I feel like the X will be the worst seller of the three X series phones. The XA is arguably the best looking device and will be the cheapest, while the XP will have the most features, leaving the X in no man's land - overpriced and under spec'd.

Not much of a price drop... It's still priced like a top spec flagship device but is clearly a midrange device. Paying almost $700 USD for a midrange device is unheard of!

Get in, I was beginning to think three UK wouldn't be stocking the new Xperia X range. Going to replace my trusty M2 with a new Xperia x now I know they are stocking them.

Hello there guys!
Just some random chit-chat, but I'm having a bit of a dilemma
I've had my Xperia Neo since July 2011 now, and just today I've won an Xperia Arc S on the official Sony Ericsson Belgium Facebook-page... But ever since the CES show there's nothing I want but the Xperia S
Now I'm having a bit of a dilemma... I could pass on my Neo to my mom and switch to the Arc S (even though that's not really an upgrade), or I could just keep my Neo and pass on my Arc S, or I could sell my Arc S and pay up some more to get the Xperia S in two months.
What would you guys do?
Keep the Neo, sell the Arc S for €350. And wait till december, when you can buy an Xperia S for €350.
One thing: the Arc S is the last Sony Ericsson phone, maybe it will become a collectors item
+1
If you want another phone, make money out of the Arc S.

Because you can sell it as new, else I would have kept the Arc.

Sony prices in Japan
This falls in line with what I expected Sony Vaio laptops have always been really over priced but do have lush screens. Guess if you have the cash at least you have the option but its out of my range

NTT DoCoMo has officially released pricing for the Sony Xperia Z (SO-02E), due to launch in Japan on 9 February 2013. The price looks equivalent to that mooted in other parts of the world, coming in at 77,280 Yen (£545, €645, $860). Guys what do you think abot the price? Are they nominal or steep given the specs??!!

Well said, i think its gonna blow up a deep hole in our pocket for sure. Whatever Sony does perfect, they seem to mess up and lose out in the pricing factor (as they did in SL, Xperia ion, arc S) and such. They ll eventually take months to revise the price too, where in that mean time others may catch up!
It's been announced at $749 in australia (basically $750 US)... australia normally gets pretty bad pricing on phones, so there's hope it might not be too bad for the rest of the world.

Let's hope for the best
im from sydney and i spoke to the company thats offering the handset for $749 but they said thats obviously subject to change and that i might be condiderably cheaper than that i remember paying $520 for the xperia s when it first was released in oz so going by that why would it be that much more expensive i doubt it would be more than $700

Japanese list prices are meaningless because they are 100% subsidy phones.
Only available through the carrier, and even if you outright purchase the handset (vs installment plan) you get a large immediate subsidy kickback.
Yes, one way or the other, they ll bump up the price!

You don't need to post a new thread every time a price is released as there's a thread about prices already here.
Thanks

Some of you guys might remember me. I was here with the Z1 for a few months and then moved to the G2. But the Z2 seems to be a solid refinement of the original and I am seriously considering it especially since my contract is eligible for a upgrade. The G2, while being a solid phone, is still plastic and I just despise that fact. Shall wait for reviews on the Z2, specifically on the screen and camera, before making my decision but for the moment, it looks like my next device.

Lol prior to the iPhone 2G, I changed phones literally every month or less. Now I try to get through at least 4-6 months before changing.
Currently using XZ2.
Looking at XZ2 Premium's features and the price tag, I can't decide alone to buy it or not.
The question is,
Is the price worthy of it?
(just kidding about the kidney)
Just wait a couple months, It will come down in price by November to like $700 then it's worth it.
Also, it's worth the pre-order from amazon if you are looking for some bluetooth headphones. They are including Sony's super bluetooth earbuds with the pre-order.
For this price, it better have T-Mobile's band 71. Does anyone know if it does or not?

I'm planning to pre-order it (for the Bluetooth headset)
I really wish they would include a list of the bands supported. I think I would go ahead and purchase if I was certain that Verizon's LTE bands are supported. I guess that is the deciding factor for me at this point.

The premium will bring a higher res display and better cameras to the table. The display is more than fine on the xz2, the question is, are you willing to spend that much money for camera alone? Are you not satisfied with Xz2's camera?

Xz3 will be xz2 premium, minus the screen. I think it would be a safer choice. Btw, if you would like to see interesting stuff about the xz2, camera comparisons and so on, search our channel on YouTube: Pixel Peepers. You might enjoy it if you love xperia phones

Existing pictures make it one of the best out there, maybe the best in low light, which was always bad looking on Sony's devices.

I would definitely preorder if Verizon would give a statement on whether or not they are going to certify the device like the Compact or not. The Sony XZ2 Compact has the exact same bands it seems as the XZ2, but the XZ2 does not work because it is not “certified “. I’m hoping this one will be as it appears to have the same bands as the Compact. Does anyone have any inside information?

I pre-ordered with Amazon. I have owned the previous two Sony 4k phones and have loved them. I like the wireless charging and new camera. My only trepidation is the weight.
