[Q] Is this the default kitkat UI?

Hi,
I have just installed a custom kitkat ROM for my N9005, I was wondering if the side/corner menu shown here in the attach picture is kitkat's default feature. If so, how can I disable this? Its kinda annoying because I keep activating it by accident whenever I touch the corner of my screen.

This feature is called a Pie Menu and I think can be disabled in the settings somewhere. Sorry haven't installed a cyanogen/aosp-based rom in a while so not very familiar where to find the exact setting.

And see in Settings>General>Users
Only work with stock rom not on the rom which is now in develoment for some reason

yes it shows after you enable 2nd user or a guest
but it is unuseable since it is overlayed bythe togglebutton. maybe i will try to fix that to be at the left next to the settings icon later on :good:

cannot go in to settings of guest user

i didnt catch that fully.
so you get unfortuantly stopped error when you go to settings or when you go to "users" menu of settings.
i only own a n7505 - works fine here as u can see in SS

Error occurs when I tap the circular settings icon next to guest. That icon is also there in your screen shot.

unfortunatly TouchWiz 4.3 has no Multiuser option which is enableable as i know...
anyway have you tried This one?

i also know a mod for 4.4 (not sure if work wth 4.3)
1) download sqlite editor open it
2)go to files tab
3) go to directory data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
4)click on system
5)search for line notifications_panel_active_app_list_for_reset and click on edit
6)go to values area and type in MultiUserMode; to the first line
7)go to notification toggle settings and click reset.
after that u should get a new multiuser toggle next to the wifi toggle

I tried and got a bricked device....... i did as u said
.. Anyways i had to flash the whole firmware again and lose my root access.

Are you using a n7505 or N750?
Because as I said many times I can confirm it only on N7505 that it is working.

So Actually its only a build.prop edit so there are 2 files; one modified build.prop and one stock build.prop to restore.
But you should take a nandroid backup anyway just in case if the restore file did not work.

Have you fixed that overlaying of User Icon Over Toggle menu button/ which shows others available options in notification bar.!

Removed File for N750 due to many problem reports.
U can ty to flash the one for N7505 it may work but it will defenetly fake your system informaton.
Take a nandroid backup before and just test it
if it works tell me please

Hide Navigation Bar

Hi!
Has anyone managed to hide the navigation bar?
I've tryed to edit build.prop adding qemu.hw.mainkeys=1 but nothing happened after reboot. Also I've tryed different software with the same result.

I just followed this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/ne...navbar-height-changer-android-nougat-t3447956 and navbar is gone forever. I will check battery drain but hopefully it would be insignificant.

On my new device with german stock firmware, the navigation bar sometimes hide without any modification! i´ve no idea why but after that, only a reboot brings back the navigation bar...

Thats weird, did you wipe after flashing?

Is your device rooted?

My does the same, not rooted, locked. Also German stock.

It is

odd. I never seen that. I usually stick to Nordic combined as its where I belong.

Hi!, trying to flash this release, zip cant flash firmware cuz twrp is unable to mount it (no such volume). The installation finishes well (system and so is installed with no issues), and after flashing lazy-flasher the rom is booting.
Why I cant install firmware updates? is there any way to fix it?

it erased all my files and google cam does not work and sucks *****

I dirty flashed it, maybe clean flash will solve some of these issues.
List of Bugs on MIUI 10 Global Beta 8.7.3 :
- Wallpaper reset after reboot
- Delay fingerprint unlock
- Notification snooze not working (I think they will remove this as it is Android O feature not for N)
- Notification shade UI glitches and inconsistencies (Font and content placing looks little bit weird)
- Bad performance in Second Space

Unexpected error
libfs_mgr dt_stab fail to mount device on system partition
Do to OTA via VPN and forgotten OEM unlocking bootloader option.
But otherwise its working flawlessly except keyboard lag and some statusbar colors missmatch with app shifting.
There is a way to force ota via VPN
It must be hard reseted without any wifi or account installed and no sim cards. First setup language Netherlands, timezone Brussels, no account no wifi ,no gps , disable google play store and download vpn apk from internet to pc, transfer from pc to phone, install vpn apk. Enable wifi and set VPN to Netherland it will force update. Dont forget to enable developer options and enable oem unlocking before doing this!

Battery consumption is a disaster. Was able to get 300mah on SOT which is 10h.now its jumping all the way to 800-900mah i hope its adaptive battery learning

i have recently update nokia 5 on pie but there is no pro mode or no swipe up home screen gesture is there any bug or may disable in this build...

There are plenty of bugs
So far fingerprint is automatically deleted with battery 0.
Mobile network is restarting every time you get in mobile network options (apn) etc.
Statusbar icons and text miss shifting between white and dark color. Keyboard lag opening and text not always.
Battery not optimized
Dark mode in developer mode not working with battery saver
