There’s many smartwatches available on the market in pretty much any price range starting at around $10, but the cheaper smartwatches on the market tend feel rather cheap and are often made entirely out of plastic. Today we’re having a look at a smartwatch from Bluboo that were provided to me by Gearbest that’s trying to change that, let’s jump right into it!
Unboxing experience:
The watch itself comes in a rather plain cardboard box that doesn’t tell you much about the product and I’m not that impressed by it to be honest. Inside of the box is the watch itself inside of a small plastic bag, along with a MicroUSB-cable and a screen protector. The screen protector is a nice addition as these smartwatches tend to be prone to scratches, and it can be very hard to find screen protectors for these.
Build Quality:
The watch itself is made out of dark colored aluminum and along with that it comes with a strap made out of PU-leather, but I’m not really a fan of the strap. The front of the watch is covered by a display and the back of the watch is made out of plastic, and there’s a button along the edge of the watch. I really like the build quality of this watch and it gives off a good impression compared to other offerings in this price range.
Software Experience:
The software that runs on this watch is a custom operating system that’s rather basic, and it is present on many other models on the market, such as the RWatch that I reviewed a few months back. There’s plenty of apps on the watch itself such as a calling app (that use the built-in microphone and speaker), music control, remote camera and what not.
The major disadvantage with the software on the watch is the fact that you cannot really install any third party application as there’s a lack of support for that, but that’s acceptable as this watch is designed mostly for calls and retrieving notifications off your phone.
Audio Quality:
When it comes to the audio quality, I’m not really impressed as the sound is very thin and is definitely not the best I’ve heard on a smartwatch. It’s comparable to the RWatch that I reviewed and I suspect it may be the same speaker in the smartwatches. However, the audio quality is decent enough for basic phone calls, but if you want to listen to music you may want to get another smartwatch.
Summary:
So after using this watch now for about a week, I must say that I really like this watch and that’s mainly due to the nice build quality it offers for the price. The watch itself isn’t that much different from other affordable brands when it comes to the features, but the fact that it’s entirely made out of aluminum and feels sturdy makes that less of an issue. The battery life is comparable to other brands, and the speaker quality may not be the best, but this smartwatch is definitely worth to consider if you want an affordable smartwatch.

I bought it on Wednesday last minute because I am going on a 2 week road trip. I will develop this into a real review as I use it, I will also get some real pics as soon as possible.
First Impressions:
Plastic, not a big fan of plastic but overall it looks OK and feels OK. Uses knobs to loosen / tighten the arms as well as ball joint at base. It came in 2 pieces, the suction + arm, and the actual tablet holder piece. They join together by just slide and snapping in place.
Out of the box it did not fit the Iconia, but a quick unscrewing, pulling out, and re-screwing of the adjuster knobs fixed that. It is a slight struggle to just slip in the tab as the spring loaded wedge wants to push it out past the bottom arms so you have to push a little at the bottom is you slip it in, though it does hold very snugly once seated.
On quick inspection it seems none of the devices features where blocked, as I personally plan on doing time lapse video of driving sessions and stuff, I was really relieved to find the rear (and forward facing) camera both go UN-obstructed, as well as power, volume, Power Input, and SD. I did not check the USB ports but I am fairly sure they are also UN-obstructed.
The feet of the arm that show on the front of the device do seem to come in kind of far, but they do not go past the bevel at all, so there should be no screen blockage either.
The suction cup seems to be excellent, it came with a nice protective film over the suction cup, showing they at least think about making sure it's clean when you get it, and it's performance on initial testing seems very promising. The second I touched it to the glass it stuck on, and the locking tensioner for the suction cup really seems designed well for locking the suction to the glass, though I suspect it will eventually break considering its made of plastic, which could be a big flaw for the way it's designed.
Sofar I have only driven around the block with it mounted, and my overall feel was that it seemed kind of loose, though bear in mind I had not yet properly tightened everything down, which I feel will make a large difference.
I am optimistic about this mount, as it overall seems to be well built, though if anything it's flaw will be being made of plastic. I am happy to find it does indeed leave all features and functions of the tablet open and accessible, which makes it a very versatile mount for anything from GPS to video recording, to whatever.
I am about to embark on a 2 week road trip driving an Isuzu box truck from Northern Cali to San Diago, so I will get some really good real world usage out of this thing. I will make sure to update this review as I go along.
Motorola just announced a smart watch, and it looks much better then most out there. I think they are continuing to impress.

Finally a smart watch that looks like a watch. I'm still not sure I'm interested enough to actually get one but it certainly looks good.
I got a Pebble that's gonna be for sale soon.
Not sure I have a use for a smart watch either, but this is the first one that looks decent and could possibly interest me. I had a Motorola pagerwatch back in 1990, might be fun to have another Motorola watch.
I have a soft spot for high end watches, this one looks like it might float my boat.

can not wait. that matte black metal looks great.
Yes I just saw this too, and I love watches. It looks very nice but not sure if I will ever buy one. I think of watches as accessories that last for years and would be afraid of being stuck with dated tech a year later.

As cool as this looks... it's tough to get excited about it. This is Gen 1 hardware on a 0.9b platform. Given Google's "ship it now, ask questions later" approach to technology - I am guessing it is going to be a mess initially (hell, Android still hasn't gotten bluetooth right and its been how many years?).
But here's hoping I'm wrong...

i am willing to be a retail beta tester for this. lol.
Looks like I found my next smart watch this summer
This looks nice but a little big for my taste. I'll have to check it out when it releases. I have the Sony Smartwatch 1. It works great with the Moto X. I like being able to read all my text messages, emails and play songs (adjust volume as well), while driving. Your wrist is on the wheel anyway. It's a easy look to see messages, or tap to adjust music playback and volume.
No where can I find if this device is a stand alone one or has to be connected to the phone. Anyone knows? Thx!
I almost bought a smart watch but decided against it because I didn't care for the styling. If Motorola's looks as good as it does in the concept video I may buy one at release.

Pairing with your phone, did you get it working?
I've reviewed mine too here and no pairing problems. Just don't use playstore version but the version that you get when you scan the QR code on the watch.

For me 3 days with notifications, sleep tracker and alarm.
1 day with all day long active pedometer.
Looks like a nice clone of the Asus ZenWatch more than the Apple Watch.
Does it come with a special version of Android? Which OS?

I may keep an eye on this, it may come out useful for our project. Any info about the manufacturer or is this an "Alibaba" smartwatch?

The only thing i know about oukitel is that they also make phones, or atleast had one realesed prior to the A28.
Interesting, I found this information about them http://www.oukitel.cc/ and it seems that their first product is Smartphone.
I'll keep an eye on them for sure.
I'm rocking this Truly Smartdevice app right now rather than the Mediatek, and it's working pretty well. Also, I figured out how use the watch to ONLY control your phone's music, rather than pushing it to the watch's speaker:
On Google Play Music, press the icon in the middle and disable the option to "Cast" to your watch. Much better.
How about No.1 Watch S3 Vs No.1 S2 Vs No.1 G2 smartwatch ?
NO.1 S3 Newest News:
No.1 have made a last minute update to the chipset in their No.1 S3 Smartwatch to improve speed while maintaining a low retail price.

Phone maker gone Smartwatch maker No.1 have updated the processor on the No. S3 smartwatch to a Mediatek MT2502 processor. The switch in chipset has been made to enhance performance of the wearable while also offering better support to both iOS and Android smartphones.
The S3, like other Chinese watches, does not use Android Wear but a simple OS running on a Mediatek chipset to bring notifications and sports monitoring to your wrist. What is unlike other wearables though is the inclusion of a SIM card slot for native calls and room for an SD card so you can save files, music etc.
No.1 will release the S3 later this month for only $65, but if you wanted to get one for Free you can take a look at the giveaway the company are currently holding on their official website.
S3/T3
Has anyone brought the S3/T3? I've been looking for a smartwatch with HR for a while and i like the look of this one.
Nice watch, great deal for $60 USD

I received my No. 1 S3 last week and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The build is better than I had read (ex. I was told it was plastic, whereas it is metal) and there are many features preinstalled on the watch. The only criticism I have so far is that the watch will pair with your smartphone, but if you want to use its standalone calling features and you want to pair it with a Bluetooth headset (to avoid the **** Tracey talking to a watch feeling), this does not work; it pairs but the sound still comes through the watch.
As for aesthetics, my wife who thinks people who wear smartwatches all look like nerds, actually thinks this watch looks nice and is willing to be seen in public with me.
Honor/Huawei phones, especially the flagship models, have kind of made a name for themselves as tech "beasts", jam-packed with the latest technology, cutting-edge hardware, almighty cameras, and fancy designs. I've been using Huawei or Honor phones for several years now, but I'd never call myself techy, and sometimes I'm still a bit daunted by all the advanced tech they announce – okay it sounds super cool, but I won't be needing all that in my life.
That said, for the things I do use my phone for (like taking photos), I'm a bit of a perfectionist. When something doesn't quite turn out the way I want it to, I'll keeping playing around with the settings until the result is exactly how I'm imagining it.
As it turns out, a lot of this "beast" tech was made for people just like me (perfectionists who want things to be just that little bit better) and it's much easier to find and use than I imagined. Here's a couple of super useful features I discovered on the recently released Huawei Mate 20 and Honor Magic 2. I think everyone should play around with them:
Wide angle photography
I'm not a pro photographer, but I love taking pictures – it's a nice way to preserve memories, otherwise I'd forget about all the fun things I did last month! I often find, though, that the camera's view is too small, and I can't fit everything I want in an image. Especially when I'm shooting landscapes, or really tall or wide buildings.
I've tried using panorama to get around this issue, but I always find the stitching is a bit uneven and parts of the photo look really distorted.

OK, so this example isn't quite so bad because I corrected it with some post editing like I do with a lot of my photos (did I mention I was a perfectionist?) But if you've ever tried shooting a street or a narrow stream, or even just try googling "panorama distortion", you'll know what I mean.
Anyway, this is why I'm super thrilled with the new wide-angle lens! As its name suggests, you can see a wider angle of view through it, i.e. you can fit more into the frame. It shows up as "0.6x" on the interface – basically because it's like zooming out to under 1x, as opposed to zooming in to 2x or 5x.
Here're some images I took on a recent trip to China, so you can see what I mean:
I know it looks incredible, and even seemingly undoable. But this is real magic – you can see how much more view is included under a wide angle lens. It's really useful for landscapes and architecture, when the scene is too broad or when you can't go too far from the subject. It can actually be used for street photography and portraits too, if you know how. Google it for inspiration, and then you've just got to try it, play with the camera. You might be surprised by how professional the results look!
As I mentioned, it's way quicker and easier to use than panorama too. One touch on the screen will do the trick:
