Hi
I have a problem with my S3 Neo baterry. Phone is around 1.5yo and recently got weird baterry issues. Baterry could go from 100% to 0% in 15 minutes, when having around 20-25% the screen acts weird and phone is just turning off. I took the baterry off and it was visibly bulky, so I bought a brand new one and thought the problem is gone. Unfortunately not, the same stuff happens with the new baterry.
Any ideas?
Phone is Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo, custom rom Android 5.1 from the beggining (had custom 5.0 at first).
Take it to service centre or to a repairing shop.

the LED does not turn GREEN at all..
I will try to remove the BATT for whole night today..
Any other trick meanwhile,
Also does any one know why does this happen firstly.
Is it because the processor just goes to DEEP SLEEP below 50MHz or there is a problem with IPL or some other stuipid thing
Mine is a G4.and had last installed the PDAViet Touch Flo v5
Any one els who can advice me on this.
Any one had the same error earlier!!
Well you might as well try with other battery. If the old one is not charging it might be dead... Have you tried measuring it?

I just dont understand what is the problem has any one els faced such a problem
Rip-prophet??
I just had a word with a service guy where I had given it for repairs!!
He informed me the problem has got notihng to do with the software aspect.
He confirmed its a hardware [email protected]@
Can any one recommed me where can I get the phone repaired in India>>Mumbai..
I Think I will buy a CHEAP nokia now as I dont have enough money to spend again on a expensive phone like this one!!
I feel that the processor has gone in a deep sleep any ways to retrive it to 195Mhz...
Or is it the problem with the IPL/SPL
pls HELP and pray for My PROPHET for its LONG LIFE
Its been almost 15days now and still my neo is not working..
The repaires guy told me that may be something is gone wrong mainly because I had dropped the phone from my hand some 5~10days back before it went DEAD.
Can u guys tell me how manny of u have LOST their PDA phone s after it failed to repair..with the reason for the failure like short circuit or just like mine!!
Can any one help me with the service manual for prophet
I dont know how true is this ...
What if i m not able to get it repaired at all here in Mumbai>>INDIA..
Any one can help me with the board of neo or some solution in repairs..
I feel that the PDA manufacturers must atleast make the phones RIGID or shock proof just like nokia..so it can take some jerk!!and we dont have to LOOSE our valuable phones..
I m afraid but I dont think I shall ever buy a PDA phone again...mainly because its too much expensive for their limited LIFE SPAN just like in my case..
Hey Mate,
When I first got my prophet, it did the same thing, no lights, nothing. I had the battery replaced with an NON-OFFICIAL prophet battery (i.e, A cheap unbranded one), and it went - it's running perfectly now too with WM6

Have you had any rebooting problems - ie phone reboots on its own?
If you send it in for warranty rember to flash back to stock rom and spl.
Stock ROM charged
Hi, well in fact i've restored the stock ROM (latest 1.56) and formated my micro sd card and prepared everything for sending it on repair. Actually, right now it's pluged to the wall charger and sincerely hoping that the HD melts over the night as the bottom back side and front side of the device are hot as fire... I've made some rechearch and it seams that it may be a problem with the battery itself, but most likely the motherboard of the device, specificaly the charging module. This is already the second HD i own, the first one had a similar problem, wich was replaced over warranty after two days, as it wouldn't boot by any means after two battery cicles (while charging it went off and died), but at the time they didn't gave a new wall charger, witch i'm starting to think it's were the problem is comming from...
Anyway, i'm sending the complete box and we'll see wath they say...
P.S. I'm allready thinking of buying a new phone, but i just can't find anything as good as the Touch HD (personnal opinion). Hardware side, the xperia x1 it's the same, as it's manufactured by HTC and complemented software for WM 6.1 from sony, so, once again, i'm afraid of starting to have the same problems with the x1 if i decide to buy it, spite i haven't found any related news... but....
Maybe wait for the Nokia N97 as i'm also a nokia user for long time and never had a singe problem with.
All of a sudden, my P3400's battery started going to zero and my phone restarts. I thought it to be a battery issue and purchased a new battery.
Now with the new battery the same issue is happening. It also restarts in middle of a call. The only difference is that with my old battery the call can no longer then 3 mins and with new battery I can make call till 6-7 mins.
Any one has a solution for this ?
I have tried using different ROMs but no success. It looks like i have buy a new phone itself
same problem ... and i have to pull the charger cable alittle bit from being fully injected into my phone to get my phone charged
i think its time to buy a New one...!
I have my samsung s4 rooted..My Phone was overheating and battery has a bump on it..& Bcz of it my battery drained suddenly like 60 at one min n thn it restarts automatically n battery become zero..now i changed the battery ..i thought battery will be the issue bt its still the same...Help:crying:
If the battery has a bump in it, then it is time to get a new one.
Changed it already
Anyone Alive?
I had an s4 that would get extremely hot when connected to a charger. Tried three different batteries but the phone would always get really hot, even too hot to touch any metal parts on the motherboard, in about a minute. Once I changed the motherboard, everything was fine so I think the problem is the motherboard, not the battery.
Everyone, please help me. I don't know what else to do. I am desperate here!!!
So, I've had my Galaxy Note 4 since the day they came out (October 24th, 2014), and I baby my phone.
Anyway, I've never dropped it, got it wet - nothing.
Last week, out of nowhere (I don't recall downloading anything out of the ordinary), my phone started getting extremely sluggish. I wiped the cache partition, but that didn't solve my issues.
Then, the phone was shutting down (abruptly, not powering down) out of nowhere. So, I pulled the battery, and did so many other recommended things.
Now, I cannot turn on my phone without first pulling the battery. Every so often, the phone shuts down (abruptly) and I have to pull the battery to start it up again.
I've changed batteries to back to my original battery, but that didn't help.
Then, every so often a screen comes on with the Android character saying, "Downloading. Do Not Turn Off Target !!"
Please help me!!! What can I do? What should I do?
I love this phone and it's gonna be a long time before the Galaxy Note 8 comes out!

Could be a faulty battery because the symptoms sounds similar to mine.
What happened to me was :
Phone would shut down randomly and would only switch on when plugged and charging.
Phone would shut down randomly and would only switch on after pulling out the battery.
Phone would randomly reboot.
Phone would discharge at a very quick pace. 20% for 5-20 minutes of usage.
Phone would only switch on when plugged into a power source but would bootloop when unplugged, even at 100%.
I managed to remedy the situation by buying a new battery. Although you did mentioned that you replaced it with the original battery, I suspect that there might be some sort of batch issue or something when it comes to the Note 4 battery. This current battery that I'm using is the third battery I bought for my Note 4 (because Samsung did not honour their warranty) and the only one that did not came from a Samsung authorised dealer and so far the issues seems to be gone. My phone stopped shutting down randomly and now I'm able to get 4 hour SOT with 12 hours of battery. Not that I'm suggesting you to get a fake battery but it's worth a try to see that it's not a motherboard issue.
My first two battery that came from Samsung and an authorised dealer both had issues within one year respectively and if you bring it to Samsung they will claim it's a motherboard issue and will charge you a few hundreds for a replacement so a new battery is worth a try.
So, I replaced my OEM battery with an Anker battery over a year ago. When this issue started, I put the OEM battery back in. The same issues occurred and the battery drained faster, so I put the Anker one back in.
Did adding a new battery fix your issues? It seems like you might have had the same issues as me.
Did that boot screen with the big Android guy come up on your phone as well?
Did you do a factory reset upon loading the new battery in?
I really love this phone, as you do, and I really want it to work and last!

Hi there,
I had exact the same problems. I think it is your flashmemory that is causing the problem. When the phone suddenly reboots into downloadmode you normally will see an error message in red saying "emmc read failure". This is your flashmemory. I ordered a new motherboard via alieexpress and replaced it myself, which is not difficult. You can find tutorial on youtube.
My phone is working perfect now.

Same issue here, started over a week ago, I have tried so many things, no results, you can't do anything, just gotta change the motherboard.
Same issues for me also. I replaced the battery, with no positive effect. The only thing to help is installing the app wake lock. Phone now works, but this does not solve the poor ram handling.
