128MB ROM, 32MB RAM
250mAh battery

I have one on the way from Tiny Deals, 8-12 days delivery.
I will post first impressions when it arrives.

clone of the apple watch?
more like a clone of the zenwatch...

Still not received mine yet, I have watched your video and you seem to have problems
Pairing with your phone, did you get it working?

I've reviewed mine too here and no pairing problems. Just don't use playstore version but the version that you get when you scan the QR code on the watch.

The watch's original price is $56.99. Everyday from 27-08 to 02-09 the first buyer just needs to spend $9.90 on watch, and next 20 buyers need to spend $39.99 on the watch.

What's the battery running duration?

For me 3 days with notifications, sleep tracker and alarm.
1 day with all day long active pedometer.

Looks like a nice clone of the Asus ZenWatch more than the Apple Watch.
Does it come with a special version of Android? Which OS?

I may keep an eye on this, it may come out useful for our project. Any info about the manufacturer or is this an "Alibaba" smartwatch?

The only thing i know about oukitel is that they also make phones, or atleast had one realesed prior to the A28.

Interesting, I found this information about them http://www.oukitel.cc/ and it seems that their first product is Smartphone.
I'll keep an eye on them for sure.

I'm rocking this Truly Smartdevice app right now rather than the Mediatek, and it's working pretty well. Also, I figured out how use the watch to ONLY control your phone's music, rather than pushing it to the watch's speaker:
On Google Play Music, press the icon in the middle and disable the option to "Cast" to your watch. Much better.

As someone who has the misfortune of owning one of these turds, I'm going to say that this is possibly the worst consumer product of any type I've ever owned. Seriously, if anyone is thinking about buying one, I'd send you mine for cost of doing to free up space in my junk drawer.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
EDIT: For anyone thinking about taking me up on the offer -- it's already spoken for, sorry! But really all you're missing out on is disappointment!
That watch is crap just like those that promote it with youtube videos or comments around amazon and forums like this one.

Mine works great. The latest LiveView software has made a huge improvement in connection reliability.
the bigger question, can it run cm?
i might look into buying one just for teh giggles of having an android powered watch
edit: seems like everywhere has it for around 25 bucks
edit2: seems there is a reason, this thing is a hunk of crap and the better version 2 is 150 bucks, same as the motoactv

Report: Google Smartwatch to launch at IO 2014 in June, made by LG

According to a knower of things,*@evleaks, Google’s*long rumored entry*into the budding smartwatch market will come at this year’s Google IO in June and will be manufactured by LG.
We haven’t heard much from Google regarding a smartwatch, often leaving tech bloggers and enthusiasts to piece the puzzle together over the past year.**We know that last year*Google purchased WIMM, a smartwatch manufacturer, and quietly added the wearable company into the Android fold. We also know that Google has beenawarded a patent*or two for*smartwatches*in the past, slowly adding to the intellectual property needed for successful entry into this market.
As for LG as the manufacturer of choice, LG and Google have a good history together, producing televisions with Google TV, the**Nexus 4, and the recent**Nexus 5. In fact, it was reported a year ago that LG was getting into the*Android smartwatch craze, so this little*gem*should be right up LG’s alley.

Very interested in this. I hope they tweak Google Now to not be so internet-centric and to be a little more like a personal assistant. I don't know how an internet-centric Google Now will play out on a smartwatch.

It works fine on the Galaxy Gear on Null. I love it, use it all the time on day to day things. It does have great audio responses to questions but your right, it's no Siri.
I read in engadget a report and until the next year google don't start with is own watch. I can't wait to the next year, I want a watch now. I like the SmartQ Z because is cheap but...

Moto 360 smart watch announced to go with your Moto X

Motorola just announced a smart watch, and it looks much better then most out there. I think they are continuing to impress.

Finally a smart watch that looks like a watch. I'm still not sure I'm interested enough to actually get one but it certainly looks good.
I got a Pebble that's gonna be for sale soon.
Not sure I have a use for a smart watch either, but this is the first one that looks decent and could possibly interest me. I had a Motorola pagerwatch back in 1990, might be fun to have another Motorola watch.
I have a soft spot for high end watches, this one looks like it might float my boat.
Tapatalked from my G PAD 8.3
can not wait. that matte black metal looks great.
Yes I just saw this too, and I love watches. It looks very nice but not sure if I will ever buy one. I think of watches as accessories that last for years and would be afraid of being stuck with dated tech a year later.

As cool as this looks... it's tough to get excited about it. This is Gen 1 hardware on a 0.9b platform. Given Google's "ship it now, ask questions later" approach to technology - I am guessing it is going to be a mess initially (hell, Android still hasn't gotten bluetooth right and its been how many years?).
But here's hoping I'm wrong...

i am willing to be a retail beta tester for this. lol.
Looks like I found my next smart watch this summer
This looks nice but a little big for my taste. I'll have to check it out when it releases. I have the Sony Smartwatch 1. It works great with the Moto X. I like being able to read all my text messages, emails and play songs (adjust volume as well), while driving. Your wrist is on the wheel anyway. It's a easy look to see messages, or tap to adjust music playback and volume.
No where can I find if this device is a stand alone one or has to be connected to the phone. Anyone knows? Thx!
I almost bought a smart watch but decided against it because I didn't care for the styling. If Motorola's looks as good as it does in the concept video I may buy one at release.

Installing AW on a HP Veer

I got a Veer laying around doing nothing, but since its pretty small I was thinking about installing AW on it. There were a couple android builds for it an it ran wheel but the small screen made it a pain to use. The problem here is getting AW to work on it.

It has a snapdragon S2 MSM7230 and 512MB of RAM which is not that far from the Gwatch, maybe I could use a build from that one?. Problem could be the screen which is 320 x 400 pixels, while all the other AW watches have a 1:1 ratio with resolutions of 280x280 or 320x320.
I don't expect the qwerty keyboard to work but I would like the mic and speaker so I can write messages and stuff. I think it had NFC but I don't know if that and cameras are supported by AW yet.
Anyone got a Veer too? you can pick one for next to nothing.

I'd be interested on Android Wear on the HP Veer too!
I love my veer from the first sight and If there would be a whatsapp messenger, I would use it forever.
So please, let it happen!!!
http://forums.webosnation.com/hp-veer/328606-android-veer-rooted-play-store-etc.html
It appears work has been done to put Android on the Veer. Now, the real question is, how recent a build can we load? 4.4 full only asked for 512MB of RAM, apparently, so the possibility of running Wear is more than likely, given even now, most of the popular Wear watches still use 512 (with only the ones with a mobile radio asking for 768MB).
This is also noting some existing ROMs. There was Quattrimus CyanogenMod 9 which basically got ICS to work on a variety of low-end LG devices, with only 256MB of RAM. So if you can get a source of AW and just work with some of the drivers on the Veer, it should be possible to patch things up and get most everything working.
A few curiosities though...
Does AW require Bluetooth 4.0 LE? Would it be able to use the wi-fi for Cloud Sync? Would AW be able to run low energy enough for the Veer? Is the chipset efficient enough to do it?

Phone maker gone Smartwatch maker No.1 have updated the processor on the No. S3 smartwatch to a Mediatek MT2502 processor. The switch in chipset has been made to enhance performance of the wearable while also offering better support to both iOS and Android smartphones.
The S3, like other Chinese watches, does not use Android Wear but a simple OS running on a Mediatek chipset to bring notifications and sports monitoring to your wrist. What is unlike other wearables though is the inclusion of a SIM card slot for native calls and room for an SD card so you can save files, music etc.
No.1 will release the S3 later this month for only $65, but if you wanted to get one for Free you can take a look at the giveaway the company are currently holding on their official website.
S3/T3
Has anyone brought the S3/T3? I've been looking for a smartwatch with HR for a while and i like the look of this one.

I received my No. 1 S3 last week and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The build is better than I had read (ex. I was told it was plastic, whereas it is metal) and there are many features preinstalled on the watch. The only criticism I have so far is that the watch will pair with your smartphone, but if you want to use its standalone calling features and you want to pair it with a Bluetooth headset (to avoid the **** Tracey talking to a watch feeling), this does not work; it pairs but the sound still comes through the watch.
As for aesthetics, my wife who thinks people who wear smartwatches all look like nerds, actually thinks this watch looks nice and is willing to be seen in public with me.
