Since we need thread about latest development of Marshmallow update for S6 and S6 Edge, and last one got closed... please keep this one by the rules.
By checking 20min ago with SamFirm for DTM CSC i got info that 6.0.1 is up, but when i clicked to download it turned back to...
"Checking firmware for SM-G920F/DTM/G920FXXU3DPAD/G920FDDX3DPAF/G920FXXU3DPAJ
Error: Could not send BinaryInform. Status code 200/400
Request was invalid. Are you sure the input data is correct?"
and 5.1.1 again. Looks like they are getting it ready.
.
Hope this thread could be kept clean.. Also the other user claims that he checked the samfirm for PHN and got this for s6 edge;
Checking firmware for SM-G925F/PHN/G925FXXU3DPAD/G925FDDX3DPAF/G925FXXU3DPAJ
Model: SM-G925F
Version: G925FXXU3DPAD/G925FDDX3DPAF/G925FXXU3DPAJ
OS: MarshMallow(Android 6.0.1)
According to him, update dissappeared suddenly.
That DTM error has been there since last week, it's not new

Germany has been a lot of time the first European country to get Samsung updates, so that could be the case again.

None-the-less, this one's a duplicate.
Stop branching MM discussions; it's confusing as it is. We don't need another MM thread speculating its release date.

This one is simply to tell people when MM drops, nothing else. The thread you've linked to is a general Marshmallow thread in which people discuss everything under the sun. Why should you worry if there are two distinct threads?

No, devices with custom recovery can not get OTA updates. You will have to restore to the stock recovery or wait for flashable ZIP version of the update.
I've installed the pre rooted kk version yesterday. But I think I'll go back to linaro cm11. LGs ok seems not fully allowing immersive mode. What I'd love to keep around would be the keyboard and the lock screen. I just love how the lock screen wallpaper reveals the home screen around the finger where the screen is touched. Other than that I think I liked cm11 better. I just have to pass on ART in favor of exposed. Xposed just brings so many options. Btw some Xposed modules just don't work as expected on stock.

Technically its not, because we are reporting official update being rolled out in Korea in the General section and not a download link to the actual firmware, plus I didnt get that link when I searched the other day.. anyways .. if you feel that disturbed by my post .. How does my giving a link get interpreted as being disturbed? Someone accused you of having gleaned it from XDA, and instead of simply saying they were mistaken, you quoted the timestamp as proof. The link I gave clearly says it was taken from the official LG servers, and beyond the dozen posts that preceded your thread, I personally posted I had installed and tested it, and deleted it, all before your thread. That does not mean you got the information from XDA, but it was definitely already being discussed and tested before you posted it, that's all.
Does anyone know if it solves the 7 edge led lighting problem?
Hey there,
I am looking for Samsung's original stock rom for the SM-G900F (Snapdragon). I am currently running Xtresolite 1.3.1 and I want to go back to stock without root because I'm trading my phone. I've googled a lot but every single link I find either has links for various countries and networks and I'm just not sure which one to download. In addition to that, every link I think was good takes ages to download..(terafile and sammobile). I am currently downloading this one though I am not sure it is the right one http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=32639.
So if someone can provide a link I would really appeciate it. SORRY FOR BEING A NOOB!

I just turned on my phone a few minutes ago and saw the update.
Honestly, I wanted to check here on the XDA forum first to see who installed the UPDATE for the phone, because frankly, after the recent Lollipop UPDATE that Google sent out to their Nexus line of devices, and the HUGE DRAMA with system BUGS, I'm leaning toward conservative -- even though I know this isn't a Lollipop O/S update.
UPDATE: I found the link on T-Mobile's website, and they say, "This update provides Chinese language support"
https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-18152
Went ahead and allowed the update to be applied but because I have already rooted it the update wouldn't take.

Just a few more days and I will get home to my Edge that is sitting in its box. After setting it up I am going to use your root method.
Saw the update this morning when I got up and this popped up in the googletron. I know it's for the Note 4 but I'm wondering if any of this garbage will happen post update... Anyone have any issues like stated in the article?

Please note that I am not rooted yet, had an issue with my accelerometer with my first Edge and I'm giving this a few weeks to see if anything crops up first.
My girl got this is morning. Nothing on my phone but i havent check either. I always wait until i get the info on xda first.
But with it just being language support i doubt i will be looking for it.
But im also willing to bet its a patch for something and they just dont want to say so.

Hi, feel like an idiot having to ask this but I'd rather be an idiot with a working phone than one without. Anyhow when you say update via ODIN, which slot am I putting it in to? Or maybe the better question is where in the CF Rooting process does the zip or rather md5 file get flashed?

That's BOGB, so the latest 5.1.1.
Too early to say for sure if this fixes all my issues with my S6E but, after 24 hours running it, it does seem better than any of the other S6E builds I've used.

That's cool. It's difficult for me to say as I never got the update to the first 5.1.1 and was stuck on 5.0.2 and only yesterday did i get the update to 5.1.1
But so far battery life seems to be on par with 5.0.2 and I do notice that unlocking the lock screen and going into the home screen seems a tad faster.
is it worth to loose root? cos i'm still on 5.02 with Root Exploit [email protected] and i use Titanium Backup a lot
Battery seems to be better on mine since the update

Link on AFH for Tmobile N930T Firmware above. I only posted the link, did not provide the actual firmware.
I *think* I have the most current firmware so flashing this would be just to fix problems, correct? Or maybe I'm not reading the version correctly? My build number says MMB29M.N930TUVU1APGC. Also, can someone tell me what the prefixes in the OP reference? (AP, BL, CP, etc.)
Sorry for the dumb question... My rooting days ended with Note 2 and I promise I searched.

You are correct...should you need to be able to flash full stock Odin tar to recover a brick, this is your file lol the prefixes in the files are BL=BOOTLOADER, CP=MODEM, and AP is basically your rom/recovery tar slot...there's a slot that's associated with each mount point in the physical storage for each separate partition in the device, and there's a few others but I'd only concern myself with these 3 until you're up to speed on recent techniques...AP is basically sort of the "general purpose" slot, you'll use it for recovery images, supersu tars, twrp tars, full roms in tar format, etc...BL and CP you ONLY FLASH WHEN YOU HAVE EXACT AND SPECIFIC INDIVIDUAL BOOTLOADER OR MODEM TARS! I can't stress this part enough...screw up and flash a different device variant recovery in AP slot, you can always save, flash the wrong bootloader and you've got a paperweight...so don't play unless you're sure of what you have or just don't care about a grand and got it like that lol
Hope that helps, I'd suggest making Google my biatch for a while until you're current on what's happening software-side....good luck!

Thanks. And agreed, I'll be doing a lot of reading and getting re-acquainted.

Is this the original firmware from the August launch? I'm seeking a clean build without the annoying gigantic safety warning box while charging nor the stop at 60% battery life update. It would be nice to return the phone to original August launch conditions so I can just use Package Disabler to block all unwanted updates.
