Vibe X3 doesn't have it's own dedicated XDA forum yet so I was thinking weather we will be able to use the Custom ROMs from Moto X Style in Vibe X3 since they are from the same OEM with same chipset or will it be atleast easy to modify the ROMs from here to make them work on Vibe X3?

Hi, I would like to buy some smartwatch, so I ask you to give some reviews if you are using any.
i'm using moto 360 2nd gen with redmi 2 crDroid ROM, it works fine. the only thing i can't use right now is remote camera from my moto 360, but i had that issue in my previous phone too, redmi 1s CM13, maybe it's because of the ROM.
I have an app for all Moto devices.
MotoDisplay handwave
Due to some reason, this app isn't working on E3 devices. It would be extremely helpful if someone uploaded the Stock Moto Display apk here so that I can take a look.
You can get the apk via any app on play store that is used for app backup. I use ES Explorer.
Please help me get this device supported. Thanks.
Moto E3 comes with a Mediatek chipset and just like Moto M, is not engineered by Motorola. Hence like other Lenovo phones, it does not have Moto display sensor and nor the Moto display feature.
It uses notification led.
So, your app won't work on it and also it won't work on the newly launched Moto M.

What?! Are you sure? I think I saw Moto Display on an E3. Maybe that wasn't an E3, or I saw something else.
But why is everyone requesting me to update this app to get this device supported?
I will have to check things out. Thanks for your reply.
May be that was a G3 or G4 play as both are identical to E3.
I am sure E3 doesn't have moto display as I had the device and I myself tried porting Moto display & other moto apps but they didn't work due to Mediatek chipset.
Yes that must have been G4 or G4 Play. Also no video reviews of E3 mention of Moto Display in the device.
Can we install ROM of a device which has same specification as our mobile.
Since Redmi 2, Galaxy J5 (2015) & Lenovo a6000 has somewhat same specification....so can we??
If not why???

No. Even if some of the specifications, say the processor and ram, are same; their are other hardware in the phone which are completely different. For e.g., even if any two devices have same camera of 8MP, same aperture and all, but still if the manufacturer of that particular camera sensor is different, they both will require different drivers to run. Same goes with flashlight, proximity sensor, fingerprint sensor and other hardware you can think of. While having the same SoC allows the porting of ROMs and hence ROMs from Redmi 2 m, for e.g., can be ported to the Lenovo A6000/Plus.
Cheers!!
Is it only me or is it for all that moto g4 plus gives a very low frame rate when using custom roms while the same rom works flawlessly on some other device? For eg i have both moto g4 plus and lenovo vibe k5 plus. Though vibe has less memory and less powerful cpu as compared to moto, still RRN works better on vibe as compared to that on moto g4 plus.
If there is any solution for screen rate fix suggestions are welcome.

Does anyone have a port of the Moto Camera 2 (Moto G6) for Moto Z2 Play?
I also want this badly.
