Good to know that it's happening on the LG homeland, officially. For other LG products like their phones, anyone know what the usual lag time there is between release in Korea and North America?

No, devices with custom recovery can not get OTA updates. You will have to restore to the stock recovery or wait for flashable ZIP version of the update.
I've installed the pre rooted kk version yesterday. But I think I'll go back to linaro cm11. LGs ok seems not fully allowing immersive mode. What I'd love to keep around would be the keyboard and the lock screen. I just love how the lock screen wallpaper reveals the home screen around the finger where the screen is touched. Other than that I think I liked cm11 better. I just have to pass on ART in favor of exposed. Xposed just brings so many options. Btw some Xposed modules just don't work as expected on stock.

Technically its not, because we are reporting official update being rolled out in Korea in the General section and not a download link to the actual firmware, plus I didnt get that link when I searched the other day.. anyways .. if you feel that disturbed by my post .. I'm requesting to any admin/mod to remove it!

How does my giving a link get interpreted as being disturbed? Someone accused you of having gleaned it from XDA, and instead of simply saying they were mistaken, you quoted the timestamp as proof. The link I gave clearly says it was taken from the official LG servers, and beyond the dozen posts that preceded your thread, I personally posted I had installed and tested it, and deleted it, all before your thread. That does not mean you got the information from XDA, but it was definitely already being discussed and tested before you posted it, that's all.
Does anyone know if it solves the 7 edge led lighting problem?

Can I install this on an SEA phone?
I have unwittingly bought a D855 32Gb phone which looks like it was meant for the south east asian market (V10K-SEA-XX).
Can you answer the following questions for me?
1 - Will this EUR rom work on my phone?
2- Will my phone still appear un-rooted i.e. indistinguishable from a bought european phone (Some of my apps will annoyingly refuse to work if it's rooted)
3 - My model does not currently have the 4g option, from reading on here I believe it has been disabled in the software of some SEA phones. Will this EUR rom enable 4g?
I suspect (and hope!) that the answers will be yes, yes and yes! Give me some good news!
Thanks for your help
Hey!
I hope it will help but I'm a super noob and that was my first flashing ever.
So I have the SEA model too. I used this update and everything worked without any problem, I have the v20e version now. (The software version changed to GLOBAL but it's still SEA - so you will only get the OTA when they get the OTA at SEA region.)
I read somewhere that you will get the OTAs when it will be available for your region (so SEA in our case). But since flashing is super easy and I can't wait weeks to get my updates probably it wont really affect me.
And I can see the LTE option in the settings.
I atached 2 screenshots maybe it's useful for you!
Have fun with Lollipop!
Thanks for the info mate, I think you've just convinced me to have a go with it. Which software did you use to flash yours?
Can you confirm that your phone did not need to be or end up rooted as a result?
Cheers

Has anyone received the 60 mb update released by Motorola to fix the ram issue n apps getting killed issue?
Motorola loves #US ignoring Indians :/
That update is for Lollipop,

Never install the update as soon as it arrives , give it a few weeks to see how it runs .

As far as I know, a software update for our device depends entirely on Motorola. Google launched 5.1 but it was for the Nexus phones, so I guess we'll have to wait until Motorola launches the update or someone else make a custom rom. Are you sure your friend is using a Moto G 2014? Maybe I'm lost and we're getting it. I don't know

If you are still running the official stock before lollipop it is a definite improvement, however LG should be releasing the actual official release here sooner (starts trying not to laugh) or later.
Oh who am I kidding, we aren't seeing the official update until fall here in the states for the V500.
LG's non phone updates are difficult to forecast to say the least. They seem to be primarily focusing on their phones (G2, G3 and now the G4) the tablet business appears to be an afterthought.
The QPair stuff seems to finally be working for me after testing this weekend. In previous situations it could not handle disconnections and reconnections very well. Now that both devices are running lollipop and the latest version of QPair things seem to be working better... In addition my problem with SDCard's perpetually unmounting on stock 4.4.2 appears to have gone away with lollipop. My problem after a long amount of research, only occurred when the pad sleeps in a certain way. I do not have to root and disable a certain sleep mode anymore with the new release (so far with one week of testing the Korean v500 release).

Can u be more precise about the issue? I didn't understand what you're trying to say.
I'm gonna update with the Korean version as I can no longer wait for the update, but time is preventing me
There is a thread about it.... Basically the sdcard starts unmounting uncontrollably. It is now (as of this evening) confirmed to still be present in the Korean release. Which means as before I will avoid the LG built kernel... If you want you can monitor your tablet with the app called sdcard monitor by Ahmed Moharram in the play store. If you get bad removals without rebooting your tablet you have the problem.
The thread that I was thinking of is linked below, and other threads/posts are referenced in my post in that thread... I find that running certain roms or kernels avoids the issue completely which really bothers me since it means that the devs know this tablet better than LG actually does... I know it isn't a hardware problem since the 4.2.2 original release of the software for this tablet does not exhibit the issue...
Thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-pad-83/general/solved-sd-card-unmounting-issue-t3053909
I thought the notification names and related were changed to English default in this rom, but it isn't.
There's a qvoice app which displays everything in Korean. What's that?
Better battery life yes, but takes time to set up again!!
