Hello, I suppose that you have seen many subjects of this style, but I can’t find the solution to my problem looking for in this forum:
A friend gave me his Qtek S200 (that bought with a supply of Vodafone) because a day, the Pocket PC didn’t work, so he tried to take it to the Technical Service, but the Technical Service said to him that they could not repair it because was of Vodafone Company :S, something that I follow without understanding... Then, seeing that it did not have solution, he gave me the Pocket PC and he buy another one.
I saw in the beginning that it did not respond to any key, later I looked for in the manual and I did hard-Reset to him, left the screen where it said to me that send pressed to do hard-reset and when I pressed the button, it left "Formating FAT, Error format" (or something like that) and appeared the screen of Vodafone, later appeared a white screen and began to blink. I could not leave there until I did not clear the battery.
At the end I found like entering way to bootloader, so I entered and it left the version of the ROM. I looked for and I found the ROMs to be able to recover it, that was: "New ROM Ideal Wm5 to later pass to WM6" and the ROM that was official of Vodafone. I installed first the one of Vodafone, came two ROMs to install, the first installation was made well, and second also. When finishing, the program said to me that everything had come out well, but the Pocket PC remained with the black screen and it did not ignite with the button of Power:S. I did a soft-reset to him and it left the screen to me bootloader with the version of the ROM, when one assumed that had to start Windows Mobile 5 with normality. I did hard-reset to him and format returned to me to leave the one "Error". Later I decided to install the ROM "New Ideal ROM WM5 to happen later to WM6", the process began correctly, and when it went as much to the 100% in the computer as in the PDA, the Pocket PC turn off but the computer left an errpr. And the Pocket PC doesn’t respond since then, neither with a soft-reset, nor hard-reset nor entering way to bootloader... And I don’t know what to do!

Entonces, viendo que no tenía solución, se compró otra y me dio a mi esta con el típico dicho de "si la arreglas pa ti" xD.
Total que me puse a trastear con ella, al principio vi que no respondía a ninguna tecla, después busqué en el manual y le hice un hard-Reset, salía la pantalla donde me decía que pulsara send para hacer el hard-reset y cuando le daba, me salía "Formating FAT, Error format" (o algo así) y aparecía la pantalla de Vodafone, después una pantalla en blanco y empezaba a parpadear. No podía salir de ahí hasta que no le quitara la batería.
Al final encontré como entrar en modo bootloader, entré y me salieron las tres rallas de colores y la versión de la ROM, busqué y encontré las ROMs para poder recuperarla, que fueron: "Nuevo ROM Wm5 Ideal para pasar después a WM6" y la ROM que era oficial de Vodafone.
Instalé primero la de Vodafone, venían dos ROMs para instalar, la primera instalación se hizo bien, y la segunda también. Al terminar, el programa me decía que todo había salido bien, pero la Pda se quedaba con la pantalla en negro y no encendía con el boton de Power :S. Le hice un soft-reset y me salió la pantalla de bootloader con la versión de la ROM, cuando se suponía que tenía que arrancar Windows Mobile 5 con normalidad :S. Le hice un hard-reset y me volvió a salir lo de "Error format".
Más tarde decidí instalar la ROM "Nuevo ROM WM5 Ideal para pasar después a WM6", se inició el proceso correctamente, y cuando iba al 100% tanto en el ordenador como en la PDA, se me apagó la PDA :S pero en el ordenador me salió un error dándome la opción a recuperar. Y la PDA no volvió a responder desde entonces, ni con un soft-reset, ni hard-reset ni entrando en modo bootloader... Y no se que hacer!!!
Después de esta larga charla que espero alguien haya leído, me gustaría que alguien pudiese ayudarme, a pesar de que la Qtek no es mía, pues me haría ilusión que funcionase!

When you are in bootloader, what is the text displayed? There should be a number next to IPL, and one next to SPL.

ENGLISH VERSION FOR 1 LANGUAGE USERS
It seems that Telcel (Mexican mobile provider) started to block Skype, few days ago the software stop working especifically with 3G, I still can connect trough Wifi or USB (using pc internet).
There's a patch for the iPhone to cheat this restriction, is there one for Windows Mobile 6.1? or Xperia?
We should not allow any company to be able to restrict stuff like this, isn't enough the ammount we pay for unlimited internet? We should not be forced to use their phone services thats up to us. I hope someone can help on this issue, THANKS.
And please, it's very common for some users to answer a little aggresive to other users that sometimes write something dumb, not everyone stays sit on a computer most part of the day, please, just reply kindly something to help, not just something that is another waste of time.

that isn't the issue, and that was pretty offensive.
the issue is this is an English speaking forum, English only.

Actually the application works perfect, i can still connect trough Wifi or USB, its just not working with 3G, I think Telcel (Mexico provider) its blocking VoIP services trough their network.
As for iPhone, theres a patch for skype to make it think, your are trough other network, i would like to know if theres something similar for Xperia.

I've heard of other companies do that, so I wouldn't be suprised about that.

I hardly find that offensive, you seem to perpectly speak english yet the fact that this is an english speaking community totally escapes you?
Furthermore, insisting that Spanish is supposed to be a second language to everyone is very shortsighted. For a lot of people (including me) English IS the second language.

I travel a lot in Northeast of Mexico, SLP, Tams, AGS, Zacs, Chih, Coah, N. L., DGO, and I been noticed the connection problem with 3G from Telcel it's only in Mexico City.

Maybe is only in region 9 : Mexico, Morelos, Puebla, Edo Mex.
That would be nice to know, maybe there will be a way to avoid it then, thanks for that info, ill write enything new i get, but right now i have no news.

Ill resumen this in english, basically i lost the demand, they came very prepotent saying they dont care of me or any other customer, and that there will not any negociation.
They arguments was that this "sites" (He didnt mention ports or apps) could not be free, so they decided to block em. I told him that as my contract was before this blocking, i had the right to decide not on this service changes, so i had the right to cancel my contract without paying cancelation fee. They anyway rejected my offer.
How ever, as they did never mention the changes to anyone, they were subjects of an infraction, cuz in mexican laws theres one that says that its mandatory to tell the people by at least 1 way. (Internet, Tv, prints, etc)
That helped me to make a "negociation". I asked him to let me change to the cheapest plan, he agreed but charging me $2,800 pesos (250usd), i told him to consider i was his customer and had other lines, he accpeted only by 1800 (150usd).
So what is supposed to do, is to demand them over Cofetel, since they are the institution that allow their contract to be authoriced. Maybe them can ask for more, i just placed mine there.

Parte de sus argumentos eran que "Telcel no puede garantizar que estas paginas sean gratis, por lo tanto por politica se bloquearon" Mencione y explique que eso fue despues de mi contrato y que ademas no me avisaron. Y que ademas no me importa y yo creo que a nadie, que sea gratis o no, es un argumento estupido, pero como tenian que decir algo, pues se fueron por la orillita para segun ellos que no nos demos cuenta, pero hasta la abogada de la profeco se reia y decia que eso no arreglaba nada.
Fue lo único de lo que me pude agarrar, como no avisaron y obviamente no tienen el aviso, se hacen acredores a una multa aunque respecto a mi caso no ocurre ningun cambio, pero la posibilidad de pagar esa multa me ayudo a que medio me escuchara, y llegamos al acuerdo de que como ya no me sirve el plan me dejara cambiar al mas barato ($189 mixto). Aun asi el hijo de perra me queria cobrar 2800 por el cambio. Total termino en 1800, despues de hablar horas y casi rogarle.
Asi que lo demande, y termine pagando 1800 y para colmo sin poder cancelar, asi que tendre que pagar 189 mensuales por 6 meses mas.
Por lo que te sugiero, si vas a demandar tambien con la profeco, quejate de todo, pero sobre todo de que nunca te avisaron y que no te dieron la legal y mencionada oportunidad en su contrato, de poder recindir por ese cambio de condiciones del servicio. Con esto, va a venir a fregarte, pero con la amenaza de la multa podrian llegar a un arreglo.
Otro punto importante por mencionar, es que argumentaba que Profeco no "rige" a telcel, sino la Cofetel, que es quien otorgó el permiso del contrato. Por lo que al mismo tiempo demanda por medio de Cofetel, yo ya levante la mia.
Sugeriria hacerlo en ambas instituciones al mismo tiempo, ya que hay que presionar a Telcel.

Hi Victor. It's very sad to know you're living this. I think this is one of the main reasons Carlos Slim is one of the richest people on earth. If you need help with the sue process you're starting, i'd be glad to join your efforts.
One question, how cheap is to skype the mexican cell users against the telcel regular rates? (and using WiFi?) Is it a good option? I could try North region of Mexico and let you know my thoughts..

For Mexico Skype had a unlimited plan only for landlines in the three major cities: Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey, (numbers of landlines of these cities). US, (both, cell lines and landlines) and others.
The plan cost EUR 3.95 per month.
If you need to call to wireless line the cost it's a little bit more cheaper than the wireless phone. I prefer using the wireless phone to call a wireless phone. (Better sound quality)
WiFi it's an excellent option, but i repeat, only for call to landlines in the cities mentioned before.

I'll start to inform people tomorrow on regular basis. The more we are, the more difficult it will be for them to block us. They are taking advantage of the fact most people don't even know it is possible to make video calls using their cellphones and the internet plan, since Telcel now offers a proprietary software that charges an extra fee for video calls (At a higher fee than regular mobile calls).
Mexican companies are yet to experience the wrath of displeased costumers bashing their poor service and products all over the net, but it is starting to happen.
Anyone interested in joining the crusade could probably help to change this annoying situation.
Of course, you are always welcome to dump Telcel after your contract expires. As far as I know, both movistar and Iusacel still support skype.

It is free and still works with Telcel. It will probably continue to do so until a lot of people knows about it, but will buy some time while we plague their official social network official pages

Well this sucks. I was trying to get skype to work on my wife's X10 mini.
Also has anyone tried using Fring or Tango over the Telcel 3G network?
I tried downloading Fring in the Android Market while in Mexico and I could not find the app.
hi there, here's the deal, I'm from Mexico, so, I'll try to explain myself the best way posible in english, and then, put it in spanish, so if something is not well explained, can check in spanich and figure it out, or whatever, jejeje, so here I go
I got the e900h, and, in a particular party, the cel fell to the floor, and the screen got broke, real real broke, but, the touch and all the feature of my cellphone keep working in perfect way, so, the cell was ok, aparently (besides the screen broke) si it went that way for aprox 4 days, and suddenly the device restarted and, it got frozen on the LG screen, and I can't make it work again, always the same screen, and didn't go on from there, in 3 ocassions it go forward, put the other screens, and get to work, like nothing happens, but it only work for like 1-2 mins, and then restart again and stays on the LG screen, I already install the original ROM, so it has the very fist windows phone OS (windows 7) so I don't really know what would it be, I mean, I flashed the cell past friday, it all went great, and get freeze on the same screen (LG) so I let the device at the ofice and let the weekend pass, and today started again, and it work, like brand new, I started to put the first setting, hopping it didnt restart, but, like the other days, it restart, and stay on the LG screen, so, o don't think it is something on the OS, can somebady help me?? would it be a glass/touch system problem) any ideas?? hope someone can help me, so I can keep using the cell, and repair the screen, or just dump it and get a new one, hope somebody can help me, or at least, give me an answer, thank you!!!
ahora en español, por si alguien lo entiende y quiere ayudar, jejeje, a ver, ahi va
en resumen, el cel se me cayo y la pantalla (el cristal) valio gorro, esta rajado bien duro PERO, el touch esta al 100, y el cel funcionaba al 100, como por 4 dias, pero de repente se reinicio solo y ya se quedo trabado en la pantalla de LG (que es la primera q aparece cuando lo prendes) ya lo eh prendido y apagado mil veces pero nada, siempre lo mismo, a excepcion de dos o tres veces, en las cuales prendio como si nada, y funciono al 100, pero ps, al minuto o dos, se volvio a reiniciar y se quede de vuelta en la pantalla de encendido, pensando que seria un problema con el OS, que se hubiera ciclado o algo asi, ps le reinstale el ROM original (windows 7), pero ps nada, sigue trabado en la pantalla de encendido. Se que se instalo bien el ROM, y q no es un problema de OS pq ahora prendio, y todo bien, empezo con la configuracion del cel y todo el show, como si fuera la primera vez q lo usas, pero, de vuelta, se reinicio, y se quedo en la pantalla de LG (pantalla de encendido) asi q, espero que alguien pueda ayudar, o sepa mas o menos q podria ser, gracias!!!!!

Forget about the screen and tha fact that the cel fall, just focuse on the issue of the LG screen that don't move, and the fact that sometimes, it go well, but 1 minute after, it reset and stays on the LG damn screen, it just happen once again, and it's already flashed, with the original ROM, and the instalation went well....

Buenas, llevo Varios dias con el problema de la pantalla negra en la camara y con el mensaje "updating camera firmware" y de ahi no pasa, hice cambie la camara trasera, despues de eso estuvo funcionando un rato y ya dejo de funcionar, esa camara se la quite a un S4 que tenia de refacciones, despues de haber echo el cambio se me vino a la mente que talvez era problema de hardware, el dia de hoy realice una prueba con otra tarjeta logica probando las dos camara la sorpresa fue que si funcionaron las dos sin problema alguno, entonces llegue a la conclusion que podria ser problema de la tarjeta logica? o cual podria ser la solucion, no tiene garantia, o que me recomiendan hacer, una limpieza a la tarjeta? espero y puedan ayudarme, y disculpen el traductor jaja, saludos.

Primero de todo saludos, y pido perdon por el ingles ya que hablo español y tengo que usar un traductor. aun asi aver si podeis ayudarme, resulta que tengo un htc desire 820 de orange en españa. todo empezo cuando queria tenerlo root , luego me salio un actualizacion del sistema y al actualizarlo el movil quedaba en loop se apagaba y entraba al recovery se apagaba y volvia al recovery, yo sin saber que hacer hice limpieza a todo, sistema, data, almacenamiento interno a todo, tengo el movil en s-on y el boot loader cerrado no puedo entrar en recovery me sale re- bloqueado lo cerre para intentar instalar el os, y antes de todo en el modo recovery me decia que no tenia sistema operativo instalado, estoy desesperado no se que hacer el movil lo compre hace menos de 1 mes ya intente de todo y no soy capaz de instalar ningun sistema operativo o quizas no sepa como hacerlo.

1) hold power button + volume down button for 2 minutes.
2) If above method doesn't work
Try holding the power button and volume down buttons down,
while holding the proximity sensor directly under a very bright light.( I AM NOT TROLLING)
Note: It happened with me yesterday, and I don't know which of the above method worked but me and my phone got back to life

I have HTC desire 820 . on 4 Jan 2016 my phone warranty expired and on 10 Jan 2016 I was using my phone normally . I was in market at 6 pm my phone battery decreased to 5% when I put my phone to my pocket then approx 9 o'clock I was in my room then I took out my phone to my pocket I saw my phone was switched off then I think it was due to battery discharge . when I plug my phone to charger it was not taking charging only my indicator light is continuaslly blinking . and phone was not starting now . when I visit HTC service center they told me that your phone mother board replaced at the cost of 9000 indian rupees . i don't what happen to my phone . I always using my phone very safely . really sad . plz help me if any one can I really thankfull to him.. Thanks

Charge your mobile for a day. Plug your device via USB on your Computer and if you hear some sound then there is a possibility of fixing your phone. I am talking about the sound which is heard when you insert a pendrive or any hardware via usb. If you hear it, follow my instructions given above.
