If you are on the pro 500gb, you can't root right now on marshmellow. Only the 16gb shields
that is correct no recovery, no showing nothing in twrp

Hi im an Honor 7 PLK-L01 user from the middle east. Im currently using C185B380 and now wish to upgrade to B382. I found 2 versions of C185B382 on MT Finder App and downloaded the OTA version. I copied the UPDATE.app to the 'dload' folder on the sd card and restarted the phone by pressing the VOLUME UP + VOLUME DOWN + POWER buttons at the same time. The phone restarted and an update was installed. But when i checked the firmware of my phone, its still on B380. :s
What did i do wrong? need help. Thanks
i think 3 button only works if you have the full update file not the ota? not 100% sure if thats correct tho

twrp works without root but you need an unlocked bootloader... unlocking wipes your data as well

There is but it can seriously mess your phone. Apps such as kingroot can root your device without having you to unlock the phone but these apps have a bad reputation. So recommend to root by classical method.

Hi
Doing the classic method do I lose my warranty? Unlocking bootloader Huawei knows I've rooted my device...

Either way you will lose warranty. Using kingroot etc will void your warranty.
Only software warranty will be void not hardware.

No. You won't be able to update via ota (over the air) nor you will be able to update via Update.APP. However you can flash update.zip via twrp. You can find it on xda. It will erase your data though.

Thank you, the tutorial you linked worked and my phone is now rooted. Do you have a list of bloatware that is okay to remove, as in, can I remove beaming service?
