Hi, experiencing battery life problem since my installation of custom software on my Note 4 N910G anyone have similar battery issue?
Yeap I do have similar issue. It is like takes a day to drop 50% from 100% and takes 1 or less hours to drop to zero. Mostly happens instantly. I tried to fix it by some apps, looks like they did something but it is not fixed. Also it charges fast till 70% than takes more than 2 hours to get to 100%. Using custom roms since i bought the phone. It is 1.5 years old

I had always battery problems. I have been using for 1.5 years.
1 month ago i installed b528 rom and nowadays, the charge goes around 4-5 hours. I did not make calibration yet.
I have to charge 4-5 times in a day.
Until %50, it goes very fast. After %50, it slows down.
I dont know what will i do. Maybe buying a battery 2050 mah can help me? I dont know what to do.
The best thing seems carrying 2-3 batteries with me those charged the before night. Please tell me some suggestions.

HOw are those?
I have a problem with battery too. Android system take more than 80% of battery usage. I tried many roms but no result
We are waiting some help.
Now i have made calibration. It seems cool but we will see.
Have similar Draining problems. It goes from 100-90% within in minutes. No WiFi or Data enabled.

Yes a little helped. Now it goes 4-5 hours but it is some stupid, it goes to %60 very fast, then jumps to %37 then after %15, it jumps to %3.
Until %60s, it goes very fast.I think i need new battery
I've seen multiple reports from spanish forums of people telling how the battery lasts 2 hours SOT at best since August, me included. I have tried reflashing and wiping everything but nothing works, people seems to have the same issues.
From MTK Engineer mode I get an average of 600-700mA power draw from battery, which is normal at least for me, but battery is lasting much lower. It doesn't feel like a gradual battery degradation, but my phone went from getting 3.5-4h of SoT to 2h at best in just 1 month
So, has anybody experienced the same issue?

I can confirm your feeling, I'm experiencing a performance degradation too. I've passed from 4-4,5h of SoT to 2h in the last two months, I think I'll change the battery soon.
So basically I have noticed this weird problem which happens on any ROM or stock and even custom or stock kernel. Whenever I fully discharge my phone from 100% to 0 till it you know completely shuts off and then recharge it I can get decent battery life of about 6 to 7 hours on screen time however if say I started re charging my phone from 2 or 5 or 10 % and then use it my SOT time seems to decrease to about 3 to 4 hours which sucks. Does anyone know what might be causing this ?

Historically this was a rough way to calibrate your battery although with lithium it's actually detrimental to the longevity of it.
From the years I've had mobile phones (early 90s) and the tests I've done over those years I've come to find that is how you use your phone that effects battery the most, en more so the content on your phone, so if you've got Twitter, Facebook. Snapchat, WhatsApp all running as well as apps which have push ads and live widgets, then your device will suffer for it.
Keeping the device light with only apps that you need and by not allowing it to completely die not over charging your battery will provide the best and longest experience.
I average 2 days battery with around 8-9 hours SOT, with some tweaks and a push I can get over 10 hours with 10 hours 50 minutes being my longest.
There should be no reason why charging from 0 or 10% would have a difference on your SOT.
Lighten the load, use a stock kernel and about overcharging your device and see how you get on

Currently on the latest no limits v10, stock kernel which is always the best fit stamina and stability
Unless you need to mod something like audio, in that case elemental would be.
Hello.
So i have had this issue for that past 6 months or so.
I bought my galaxy s8 upon release and the battery was great at the time. After some time of course i can expect the life to degrade. But it is horrible now.
I experimented with custom roms and stuff and it just got worse and worse and i tried a lot of different roms. My expected screen on time was 5 hours which is pretty normal.
After some time i only get like 3 hours a day and the standby drain was awful. Once a time i tried to go with stock rom and i got like 2 hours sot and a standby drain that was crazy. I use greenify to close apps in background.
My usage is normally messenger, facebook some times. Its mostly closed by greenify. I watch youtube browse the web and play simple games that doesnt need a lot of processing power to run.
Is it my battery thats very bad? I also experienced in the cold like 0 degrees celcious that my phone just died when it had like 25 percent.
Should i get battery replacement or whats the best option here? Currently running teamexykings lightrom for my galaxy s8 exynos
Same issue, I replaced the battery when fixing the cracked screen, didnt see any improvement even with the new battery
You can try if you want replacing the battery, but I believe its the software issue.
After the last update, the October patch, my Galaxy S8 went on to drain a lot of battery, about 10% every 30 minutes. The loading speed is still the same. This is something that never happened, because my phone usually spent 10% at 1 hours of use, and I'm a somewhat intense user. When using an app like Spotify the battery comes to be consumed almost completely in just a few hours. Is this problem only happening to me or is it recurring to other users? Is there any chance that in a new update this will improve or is it going to be like this from now on?
YES! Same is happening to me, horrible battery life!
