Hi,
I just installed latest update from Samsung via Kies (Baseband: I9300XXLH1 / Build: IMM76D.I9300XXBLH1) but now I suddently have huge battery problems. It only takes a few hours for the battery to go from 100% to <10%. Prior to the update I could easily have it running for a whole day without recharging.
From the battery stats it looks like Google Services is the bad guy using the most battery. Since I have not changes anything in regards to the services, I suspect that some bug has been introduced.
Has any of you experienced this? is there a fix for this?
thansk
It should be some wake locks and sync issues, install bbs and GSam Battery Monitor and find out the culprit
《tapatalked from galaxy s3》
after a clean install of 4.4.3 i have experienced extreme battery drain from google services. the drain was so big that was more than the screen!!.
i don't know why this happened, but i had google now dissabled (from google now option not freezed, and everything else dissabled) BUT i had enabled location. It was eating away my battery like crazy. the same settings in 4.4.2 was not battery hungry at all.
I solved the problem by removing the permission of network based location on google search (i used android tuner but you can propably do it with appOps).
i know that 4.4.2 and 4.4.3 have no major differences but does anyone else experienced this? Is there any other way to stop the battery drain?
I noticed a huge battery drain since I updated my phone to marshmallow. Is there anybody having the same problems or a solution to solve the problem?
Wipe battery stats should help
Hi,
I wondered if anybody could shed some light. For the last few days I've noticed reduced battery life, and according to the system Battery display, the thing that is using most battery is "Bluetooth", taking around a third of the consumed battery. I installed GSAM, and it says that Bluetooth is using practically nothing, and it's "Phone Radio" taking around 60% of the consumed battery.
Consequently, I'm not sure which one is mis-reporting, and so am not sure where to start looking. I'm guessing either an app has been updated that causes the problem, or perhaps there's an environmental issue (problem with/change to the cell tower, maybe) that is causing the problem. Is there another battery monitor I could use that could help pinpoint the problem (I'm not rooted).
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Steve.

You are not alone i am also getting high battery drain.
I think it's related to the modem since October.Dec and latest January security patch update.. older firmware has no problem with cell standby or network related issues
My advice to you is try to downgrade your bootloader and modem to june-august
modem (DPE1-DPD1)
Bootloader (DPF3-DPG1)

Hello, as you saw in the title of the thread, my Nokia 6's TA-1033 SS that is Rooted on Android 7.1.2 battery is draining very fast, and the cause of that draining is "Screen", my luminosity is at 45-40%, my standby time is only at 1 min., and the most strange thing is that Android System says that i only have approximatively 6h left before my battery goes to 0% but my battery is at 92%, and it's still draining now for no reason while i'm writing this. I searched the cause of this drain but couldn't find it, i'm using Greenify but nothing changes. Maybe I need to unroot my phone and upgrade to Android Oreo ? I don't know, if some of you Nokia 6 users have already faced this problem and solved it, please help me, it's really annoying. Thanks.
