typical android users, as this phone tries to save battery by closing all apps, which is a good thing for battery, but not for notifications, so it is very important for the apps that you want to receive notifications, you must protect them - go to Settings, Protected Apps, and turn on the ones you want to protect and stay alive.

its a csc issue. you can only have it back if you are rooted

I found alternative... u can download power toggle from playstore .. it offers an additional toggles line at the notification panel or u can add widget at home screen of mobile data
You can have it by flashing the official firmware which include AP CP BL but don't flash csc. This will give you the data toggle. Only problem is you won't be receiving any ota . And gear vr won't work. This won't trip Knox so no worries.
Once a new firmware comes just go back and flash everything including csc.
Coming from an LG G3 I'm also missing this toggle on my S7 edge.
What I did was add the usage manager widget to the home page and edge bar. It has a data toggle.
Same number of strokes to switch on and off as if it was on the quick connect menu. Maybe someone smart can isolate just the data toggle as a smaller widget.
What is usage manger ? Can u post screenshot or tell us how to get it ?
Hold your finger down on the home page. Then select widgets. Then swipe across until you see the usage manager widget. Drag it to the home page and that's it. If you want to add it to your edge menu then click + on the apps menu and select the usage manager app.

Well ... I dont have that for SM-G935W8 :/ ... if u want small data button, try power toggle!
I got suckered into their "Stock available and offer open for 30 minutes" and I bought one. I received it WITHOUT a battery for the drone and the clip for the cover on the control unit broke off as I opened it!
I immediately contacted the supplier (with a pic of the broken clip) and I got a reply for a pick of the box which I sent. THEY NOW NO LONGER REPLY and my eagerly anticipated drone is no more than a PAPERWEIGHT!
I have sent at least 10 mails and even threatened to place my experience on line - STILL NO REPLY. They did reply to my initial mal, but never again.

Hey guys. I have unlocked S8 which came with o2 sim card. While I was waiting for o2 to port my Vodafone number, I inserted my old Vodafone sim to use. Vodafone sim tool app appeared on menu which is normal when used with Vodafone sim. Today finally number ported and I started using o2 sim.
Now Vodafone app with android picture appeared in menu and can't remove it (see image).
I tried force stop, clear data, restart phone numerous time, nothing happens.
How can i delete it without reset?

Are you saying you long press on the icon and what? don't get the menu to uninstall? doesn't work? It may be because it is registered as system app. So if uninstall doesn't work, maybe disable will? If not you'll probably need root to get rid of it.
If I long press, I get following
1. Select multiple items
2. Add shortcut to home
3. Disable (blanked out)
4. App info
No uninstall option

Update home screen setting.
Just received the update.
Long press the empty space - go to home screen setting - about... then update it.

If you want to hide an app, try long press an empty spot on the home screen, then tap on "home screen settings", then go to hide apps. See if that will do it.

this amazing application simply gives you better and bigger Clipboard (bigger than the one that comes with the s8+)
my problem is that when i click on search in Clipboard, once i write something and click "ok" , the whole Clipboard closes without any errors or crashes, I can't use that function no matter what i do. and i can't find any app like this (I don't like Clipboards that stick on notification bar)
things I've tried to solve the problem:
i activated it in "accessibility" and tried to restart
tried to enable/disable hardware key monitoring (in the app)
tried to activate/deactivate "single paste" mode (in app)
not sure if i should disable these or not (im rooted)

I have downloaded from playstore native clipboard manager(ver 4.8) and Google(gboard) keyboard and all seems to work ok for me. No issues with app closing or searches
I am using the accessibility mode of the app.
I have not enabled app in exposed yet will try that side 2morrow to see what happens.
I am on s8 stock rom nougat 7.0
I see you have already put a post on the author's post so I won't send you his link.hope U get an answer.
I use an app called Catalog (playstore) for logging maybe this could help.
