Hi there,
I would like to know if someone knows from where this Music Player is coming from ... I just love it, but I could not find an equivalent player on the market ...
I have tried to recover the apk and then install it on another phone, but it doesn't work. I love the changing background color, and the most important feature is to view the folder structure
Hi, do you know whether there is any option to adjust sound (equalizer/SRS...)...can't find anything....
Thx for your reply!
No equalizer

Hi Folks, you are going to have to bear with a non-programmer, my question is with regard to album art and scrolling on WM. there are loads of threads on xda trying to emmulate the 'Apple' style scrolling media selector.
As most players do the same thing, (ie play music and video) creaing the scroll would seem to be a seperate issue. is there a plugin that allows thumnails to be visible on WM and combine this with touch control to allow the existing player to select and play the track/album/video?
this would give the element of selecting via the pics without the need to create a completely new player?
cheers for looking and would hope one of you folks could run with this idea
Chris
I agree completely. I just don't want a new player - wmp is fine for me and works well with Voice Command. I like the way it does album art and I think it syncs well with the desktop.
What we need is just something to launch the album or track in media player. The Library option in wmp needs fingers that are much smaller than mine!
The iContact application was perfect - a good scroller to find what you want and then go to the normal app.
Ideally it should look a bit like audio manager or the iphone-style.
Any programmers want to take this on?
temporary solution...
well i'm not a developper... me too I agree that windows media player is an excellent software as it also plays videos and mp4's which are also part of my music album... I've done a few things to make it seem like an iphone and more practical:
1. downloaded PlaylistMgr 0.6.2.1 (freeware), use it to create a playlist or edit it on my ppc. And i use the playlist as a shortcut on my today screen (i have spb4), this way it launches the play list directly and not have to select my music everytime. This includes all my music and videos
2. iphone skin for wmp from http://browse.deviantart.com/customization/skins/media/wmp/wmpppc/?order=9&alltime=yes
3. I didnt know how to increase the playlist font, because i agree its too small so i increased the system font. Now most fonts (not all) are bigger, which has some advantages and disadvantages in other software (I used tweaks for that)
4. Use ftouchflo which allows me to scroll in the playlist
if any ideas let me know

Yeah, I did the same, create playlists for my music, and use righttoleft launch with ftouchflo to open the folder that holds them.
Never liked working with libraries.
Can someone elaborate how to create a playlist? I use WMedia and organize my music and I created a play list on the desktop and copied it onto my storage card under the folder 'My playlists' but it doesn't appear on the phone when I update it. Is there a way to create a playlist on the stock wing?
i have just purchased a HTC p6300 (xda Argon) all in all a so-so device but has got a bit of software in it that works well as a media selector - HTC Audio manager, allows you to select albums by file and works well with touch flo. only problem is that i dont know how to find the route files to copy and extract.. has anyone else seen or tried this? and if so does anyone have the cab? would really like this for my Wizard as well as this seems to be one of the best/easiest media selectors i have seen
If i disable the Music and Photo Album tab, is it possible to access it from somewhere else ?
For example create a shortcut in the programs tab ?
Just use the file explorer, or try an alternate photo view. There should also be a link to add in album or photos as well
could you please suggest a suitable replacement to the two ?
personally i don't like WM player and the windows album is rather ugly.
I know a lot of people use CorePlayer for music, though I am not one of them. Music tab is good enough for me.
As for photos, I rarely look at photos on my device, so I can't really help you out there...
thanks, i'll take a look at core player
Try Microfi's Nitrogen for Music Playback.....though I'm not sure whether it works on Topaz...I haven't tried....an alha package I tried failed to install, so I left it altogether.... but give it a try...

The sense version of the players run fine and detect all my music but cannot run on this rom (at least it dosnt come preinstaled)
2) The camera aplication don't write photos to \dcim\100media, instead it use \dcim\camera. Any way to change this?

cheers...hope it is help...
Gallery enabled dont have separate options to music/image gallery
I got my music with pictures inside so dont work for me : /
Gallery enabled just create the .nomedia files I used to separate my old wm folders from android folders. I think third party music player will be my only solution. Thanks anyway!
well, i dont know what i've done but suddenly my music app and video app, the stock ones, cant find any music and video automatically anymore
i cant even set which folder to play, cant find how to set it up
using mortplayer, i can do such things and able to set the default folder for music
rock player needs to browse for video folder before playing it
the thing is, i actually liked the stock ones
any suggestion what should i do?
thanks before
anybody knows?
Hi,
I'm running on ParanoidAndroid and the default widget to control music over the lockscreen is from google music.
I would like to change this one by the widget provided by Sony, it's look like this http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8193/8083300548_60a34660eb.jpg but with only album arts, no bar navigation and directly on the lockscreen.
How I can get it on my Nexus 4 ? Do I need to install the walkman apk ? If yes, the sound will be changed ?
Maybe this one ? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38500108&postcount=121
Nobody ?
Hey buddy. Unfortunately getting what you want is not going to be simple!
You'd need to be good at Android systems programming as well as Java programming to do this. You'll need to modify the ROM/OS so that the default lockscreen widget for music is the Sony one, then modify that widget to work with the ROM, etc. The fact that Sony's music player is probably proprietary makes the situation even worse.
Bottom line, someone with skills will need to do this, and it will take some time. For now I guess you'll have to make do with the Play Music app, or download an alternative music player. There are lots of them on the Play Store and people have been very satisfied with them.
I personally don't mind the Play Music app that much, and use it as a daily driver for music
