Snapchat not working in my rooted 6p! - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Snapchat is not working right after I tried to use snaprefs to upload a pic, I cleared app data to get snaprefs working! I did softreboot a few times, then when I tried logging in snapchat I wasn't able to..
I got a pop up saying

Later I installed rootcloak and tried to hide root acess to Snapchat, even then I get the same message! How to get snapchat working without unrooting ?
Thanks in advance! Help please!

Do you have xposed? If so, flash the uninstaller and sign into Snapchat then reflash the xposed framework.

Don't mean to bring this old thread up but I figured its better than starting a new one.
No matter what I do, I cannot get back into snapchat..... any help is appreciated.
What I have done:
1. I accidentally logged out(wiped data files in settings) and then the trouble started
2. Flashed the uninstaller zip from recovery - try to log in to snapchat with no framework-doesn't work
3. updated to newest version of snapchat and still no luck (was running newest version usable with snapprefs
4. Rebooted and tried everything. My phone wont accept any log in info and just says the classic error message having trouble logging in...
ONLY THING THAT WORKED - using recovery I completely wiped my phones settings setting back to factory. Reinstalled older version of snapchat, then logged in, then installed the framework...
REALLY DON'T WANT TO WIPE ALL MY USER DATA AGAIN.
Any other way to get back into my snapchat??!!

Using SU, unchecking 'enable superuser' as well as 'full unroot' failed.
What other method should I be trying?

even flashing system.img in fastboot did not work. Trying to log into snapchat (not newest version) getting the same error.... really don't want to wipe all my user data again this is really annoying. Any other suggestions? As far as I am aware I am fully unrooted at this point?

Fixed it. In SU when hitting 'full unroot' I was saying yes to attempting to restore system.img when I should have said no..... mybad. lol

Nevermind then. If it was systemless root just delete su.img in /data/ flash a stock boot.img and uninstall the app, should do it.

Verizon compatible Roms???

Where are the download pages(Links) for the Roms? Where are the instructions? I wish XDA would go back to the way they were a couple 2-3 years ago. This site was great back then, now I can't find anything. When I do find something there is nothing with it or it is wrong. Please, someone help me to find the page that has the Custom Roms and Install Instructions...
I am on OF1, Rooted & Unlocked..... If that helps. I have Flashfire, TB (Which doesn't work right anymore.), Flashify, SuperSU, BusyBox, TWRP Manager on now. I have never worked with TWRP Manager nor Flashify so I am a newby to them.
Thanks.

What's wrong with Titanium Backup? Is it giving you the insufficient storage notification?
TB
Yes it is. TB stops and gives me the insufficient space notification.
I'd also like to know how to get a custom Rom on now. I'm OF1, Rooted, Unlocked, TWRP(Which I don't know how to use), Flashify, FlashFire, SuperSU, BusyBox. I have tried Jasmine 6.1 about 8 times and it does not work on my phone. My phone is a Verizon Retail SM-N900V Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

Yea I got TB to work by going into the settings in SuperSu and unchecking mount namespace separation. Im trying to figure out how to get a custom ROM on my phone as well. I got Jasmine to work but I want to try one of the new ones. At least get a new kernel flashed for Jasmine. Did you try and make a backup in TWRP yet?

I'm sorry man. Once you reboot into recovery TWRP will give you options. The backup process is fairly easy but could be confusing when it's your first time. I'll try and find an explanation video for you and let me find the process I used to get Jasmine to work. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I'll get back to you.

I think I might know what it was. When I flashed Jasmine ROM I hadn't unlocked the bootloader yet. And I just flashed it with flash fire. There was no computer involved after I installed of1 update and rooted the phone. Make a backup and try it again. Make sure you don't have both flash fire and TWRP installed. And that you have super su instead of kingroot.
TWRP
I've got FlashFire and TWRP both on and it seems to be fine. I went into recovery and did a backup with TWRP and it seems fine. I would just like to get a Custom Rom to work on here now. I use to run them all of the time before 4.4.3 came out. I finally got the TB back working and saving but it takes a very long time to run now.

Don't use that video its for a method that was used before the unlocked bootloader....
You obviously have never owned a d1 or anything else you could flash a ROM and such with... There is a tread called working vzw ROMs. You really need to figure out how to use twrp recovery not those apps you have. If you installed recovery use it. If not install flashify and choose the recovery for n900 4.4its the top one... Its all in a tread do the work and look.

Need help in unbricking my nexus 6p

i was on android m latest build and then i decided to try the new android n dp3 beta so i enrolled my 6p and updated through the ota update but after the update my 6p never started it stucks at the boot animation forever i tried wiping cache and also did a full wipe but its still the same. the oem unlock option is also disabled so i cannot flash factory images. i came to know that when we want to roll back to android m from the current beta we just have to unenroll our device from the beta and google sends an ota update of the current marshmallow build to roll back to it. now want i want to try is sideload that update package through adb an see if i can go back to android marshmallow. Please any of you who are trying out the latest android n beta provide me the zip file for the ota which google sends when we unenroll our device?
actually there is a simple step. anybody using the nexus 6p and running the latest android n beta just unenroll your device and when you get a notification for the ota update just enable usb debugging adn connect to computer and type command adb logcat and in the logcat file there will be a url for the ota just give me that url i will download it and try
Try to adb side load dp3. I think it can be installed on stock recovery and a fresh install might help. Wipe cache and factory reset afterwards and hope for the best. This won't make your problem any worse but has a chance at helping.
I had something similar like this happen, for my fix, all I did was boot to bootloader, cleared cache and then did a complete shutdown, do not just reboot, just rebooting, would go thru the boot loop, but a full power down allowed it to boot up normally. Not sure if it will help in your situation, but it's an easy try

Same thing happened to me, luckily it decided itself to boot fully after an hour. However I did notice that USB debugging was not enabled after all this mess. Does that mean if it didn't resolve then I would have had a nice brick without the option of side loading from a PC? Also does the unlock bootloader in dev options need to be checked off for any reason other than flashing custom roms? Can I still install official images and still have the bootloader locked?
Now I'm just looking for ways to be prepared in the future in case it happens again, thanks

Leave USB debugging and OEM Unlock enabled. This will help you so much more in the event of any issues during updates.
If OEM Unlock is turned off then you cannot flash factory images. You CAN leave this off and still ADB Sideload OTAs. However, if the ADB Sideload update is corrupt or flashes and you are stuck in a bootloop, there is very little that can be done to resolve it.

Yes. I tried but again got stucked in bootloop. So i am not touching any beta
It's so weird that some people get stuck with this boot loop issue and some just don't. I know things can happen, but I feel there's a enough users in the same boat that there's has to be a common denominator.

Try the option "hide magisk manager" in app settings (version 14.5) and see if it works.
I tried it but it doesn't work.

Ok, then they have a new method to detect root and there's nothing you can do right now, except waiting for a new Magisk Hide version. Its always a cat-and-mouse game.

You might want to ask in the Magisk forums, too.
Uninstall Magisk and Login with Snapchat!! Then Install Magisk again ...after doing that make sure to perform a titanium backup of any Snapchat version you are on !! Generally this problem of your login has temporarily failed doesn't arise unless u have xposed installed ... Anyways u can then use ur Titanium Backup to Restore If u have been logged out !
