Hello fellas, I have a LG G2 that had kitkat 4.4.2 before i start to try change the rom.
After read so many things here and there, i still have problems with the installation of TWRP.
Now i manage to put Lolipop 5.0.2 using the LG Flashtool 2014, because no other method worked, but i want to change for a clenaner one like cloudy or something.
But nothing works on my cellphone relative to TWRP. I made the root using LG One Clic.
I did the upgrade on the room couse I had no other choice and I decided to go stock on my cellphone...turns out that i downloaded a ROM suggested by SDK tool or another program from here (no sure) and it was a Lolipop not a kitkat as I thought it would be.
Now I want to know if anyone has an idea about how to install the TWRP so I can flash other roms easily.
---Autorec no worked;
---TWRP Manager says it doesn't have busybox and dont have my model on the list, i think I should use d802 as I read around;
---SDK Tool not worked;
I have no idea what to do next. Please, help me.

Just got my T-Mobile G2 a few days ago and have been looking around at the different ways of rooting it. I know the T-Mobile variant is harder to root and run a custom ROM on because IORoot doesn't work on the KitKat OTA, so I haven't updated it yet. Right now the phone is running the D80110C firmware.
What I'm asking for is a way of being able to get the phone to the point where I can flash any 4.4.2 ROM compatible with it (even if it needs patches). Looking at both dr87's guide and utesred's guide, I'm thinking I need to take the following steps:
1. Root the 4.2.2 D80110C firmware (currently on the phone) with IORoot.
2. Install latest version of TWRP. Need suggestions on how to do this.
3. Reboot into TWRP, wipe everything (minus internal storage), flash SmiLey497's 4.4.2 ROM and the SU file. I gotta do this all in one go or it will complicate things.
4. Reinstall TWRP using AutoRec.
5. Go on to flash something like CM11 or Mahdi-ROM.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
EDIT: Alright, I got it! Just followed my guide and the recovery install method suggested by XxZombiePikachu and everything worked great.
Can anyone assure me that this will work? Or even share a quick run down of what they did? Thanks!

that is all correct also install recovery guide
Ok, everything's rooted and running just fine! Installed CM11 and the KitKat modem with rotation fix.
For anyone who finds this thread in the future, here's the zip of stuff you need to flash TWRP the first time, just make sure to pick up IORoot25 as well, since that's what I used to for the adb. Second time around (once you have the rooted KitKat LG ROM installed), use AutoRec. Here's a link to the KitKat modem you might need if you flash a ROM and auto rotate doesn't work.
I'm not responsible if you screw up your device. This all worked for me, so I'm just sharing the steps for prosperity. Make sure you ready all the threads and guides I linked or mentioned, use OEM cables, use a USB 2.0 port that is actually connected to the motherboard in your PC (not a hub, pass-through, or front case port), as well as being focused at the task at hand. Disabling your anti-virus might help too, used to have to do this when rooting older phones, so it might still be necessary.
If this does work, have fun with your newly rooted LG G2 D801! :good:
I recently updated to lollipop! My phone is lg g2 d800. I previously had rooted with twrp on Kk. I used lg flash tool to flash back stock. I got it updated to lollipop ota. I have tried lg root zip. I do everything exact. Everything works until I put phone in download mode. I do the send command to choose correct port and type commands to execute. Nothing happens I just get a flashing cursor. I have Also tried lg one click root script it also freezes at firmware update. Any help would be appreciated. I have searched the forums these Methods seem to work for everyone else. I don't know what the problem is.

This is my first post, so I want to say "Hello" for everybody!
I need Your help. I bought a month ago smartphone LG G2 in korean version F320S. Now, I want install new soft CloudyG3 3.3 on my phone. But i can't update it to Android 5..It "says", android is newest. But it's stupid, i have KitKat on phone, and in net wrote, newest is Lollipop. When i trying installing Cloudy on KitKat, it write that file with CloudyRom is broken (i downloaded it two times). If i could download stock ROM from net, there isn't any problem, but link to stock soft on XDA for my version on F320S are "dead". For F320K and F320L are good, for my F320S isn't work. Can anyone will be so good and share with me an active link to my stock Lollipop firmware? Or will put it in share hosting, like a rapidshare.com or similar?
Well, don't install stock Lollipop, you don't need it in order to install Cloudy.
Assuming that you are on stock KitKat, unrooted - follow these steps:
1) Enable USB debugging and root the phone using DP tools
2) Find KitKat Autorec for F320S and blastagator TWRP 3.0.2-0 - copy the files to the phone, install and run Autorec like a normal app - if everything is successful it will boot TWRP 2.7 for you.
3) When you are in recovery mode - install TWRP 3.0.2-0, reboot the recovery.
4) Make a backup of the EFS and copy it to your computer, just in case.
5) Highly recommended - wipe data, cache, system, internal storage and reboot the recovery.
6) Copy the Cloudy ROM and the hybrid bootstack for F320S to your device and install them.
You're all set. It shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes.
Hi guys,
Im trying for week to install Cloudy G2 3.3 on my korean F320L model.
I was trying almost everything and all i do was to brick my phone dozen times.
So now i want someone to help me a bit.
What i tried?
1. Lollipop. I updated my stock JB room to Lollipop and then wanted to install This TWRP (f320l_lollipop.apk) but it was not working.
Everytime i was able to see an Android with open stomach and red triangle instead of TWRP. But if i install any other version of TWRP like for f320k or sth i wasnt able to install anything on it, cause my phone was crashing over and over. So i started for looking some other ways to install Cloudy G2.
2. KitKat. I updated stock JB android to KK 4.4. Then after Rooting phone i was able to install this TWRP (f320l_AutoRec.apk ) and go to recovery mode.
But the next step in All guides was to install blastgator from dorimanx and i choosed f320 version and install it. But after reebot to recovery nothing happens just black screen.
So i tried other version but everytime i failed.
Now im totally lost.
Can someone who runs Cloudy G2 3.3 on his korean LG G2 F320l how to do it?
What system i need. Witch TWRP install, Witch blastgator and what next.
Thanks in ADVANCE!
