Need help identifying this Loudspeaker in my fake Samsung S5 - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Samsung S5 Clone. As such the parts inside it are not compatible with regular samsung components. Here is a picture of what the loudspeaker looks like.

I looked up the best I can and It looks similar to a Blackberry Z10/Q10 9790 but when I googled that part. It says its an earpiece speaker. Could it be the same part?

Don't mean to sound harsh, but this is the S5 forums, if your phone is a fake, it's not an S5, so I'm not sure what help you can get from the S5 forums
If I took a ford dressed as a Porsche, to a Porsche dealers to get fixed, they wouldn't be able to help either
Ask in the blackberry forums?

IT looks like a Samsung, the Body is a samsung. To the average consumer it is a S5. Only when you take out the guts do you know its a clone.
Correction, It is a Samsung. Its just a Samsung Clone.

Samsung didn't make it, therefore it is not an S5, and as you found out, the hardware is different
It is not a Samsung, nor an S5 just because it has been made to look like one
Can you flash a stock S5 ROM from sammobile. com to it via ODIN?
Return it and buy a real S5

I can't return the phone. I just need hel;p Identifying what kind of loudspeaker this is. If I am in the wrong forum what forum do I need to post this in?

Try just sticking it in the General forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general
Or if you suspect part of the hardware belongs to Blackberry, post an image in the blackberry forums and ask someone to ID it for you

I might post it in general, but I might have better success if I were to post it in the BB forum.
IS the blackberry Priv the only Blackberry Forum subsection on xda?

Htc hero clone running windows mobile 6.5

HERO CLONE RUNNING WINDOWS MOBILE 6.5, Check this out, i dont know wether its weird or cool
http://www.wmexperts.com/htc-hero-clone-runs-winmo-weird
The specs on that phone are so low that I wouldn't go anywhere near it.
From working in a phone repairshop i seen phones like this everyday most where nokia , pretty good fakes
According to wm experts they say its made by htc
"The new HTC G3: a clone of the HTC Hero but sporting WM6.5?"
I thought it was a clone, now i am confused lol
its fake, i work on photoshop all day if you look at the offical htc hero images they have a fake lens shaddow all the way down that has been cut and pasted

FAKE
think about design before you speak
yes, i know that the hero G3 clone does not
meet the same caliber of specifications as does
it's htc-designed and built predecessor but
a real phone nerd would appreciate what the design
process is to an engineer...
are you gonna down-rate
a design that is meant to be cheap
on purpose; i mean, come on. stop
being so "hugely" corporate.
i tested and used this phone and
it's actually suberbly designed; stable
and power-saving. no drain. it
eat's very little charge.
given that it depends on which of the "tiger"
manufacturer's we are talking about.
open your eyes a little.
The fact it uses cheap crappy software and relies on the HTC Hero's brand name for marketing isn't at all "corporate" ....
And it uses very little battery because the hardware is hugely inferior (see you're previous point...)
I fully appreciate the design process - so what makes it fair for others to steal someone's design work and sell it on?
[playing devil's advocate here]

I agree on that but the outside is all the same.... :/
could it be some indian version of the i5801?
http://www.priceindianow.com/samsung-i5801-galaxy-apollo-india-price/
that is a pre production model, those pictures were probably taken when they were doing a preview of the phone, before it was released to market.
Looks absolutely different. I can see Spare Parts, Java Me, Coverter, Dev Tools apps. These were not there when i bought the phone. Looks like a hybrid phone

Nope.
I have the Indian version......
Interface is definetly different..status bar, "touchwiz"....
And two homebuttons...maybe the one what we use as a home button isnt home button.
I dont get it, why isnt there normal touchwiz, we are using
Maybe it's chinese copy?
Its a prototype of the galaxy3...samsung decided to shed some of those buttons to make it look better and cut costs

Do you have a STOCK Front Camera?

I feel this just has to be addressed. I know it has been addressed before, however I couldn't pinpoint the thread. Now let's get down to business!
If your phone was factory built with a Front Facing Camera, you are in the wrong section.
Flashing ROMs from this section will cause you problems. Likely big problems. You may get lucky and fix it. Then again, you may wind up with a fancy paperweight that is roughly the same size and shape of your cellular device.
Go to settings. Scroll all the way to the bottom, and click "About Phone". You will see some information about your phone. Look closely at the Model. If it says anything besides SGH-T959, then you have navigated to the wrong section of XDA.
Failure to strictly adhere to this warning can and will cause adverse side effects.
This includes, but may not be limited to the following: i9000, i9000m, T959v and Galaxy Blaze 4g. There are many phones that look like a Vibrant. There are some that are even marketed by carriers as a Vibrant.
In any case, the ONLY Vibrant that this section of XDA is referring to is the T959.
Thanks for reading.
Here's a link to the T959v Section.

......and don't forget that thanks button!
Bumpity bump..........
(Bumped in hopes it can help be a preventative cure. )
You were just sliced bread before you were burnt by the toaster.

Another way people can figure out what phone they have, is to check if your phone came with Avatar originally. Anything else, it's not this device.

^lol, but seriously 700 posts and still dont know whats doin.
If you have ask, then I'd say no. A rom is not worth it. If you do your homework instead, then you would already know the answer!
It's like saying do you need to modify a car, probably not. Taste for me has no limit

Mods please move this post. OP is not following the rules...

first i know its wrong section and this will be likely closed rather than moved but anyway.
installing a rom is you choice, i dont have the s5, but if i had i would do so, dude on this soc, this thing lags while scrolling lists and changing homescreens (wtf?) and animations are normally choppy (i used one for about a week). also i dont like touchwiz ui, for me, touchwiz only in note series.(but i would keep in mind a custom stock, since some features are usefull, and the camera app is really good)
If going custom wasn't really worth it, we wouldn't have had XDA. This places exists for the sole reason that someone somewhere thought that his device could do that extra mile, just with a little tweaking. We would have never reached 5.6 million members here if people did not agree to that sentiment.
However, to each their own. If you are happy with your current setup, there is nothing wrong with that. Stay stock or stay custom, the choice remains yours.

How to check whether Samsung Galaxy s5 is a replica

I just purchased a couple new Samsung Galaxy s5 from seller that claim they were new refurbished At&t units. I've tested them and everything seems to be checking out. Is there any sure way to verify whether the phones is a a genuine Samsung or a replica? I was confused because one of the handsets showed a At&t boot up logo, but the imei was showing up as a Tmobiles. Thanks any help will be appreciated.

Sorry for the double text post. New to the forums and in on a mobile lol
Boot up screens don't mean nothing. Use Phone Info from the Play Store to find out about the internals or just open up the phone and look inside....
Thanks for the input Gerard. I had already done what you recommended after doing some some research and like I said everything seems good. Correct snapdragon processors, 16gb internal memory, 2gb ram, 16mp camera. i used one app called genuine Samsung which claimed it was genuine. Should that be enough to determine it's authentic?
